Ancient Lights is a unique property located in the heart of Broadstairs. With incredible sea views, this beautiful three-bedroom holiday home is the true definition of a coastal retreat. The Space
Ancient Lights has modern and stylish interiors throughout. The property has an open plan kitchen, living and dining room which is the real hub of the house. With a comfy corner sofa and a flat screen TV, this is the perfect spot to relax after a busy day. Beautifully styled, you’ll find patterned cushions and neutral walls throughout the space.
Also sharing this space is the dining area which includes a round table and six matching chairs. You can enjoy meals here with the rest of your party or work here as it also doubles up as a laptop friendly workspace.
Fully equipped for self-catering stays, the modernly styled kitchen has everything you’ll need to prepare meals easily.
Ancient Lights has three spacious bedrooms. The master bedroom is a spacious king room and in the second and third bedrooms, you’ll find twin single beds. Each bedroom has premium bed linens and bedding to ensure you have the most comfortable night’s sleep.
The main bathroom has a walk-in shower, WC and wash basin.
Outside, accessible from the living area, you’ll find a spacious balcony with sea views. Ideal for warmer days, you can enjoy the sunshine and plenty of fresh coastal air here.
Neighborhood
Broadstairs is a charming coastal town in Kent known for its beautiful sandy beaches and Victorian architecture. From leisurely beach days to exploring cultural and historical landmarks, Broadstairs offers a diverse range of experiences for all to enjoy.
Viking Bay is the main beach and the perfect spot for swimming, sunbathing, and picnicking. It also gained the Seaside Award 2023 which celebrates the best beaches in England. Viking Bay was also the holiday destination of choice for Charles Dickens, and he even wrote a piece on the town itself named ‘Our English Watering Place’.
There are other beaches too such as Stone Bay and Joss Bay which are both as beautiful yet offer a quieter atmosphere for a more relaxed seaside experience.
Broadstairs offers opportunities for outdoor activities, such as coastal walks along the cliffs, water sports, and golf. The town is also part of the Viking Coastal Trail, a 32-mile walking and cycling route that explores the area’s scenic coastline.
Getting Around
Broadstairs is a fantastic base for exploring the South East of England as you’ll find direct rail routes to Ramsgate, Margate, Herne Bay, Whitstable, Faversham, Sittingbourne, Rainham, Gillingham, Chatham, Rochester, Strood, Gravesend, Ebbsfleet and London.
Various bus routes can be found in Broadstairs. The 8A travels to Canterbury, the 45 runs to Sandwich, and the 946 will take you to Margate.
All of London’s airports are easily accessible from Broadstairs via rail and road, making the town accessible to travellers from across the globe.
Guests have access to the full property. The keys are accessed via a key safe box, and full details will be provided prior to your stay.
Please note, due to the location of this property, it is only accessible via a large staircase and there is no access at street level or use of a lift. As a result of this, we would not recommend this property for wheelchair users or those with mobility issues.
