Lovely place to stay . friendly and helpful host . Location was in a great spot close to the sea , nice pub and just few steps away from the pier and easy walk ( lots of steps!) if you like some exercises to town centre. Overall is a nice place to be , safe and relaxing and equipped with anything you need to relax . Would recommend it ! Thanks Andrea and Paul

The lobster pot is so tranquil, a great place to reflect and recharge. The local sites are within easy walking distance. The locals are so friendly making the visit complete. .there was no hot water on tap. Washing up made difficult as a result.

The Lobster Pot is a wonderful gem of a retreat. It was just like the photos, clean, cosy and warm. It was ideal for a short stay, with everything i needed including good wifi. The beach is a stones throw away as is the Ship Inn. I am a mature person and travelled alone but felt safe and secure tucked away in the grounds of a private property. I would highly recommend The Lobster Pot and its beautiful location. I appreciated the thoughful gifts of wine, snacks local information, tea, coffe etc. I didnt have time to explore the picturesque walks, other than the beach but next time hopefully I will. I intend to visit again. Very relaxing.

Lovely little find whilst attending a nearby wedding. The hut is surprisingly spacious, in a great location whilst still being tucked away and had everything we needed. Host left good local recommendations and additional goodies. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!

Beautiful little Shepherds Hut in Saltburn. Within short walking distance to the town centre but right next to the Cleveland Way for those of us planning on walking. Really cute setup inside and the bed was really comfy! And loved the outdoor area too. Had everything we needed for a lovely long weekend.

A little gem in a busy seaside town. The hut is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the sea front but with in 5 minutes walk. Beautiful accommodation exactly as advertised. Nothing to criticise about the place at all.

We had a lovely stay at the Lobster Pot. Great location, close to the beach and a short walk to town. Warm and comfortable but we felt the electric shower was poor in performance. The cleanliness of the hut was average - could have been cleaner in our opinion. I will contact the host directly with more info.

This is a very cute, functional and well situated residence. Hut vibe gives extra appeal. Well equipped for two, useful addition of wood burner for cold nights. Owner came to say hi too!

We had a lovely stay in the Shepherd's Hut. It's in a great location close to the beach and only 15 mins walk into Saltburn shops and restaurants. The hut is tiny but clean and well fitted out and fine for a short break. We appreciated the welcome hamper and local guidebook.

The Lobster Pot is a cosy and pleasant place to spend a few nights while exploring nearby towns along the coast. Perfect location close to the beach, just a 10 minute walk from the centre of Saltburn, and close to bus services to Staithes and Whitby. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would love to come back in the Summer at some point.

This is a really well kitted out cabin that was very clean with lovely fixtures and fittings. It’s in a great location in strolling distance of the Cleveland way and Saltburn. We were however disappointed to find instructions asking us not to use the log burner in the guest book when it was a major draw for us and highlighted in the listing. We found the cabin very cold on arrival and it took the little electric heater several hours to get it to a temperature where we could take our coats off! The bathroom was freezing the whole time. There was also no hot water in the kitchenette or bathroom while we were there (although the hosts were responsive about getting it sorted for the next folks). And we were only there one night so it wasn’t a big issue. There was hot water available in the electric shower. We were offered a late check out for the inconvenience, but after passing a very chilly evening we declined it.

Staying at the Lobster Pot was a complete delight I had the option to stay at a local hotel but really didn't want to face the loan eating and usual hotel procedures The amenities listed on the digital handbook or mirrored what was an offer everything worked and it even more special was that everything was pristine and clean. The Lobster Pot offered me a warm comfortable environment two minutes away from the ship pub which serve fantastic food and I also tried a few beers I would love to come back and stay here again and would highly recommend to anybody visiting the local area, walking the headland is a must as it's so beautiful.

Non refundable £25 damage fee you have to pay, surprised with this once you have booked. Non refundable. You choose £250 damage fee which they refund you back £240 within 14 days or £25 no refund just incase you damage something. No choice as property is non refundable. Put me and many other guests off the property. Other than this huge negative, Nice welcome post card and some chocolate wafers and milk. Clean bedding. Comfy bed. Shower works well and hot water supply good. Nice and quiet. No bin bags in any of the bins. Need clearer instructions on finding property. Did not appreciate the constant messages to pay for the damage waiver and then once I did pay I still got messages about if you do damage anything call us.

Chosen, after being let down elsewhere, because of the location. Unlike just about everywhere else in Saltburn, this does not require a long climb up a steel stair of 130 steps just to get a drink and a bed. The place was comfortable, clean and tidy. Described as a chalet - this is not a chalet, it's closer to a shepherd's hut. Photographs are very deceiving this place is very small and is cramped for one. Kitchenette area is good, but guests would be pleased to see some sort of storage for clothes - not a rail, wardrobe, or drawer in the place. Four pegs, I assumed were for clothes, and yet the outside two are so close to the wall as to be useless . Absolutely bombarded by emails prior to arrival, one of which asked for another payment to cover 'possible damage': either a £250 payment which could be refunded if unused (less £10 administration fee) or £25 non-refundable. Shocking! But the last 24 hours proved ridiculous. I informed them of arrival time, and knew I had to be out by 10am on Tuesday the day of departure. I had an email on the Monday morning, another on the Monday afternoon, a note stuck under the windscreen of my car, and a text message on the Tuesday morning all telling me to be out by 10am for the cleaners! (The last one delivered 90 minutes after I'd left!) So many I felt I was being harassed. Nice enough place (if you're on your own) but take my advice - it just isn't worth it!

Lovely stay at this beautiful shepherds hut, great location for beach and walk into town . Owner was very helpful with local recommendations, friendly and ensured we had everything we needed. First time in the area, great base for coast and moors, we will definitely be back and look forward to another stay at the Lobster Pot.

The Lobster Pot is hidden away, so quiet, but a short walk from the beach, a pub, and 5 mins from Saltburn town. It is very comfortable, has everything you need, and the (very friendly) owner was on hand for any needs you might have. Liked everything! It was quite pricey for what it is, but the owner reports that he has revised this, which was good to hear, and I think will make it more accessible for many.

A wonderful hide away perfect for a couples getaway and/or for anyone that surfs! Less than 30 seconds away from the beautiful salt burn beach. The lobster pot was clean and well kept. I would recommend it highly, my boyfriend and I thought it was a lovely space to stay. Only issues was the £50 cleaning fee for only one night and £25 non refundable deposit or £250 refundable one - absolutely excessive for such a tiny space and short stays
