The property was modern, clean, comfortable, very roomy, and the Christmas tree and tasteful decorations were a lovely touch (including stockings on the bedroom doors!) First-floor flat, so only two short sets of stairs to climb for this one and everything was provided: clean towels, clean bedding, body wash/soap, all the appliances you would need including tea/coffee/sugar and even a Nespresso coffee machine and washing machine, which we didn't use, but nice to have the option. The only thing we didn't have was a washcloth/sponge to wash dishes (we bought one quite cheaply), but there is a dishwasher in the apartment with a couple of tablets if you were eating in a lot, we didn't use this as we ate out most of the time. An EE Freeview box was available to watch with the option to sign into your Netflix account as well. Bedrooms were comfy and clean with plenty of space to hang clothes. Hosts were very helpful, and they got back to me very quickly via messages when I was confused about which building we were in, and when I was worried about the car parking space being small. The parking space is fine as long as you take your time when parking, as it is a little snug (I had a Vauxhall Mokka and didn't have too much of a problem). Very easy 10-minute walk into Whitby centre which was ideal. Would definitely book again! It was hard to get the apartment to a comfortable temperature, especially the bedrooms, which didn't feel quite warm enough. Although the thermostat in the living/dining area was reading 19 degrees, it just didn't feel that warm. However, we didn't feel too cold either, and for some reason, the bathroom was always the warmest room in the apartment! The frying pan had seen better days. We didn't use it, but if you like a fry-up in the morning, maybe take your own!
