Property Details
The Space
Poplar Villas has a bright open plan living and dining area. The perfect spot to cosy up and unwind, you can relax on the comfy grey sofa and turn on the flat screen TV to enjoy a quiet evening in. The dining area features a modern round dining table and four padded chairs.
Shaker in style, the lightly coloured kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need to prepare meals easily.
Head to the bedroom and you’ll find a comfortable double bed with premium bed linens. Calming tones are added with the soft furnishings and there is a spacious ensuite shower room with a walk-in shower, WC and basin.
Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during guest bookings. For this reason, we require all our guests to transfer a Damage Deposit (refundable, subject to an administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.
Neighborhood
Ramsgate is a coastal gem nestled in the county of Kent. What sets it apart is its unique distinction as the only Royal Harbour in the United Kingdom. This title was given by King George IV himself, a testament to the exceptional hospitality he encountered during his visits. The Royal harbour showcases a marina filled with yachts and radiates a continental charm.
You can find brilliant walking trails from the busy port to the stunning cliffs. Why not walk the coastal path to Broadstairs or take the incredible Saxon Shore Way route to Pegwell Bay Country Park. If you are really into your adventures, try cycling around the coastline, or even canoe!
For a more relaxed experience, stroll around Ramsgate’s artisan and boutique shops or take a slow walk along the award-winning golden beaches. After you're finished, end your day watching the sun set in one of the pubs lined along the harbour.
If you are looking for something a little different on your trip to Ramsgate, you could get up close and personal with some seals? Make unforgettable memories and hop on a boat to an active seal colony inside a National Nature Reserve. Here you can see over 30 of these wonderful mammals swim and flap around on the shore, as well as a great range of migrating birds.
Getting Around
Ramsgate rail station is a 15-minute walk from Poplar Villas, with regular routes to London and Margate.
The nearby towns of Dover, Whitstable and Margate can be reached via car under 35 minutes so Kent can be explored easily. The beautiful town of Broadstairs is a short 10-minute drive away too!
If you’re looking to explore via bus during your stay, Ramsgate is serviced by ‘The Loop’. This runs every 8-10 minutes 7 days a week and connects Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate. You can also hop on the number 8 which travels to nearby Canterbury.

Was close to the beach, we didn't use the car the time we was there which was nice.<br/><br/>No full-length mirror us girls like to see what we look like before we leave the house. The door lock is a bit temperamental. we got locked in one evening. You had to play around with it. would be no good if there's a fire other than that it was excellent.

The most beautiful Airbnb I stayed in! This apartment is stunning, looks exactly like on the photos, very cozy and felt immediately like at home. The place was clean and tidy and really warm. Bed is super comfy. In the end we were happy that it rained one day so we could stay in and enjoy the comfort of this apartment, just snuggle in front of the TV :)<br/>Checkin and check out were super easy, clear instructions and no problem at all.<br/>Thank you so much!<br/>Oh and also there is WIFI - that was a nice surprise, considering the listing said "no wifi".

Flat was lovely, very clean and decorated beautifully, it’s about a 5 minute walk to the harbour. <br/>There were just a couple of things that could be improved. <br/>There was no dishwasher tablets or laundry detergent for the washing machine, there was also no main bin inside the flat. The shower door is very hard to open from the inside as the handle is so small and obviously gets wet, if you are staying alone it would be almost impossible to get out. <br/>Overall we had a great stay, and will definitely be coming back.

Negative...Property is Number 1. But once inside there's 4 separate flats.Had to contact host. Flat 4!!<br/>Positives....very clean. Spotless bathroom. Comfy bed. Small but adequate kitchen.<br/>Location is about 15 minute walk from train station and another 10 minutes on to the beach. In the past I've had AirBnB with the host present and met some wonderful people. This was a flat to myself and, for me, couldn't fault it. Frequent visitor to Ramsgate and will certainly look out for this flat again

We were locked our for three hours a faullty door catch it’s July 24th and I’m still waiting for the outcome of my complaint to Home and Stay I had to get a passer by to help me as three people I spoke to on the emergency line told me to get a locksmith pay for it and then contact them for a refund I didn’t want the responsibility as it wasn’t my property

We liked the location and the clean apartment<br/><br/>A door handle jammed and we couldn’t get into the flat I called Home and stay customer service they were awful we were stuck outside for three hours that evening they couldn’t send a maintenance man and told us to get a locksmith and pay them despite me refusing to have the responsibility to do this A neighbour managed to open the door We were locked out on the Thursday we got a call on the Sunday to ask if we were still outside?! I put in a complaint no response yet!
