This is a fabulous property.  Very well equipped and very tastefully dressed.  The beds are comfortable and the showers are great and there are alsorts of lovely lotions and potions in the bathrooms.  The biscuits and bottle of wine were also a nice touch. Just a couple of things to be aware of though.  Firstly, the entry tunnel for the parking space is very narrow so a large car would be a bit tricky.  Secondly, although there are two lovely bathrooms, one is an ensuite and the other is on the ground floor so not ideal if you need the loo during the night. The management company. They bobarded us with information over and over again, but their final message, sent the day before we arrived which contained all our entry and useful info was unreadable because they had sent the info via a link which could not be opened. Also, I asked if we could check in at 3pm instead of 4 pm but they said that would incur an additional charge.  What they didn't tell us was that we couldn't actually check in until after 7pm because the street was closed due to a gala!

Beautiful furnished, charming cottage set in a perfect location. Quiet and restful but not too far from lovely days out. Dog friendly, which is a major factor for our adventures. Susie recommendations were excellent and we have managed to explore loads of different areas. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates unique places with a lot of personal touches! Thank you so much ?

We loved the homely feel of the cottage along with all of the excellent facilities. It is in a fantastic position tucked away in a quiet corner but close to the town centre. There was nothing that we didn't love about Lilac Cottage. We would certainly stay here again.

A beautiful cottage in the heart of a lovely town with fantastic communications to all of Northumberland. Very cosy couches and high end spec fixtures and fittings. My daughter asked if we could stay for ‘100 days’

Beautiful cottage, lovely surroundings. Lovely, warm, instantly felt like home. Everything is close, but it is still a quiet place. Very good experience.

We've been to Lilac Cottage before and loved it so much we happily re-booked so you can only imagine how delighted we were to see that it's even more lovely now following the addition of an en-suite bathroom to the master bedroom. Although the addition is new it’s so in-keeping and so tasteful that it looks original. If you want the perfect get away there's nowhere better. Susie's Lilac Cottage is a great home from home. Nothing's been forgotten. The location is incredible. It’s so quiet and peaceful when you are in the cottage but less than 2 minutes away is Morpeth village with its myriad of shops and restaurants. In our opinion Lilac Cottage is a must stay location. Thanks again for everything

I have stayed at Lilac Cottage on a few occasions and each time my experience has been one of great joy. The attention to detail is second to none and the added little welcome gifts were very much appreciated. I especially loved luxuriating in the bath filled with the most wonderful smelling products and then snuggling down in the comfy big bed . The cottage is ideally placed with lots to see and do locally I used the local bus service to get around and it was always on time and regular times. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this little gem and look forward to my next visit

Not a place for families with young children. Cot and high chair were not to be found at the property, despite both being listed as amenities. Host eventually bought a cot (without mattress) and high chair for the property, but only after attempts to get us to go out and buy them ourselves on a Sunday evening - helpful! Be prepared for dog hair on the ground floor. Good location in a nice area. This place is best suited for couples with dogs.

This is a lovely cosy cottage, is warm, spotlessly clean and in a fab location, making it quiet, private but very close to the centre of Morpeth. Parking is a plus point as well. I would happily stay there again!!
