Excellent location, fit for purpose, easy access to walks.

Property interior dated, needs refreshing, no outside tap for dog to clean. A number of maintenance issues. Bad sewage smell under sink on arrival, shower downstairs not very good. No mirror above main bedroom sink. Backdoor stuck and difficult to open. Some kitchen utensils need an update. property next to main road, this was not mentioned in the write up.

Perfect cottage in a beautiful location. Everything we needed with a lovely enclosed garden for our two dogs. Great walks close by and good places to eat. Comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen. Brancaster beach which is a short drive away is stunning.

Can’t fault anything about our stay.

Unfortunately it wasn’t quite the stay we hoped for! We had issues with the hot water not being on, after we worked this out, it was linked with the heating and in this hot weather wasn’t ideal. So had to go round turning off the radiators. None of this was in the booklet!
The location is lovely next to two pubs and close to the marshes. However, please note it is on a busy road!
The cleanliness of the property wasn’t good, dust under the sofas and around the property. The bathroom floor was dirty too! It just didn’t feel clean. The back garden grass wasn’t mowed either.
Overall the property needs maintenance and does not reflect the price when in peak times.
Finally, on our last day we were abruptly disturbed by a man accessing the side garden into the garden to look for a parcel. We were shocked by this and more importantly the gate he opened onto the main road as we had dogs! Overall left a last impression.

lovely property, lots of things nearby. Location instructions could be clearer and the water pressure in the showers was sometimes non existent but that said the property was lovely and very well equiped. We would love to return

Ruscon Cottage was a home from home and perfectly located for a few days on the North Norfolk Coast. Parking for 2 cars was a bonus and the small fenced outside area was safe for the dogs. There's no welcome pack to speak of so you would need to take/buy essentials such as tea bags, toilet roll etc. Beds were super comfy, plenty of hot water and the downstairs area is cosy but spacious enough. We would be more than happy to stay here again.

Nice little cottage in a great location, behind the marsh, between two great pubs, serving excellent food. pleasant enclosed garden area with table and chairs. Good Log burner with plenty of logs and firestarters (we bought kindling as couldn't find any). Lovely walks along the marshland and very close to the excellent crab hut.
Cottage sleeps 6 comfortably, with super comfy beds. However we found it a little small downstairs for 5 and a small dog (3 adults a teen and a child).
We would have liked more cutlery (lots of knives but not many forks) and something for kids to do. There are no board games or kids books, just jigsaws in styles that might please the older generation.
Tip to find the cottage...it is beige with crosses on the side, not white as the instructions stated. We had a little trouble finding it for this reason.
We had a lovely stay. The location is great and the cottage is very nice but would say too snug for 6, unless there are a few younger children in the group
