The Space

When booking this home, you’ll have full access to the property which includes a fully equipped kitchen, dining room with a dedicated desk area, living room, two bedrooms, a family bathroom and a rear courtyard with outdoor furniture. There is an EV charger for electric vehicles, ample parking, and a garage.

If you're looking for a place to unwind after a busy day, the living room is the perfect spot. Relax on one of the comfy, leather sofas and turn on the 4K Smart Fire TV to keep up with your favourite shows. If you prefer to read, the velvet armchair is the ideal place to curl up and get lost in a good book. Beautifully styled and decorated, the room has a chic yet homely look.

Modern and minimalist in design, the kitchen is stylish yet functional. You’ll have everything you could need to enjoy home cooked meals during your stay as the kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, hob, fridge freezer, kettle, microwave, toaster. You'll also have the added luxuries of a dishwasher, washing machine, dryer and coffee machine!

A fantastic place to socialise and enjoy meals, the dining room features a light wood table and velvet dining chairs. Also sharing this space is a desk area which includes a 24 inch AOC monitor and a HDI cable making it perfect for those who are staying for work purposes.

The family bathroom, located to the rear of the property on the ground floor, has a bathtub with an overhead shower, WC, vanity unit, and a fully lit mirror.

Take the stairs up to the first floor and you’ll find two bedrooms. The master bedroom boasts a king size bed, and the second bedroom is home to a super king which can be split into two singles upon request prior to your arrival. Both bedrooms have premium bed linens and ample storage space, ideal for longer stays. All beds at South Riggs are made using premium iGel Advance pocket sprung mattresses with a dreamy pillow top layer for total comfort at night, while TVs are also available in both bedrooms.

Outside you’ll find a private rear courtyard with outdoor furniture and seating for all guests. Perfect for al fresco dining and unwinding in the sunshine, this outside space also boasts outside lighting and a canter lever washing line, so the outdoor space is a real added bonus!

Neighborhood
South Riggs is located on a quiet, residential street in Bedlington just a short walk to local amenities, shops and the nearby high street. With popular eateries, boutique shops and rolling countryside, Bedlington has plenty to offer. A quieter alternative to some of the busier seaside resorts in Northumberland, it's the ideal place to enjoy a relaxing break or well placed work stay.

The town is surrounded by a peaceful river to the edge of the town, with local walks at Plessey Woods Country Park, Humford Woods, along with a number of additional walking and bike trails nearby. If you are a keen golfer then don’t miss out on Bedlingtonshire Golf Course, designed by the world-renowned Frank Pennink, or Morpeth Golf Club set in 130 acres of rolling countryside designed by the six times open champion Harry Vardon.

The perfect base to explore the beautiful Northumberland coast and countryside, Bedlington is a short 10 minute drive to the nearest beach and within a 20 minutes' drive of Whitley Bay and 25 minutes to Amble. Blyth is also a short drive away.

Getting Around
The closest train station to Bedlington can be found in Morpeth which is a short 10 minute drive away. From here, you’ll have direct access to Newcastle within 15 minutes as well as Edinburgh and York within 1 hour and a half. There are also routes to Manchester, Liverpool and London from Morpeth so it's very well connected.

Newcastle city centre and Gateshead are just 30 minutes away via car. When it comes to visiting nearby towns, Cramlington, Blyth and Whitley Bay are a short 20 minute drive away.

Guests have access to the full property. The keys to South Riggs are accessed via a key safe box, and full details will be provided prior to your stay.

Private on-site parking is available on the driveway to the side, and in the parking area at the front of the property. An EV charging point is available which can be operated by using a card provided. The garage is available for parking and storage and has an electric up and over door.

Please note that a Ring Doorbell with camera in installed at South Riggs, along with a Ring security floodlight above the garage, also with a camera. Both devices are installed in the interests of guest safety and security.

Lovely two bedroomed house in the surprisingly lovely Bedlington. Immaculately presented and thoroughly modernised. we would have stayed longer if it wasn't already booked. Lots of nice dog walking locally, dog friendly pubs in walking distance. Highly recommend.

Never do I give something 10 out of 10 but this place, and its host absolurely smashed my expectations. The host was very helpful and supportive. The property was outstanding in every aspect. This was my first experience of an Airb&b and its a gem. I literally am unable to fault the place or the host.

We were in Bedlington for a family gathering and the house was a perfect base. It was exactly as described with lovely decor and fittings and it had everything we needed for our stay. The information pack and general guidance was really helpful, I made use of the work/office area and everything worked perfectly. We'll definitely be back to stay soon.

Je slaapt boven maar er is geen toilet wat ik een groot nadeel vind. De EV lader viel telkens uit maar daar laten ze naar kijken en we krijgen daar ook een vergoeding voor. Verder alles prima in orde.

Ive stayed in many Airbnb type places with work so decent and some absolutely dyer. This place was one of the best. All the mod cons you need and more. Freshly done and nice and clean. There is plenty of parking you could get 3 cars on the drive without using the garage. There is a very small courtyard to the rear with washing lins and bistro set. The area is nice clean and quiet. It is well equipped with quality kitchen wears, which makes a change from the normal rentals. If I was staying in the area again i would definitely be happy to stay here again.

This is a lovely home away from home. It had great remote working facilities and it was close to a street of shops and restaurants with everything you'd need. The house was immaculate, everything was new.
