The Knight Street Penthouse I

Lovely size and well furnished. No one mentions the pub opposite or the building site on the other side - no curtains on the side where the building site is so wandering around the flat was fun with burly builders trying not to look in.

Dale and team were so wonderfully helpful and responsive. Check in was super easy, the property is amazing and even though it’s in a block of flats and very central, it’s quiet and relaxing. I would definitely stay again!

Amazing apartment- very clean

Location was great

We liked the space of the penthouse and the location was really good. We felt that the sofa bed that was in room 1 was way too hard and uncomfortable and a single bed should be on there as there is enough room. The sofa beds in living area were also dipping so not comfortable.

Location and space in the apartment Heating didn’t work spoiled our Xmas there Xmas eve Xmas day and Boxing Day with no heating on the phone to them 3/4 times a day issues wasn’t resolved and the offer £100 compensation after paying £1131 to stay there totally unacceptable

After approaching this chain and noticed they had a few properties in Liverpool I made enquiries about step free locations. I got directed to one in particular that looked amazing had great reviews. It was for my 30th birthday so I had a large group coming to stay. Arrived on the Friday evening and it was not step free or accessible like the host had told me therefore I had to upfront more cost for hotel stays borrow money from people to sort hotels all over Liverpool, which was just not fun before getting a refund. Wish this didn’t happen as it spoiled my birthday plans being 5 hours from home. I did my part and asked specifically if it was that free and I was given false information so b frustrating. Please adjust your advert accordingly that it is not step free. There are a few flights of stairs before you can get to the lift. And when you’re at the top of the lift 3 steps you need to open the door to find the lock box and then there’s two doors so I don’t know which one was which

The location is amazing with just a few minutes' walk to the city center. There's great restaurants options and shops just around the corner as well. The weather was horrible :)

Should be a great apartment but let down by poor maintenance. Missing shelves in fridge, rickety dishwasher, 2 dirty pans left in oven,dusty shelf in one bedroom,sweet wrappers in drawers, one shower door stuck open, microwave loose in housing, heating max not warm enough and couldn’t change it. Currently building works in next building so fairly noisy and view disappearing.

Location was spot on for us - right in the centre to all the shops, bars & restaurant with only around 10-15 mins walking distance, and quicker if you got taxis. The apartment was extremely spacious & had the most glorious views over the City. The mattresses were OK - not as comfy as I would have hoped but we were there for 2 nights only, so didn't make a massive issue for us. We also were surprised that the bi-fold doors in the kitchen did not have blinds, so those of our party who stayed on the sofa beds felt exposed!

The location was great, we loved the bifold doors and views. The layout of the apartment was great for what we wanted. The bathroom was a great size, the shower pressure was fab with plenty of hot water and the bedrooms were light, bright and really comfortable. Charlie who was our contact was brilliant and so so helpful, would absolutely recommend booking for a group adventure in Liverpool. The sofa beds definitely need a mattress topper. We found the table was not big enough for us all but there was the breakfast bar so we all had a seat and the kitchen had no basic amenities such as salt/pepper/cooking oil. No washing up liquid and the dishwasher was not full of cleaning salts etc. This was fine but we didn't order on the shop so make sure you take supplies if planning on eating in the apartment.

The property was clean and spacious. It had lots of outdoor and indoor space. It was ideal for a large group The property is advertised for sleeping 11 it has 3 beds and 2 large sofa beds the bedroom which is advertised for 4 people has a double bed and single sofa bed. There was 2 bathrooms with one role of toilet roll in each. For a 2 night stay for 11 people this wasn’t sufficient.

Pre-arrival emails from Host & Stay were helpful and timely. Location was great. Open plan kitchen/dining area/lounge was nice. Cleaners not finished when we arrived at the check-in time. Cleanliness was below par - cigarette ends on balcony, some dishes left dirty. Most of freezer unusable due to being frosted up. No coffee machine at first - replacement didn't work - no progress on sorting this, with sporadic contact from Host & Stay customer service. Main complaint was that we paid for a premium luxury apartment but many aspects were very definitely NOT premium - all beds were very uncomfortable, no blinds in living area for sofa bed users, unable to shut bi-fold doors to balcony in living room, door handles and blinds broken, frayed carpet,dishwasher tray damaged/missing parts, no rack for grill pan (some of these issues had been raised in previous customer reviews - so not new issues!). Furthermore, provision of crockery/cutlery/kitchen utensils was insufficient or absent for a premium property with capacity to sleep 10 - insufficient cereal bowls & small glasses, only one tea towel and absence of washing up bowl & plug for kitchen sink, no serving bowls, egg cups, oven gloves, crockery/cutlery for small children, no washing up liquid etc. Customer service was poor when we raised some of these issues - both during our stay and afterwards. We lodged a detailed email compliant on 8/9th Aug with H & S and were disappointed to get no reply until 26 Aug - where they acknowledged their customer care was tardy and apologised for the disappointment we experienced with the customer service and the poor standard of the apartment, for which they offered us £145 compensation. We emailed back on 28 Aug stating we thought their compensation was insufficient and that we continue to seek 50% of the £1166 cost on account of the significant shortfalls in both customer service and standard of the apartment. We have heard nothing since - hence why we are now raising the complaint for compensation to Booking.

Beautiful looking accommodation, very clean and spacious, great views over the city, good location. No extra set of keys, broken cutlery drawer, not enough cutlery, only 3 toilet rolls. Gets very warm so fans would be a good idea, also no hairdryer.

Perfect location for walking to anywhere you in the city centre. Great space for a group trip. Even better we had lovely weather to enjoy the huge terrace.

This is the worst AirBNB we stayed in. First we arrived and it was hot. We opened the windows and flying bugs entered. Finally there is construction going on and noise all night and day. The host was unresponsive and rude.

It is located in the centre of Liverpool. 5min walk to Liverpool Cathedral. Many shops and restaurants in the area. Not enough cabinet storage to hang clothes.

Location was great. The space was brilliant… lots of indoor and outdoor space for us to be able to cook and chat. Towels and linens were all clean. No blinds in the living room. We had people sleeping on the sofa bed but there are not curtains or blinds so you are woken. The sofa beds are not comfy. Building work on one side of the apartment which woke us up on Saturday.

Had a great weekend as a group of 11 of us as we fitted just fine! Any more may have been a squeeze. The place is squeaky clean and looks just like the photos, in fact better! The kitchen/living room space is fantastic. The balcony and view are amazing. The location is very central which is great. Overall a great stay and would definitely recommend it! Thank you

Fantastic apartment with several terraces. Great location within walking distance to bars, restaurants and the docks. We really enjoyed our stay.

The location of the property is good. Bars/restaurants are within walking distance but in a run down area. The property is sold as sleeping 11 but definitely catered more for 6. 6 proper beds, cutlery for 6, cups for 6 etc. The 2 sofa beds in the living room are not beds you pretty much slept on the springs, my friends said it’s the worst bed they’ve ever slept in hotel wise also only thin office like blinds on one side of the living room meaning it was very bright. Unsure how they can class this as somewhere to sleep in this state. door to balcony was broken and cleaners advised been like this some time. The outside area was filthy no attempt at trying to just make it a bit tidier or cleaning it. The girls across the hall said there specifically asked for the room with the orange sofas after hearing some bad reviews on the one we stayed in. We had to contact the cleaners for bedding and cups and they did come pretty quick though. Liverpool was amazing but this so called luxury apartment is not luxury or worth the money at all.

Would highly recommend staying here, perfect central location and beautiful apartment.

Apartment was very clean and nice with plenty of space for a group, location is good too, about a 5-10 min walk away from any bars and Liverpool one Few minor things when we arrived at the apartment such as broken handles but this didn’t impact our stay, the host was very quick to offer a solution and communication was good!

Very good location and easy to access. The property could do with some slight improvements. There were a few broken door handles and marks on the walls

The size and location. The large room was quite noisy at night time, and could benefit from having curtains or black out blinds. Due to the large number of windows it was very bright in the morning. As a family with children we could not put the children on this room, it was also colder in this room.

Loved the size of the penthouse throughout, modern and clean with a huge terrace. Very well equipped kitchen, lovely soft towels, powerful showers and a lovely freestanding bath where i enjoyed some 'me' time with a nice glass of wine ? ? The balcony off the kitchen looked out onto a building site. However, as it is January, we didn't utilise this space so nothing spoilt, we had a few issues with the heating/thermostat but the staff were very helpful and responded to our queries in a timely manner, could not fault them. I would have also liked to have seen kingsize beds in the penthouse rather than doubles

Great place for groups for a weekend stay, so close to everywhere you’d want to go and definitely worth the price

The Penthouse exceeded our expectations for cleanliness, facilities, location, value and ease of entry. Particularly liked the e-guide which provided lots of useful information. Not a problem, but could not get the coffee maker to work and the TV kept losing channels - not that we needed it on.

Clean and centrally located. Nice views from the balcony Cheap soft mattresses and bedding. Only one thin towel each. Tiny bathroom products. Lack of any condiments in kitchen. No washcloths in kitchen, no washing up liquid. Very small frying pan for 6 adults who wanted to cook. No paper instructions explaining how to work various amenities. Water dripping in entrance hall near the front door without a visible warning sign! One of our party slipped on the step!

This penthouse was stunning so spacious and bright and modern and rhe views were brilliant. Lots of room we were a group of 7 on a city break and this was perfect for us. The apartment was warm, spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, hot water, all the essential amenities. Location is about 10minute walk to the centre of bars and shops or a quick Uber. Would love to stay here again of we come back to Liverpool! Also the staff kept in touch before and during our stay and all instructions were clear and precise. Just as a small side note a hairdryer would have been handy as we were travelling from Ireland for 2nights had little luggage room, and also a bin in the bathroom (for the females) otherwise perfect!
