Pearl Apartment

The apartment was modern and clean, and the location was great. There was no reference that there were several flights of stairs to the flat located on the 3rd floor .

The price and location Dirty sofa,bathroom light switch,no plug for the sink to wash up no can or bottle opener switch on bathroom taps for the shower broken no where to take our recycling upstairs washing machine makes the crooked lounge light shake and the walls no sink drainer etc

We loved the decor, the space, the location and comfort of the beds, bedding. Would recommend the apartment as the best stay in Saltburn. Will definitely book and stay again!

The location was fine but not suitable for people with mobility problems, No plug in kitchen sink sofa and chairs a bit passed its best but only there for 2 days so wasn't a big problem.

Entrance and stairs dirty and damaged.The apartment was dirty, everything covered in dust and dead spiders, crumbs on bedside table, bin dirty, coasters should have been thrown away, cooking pots had food remenants, sofas filthy and stained, dressing tables damaged. Clean sheets and towels tho… ( if not we would have left) Location

Fab location Well resourced kitchen Lots of storage space in bedrooms Could not open windows- locked shut- no fans provided, apartment was very hot and uncomfortable temperature as a result, made it very hard to sleep. Double bed mattress was uncomfortable - very thin and could feel it was bobbly through the sheet, pillows were also thin and floppy. Bathroom - no plug for electric toothbrush / shaver. Shower was drencher head only, shower screen bit ineffective as a result. Armchair uncomfortable - spring in seat cushion makes it unusable. Sofa very tired, looks unclean as a result. Apartment sleeps 5, could do with 2 sets of keys , would make coming and going easier as we were 2 couples. Getting into the apartment was a farce!! Received multiple emails in the run up saying 'all set' for your stay, provided with a pin code for the lock box...perfect. On arrival , code for lock box didn't work. Why send me a code if it's not going to work ?!?!?Trying to get hold of someone was a nightmare, no answer on the 'emergency line' ? After 2 hours of calls, emails, finally someone answered one of the numbers and I was told code isn't working as I haven't paid some accidental cover insurance thing?!?!? Why wasn't this sorted before?!? £25 non refundable, sorted in ten minutes. An unexpected cost which frustrated me, feeling I was held to ransom as we just wanted to get in. Why wasn't this sorted with the rest of the fees when I booked months ago ?!? Tarnished the start to the mini break for sure, we were about 5 mins from giving up and going home. .

Absolutely beautiful, we were very happy with this apartment, expected stairs as it clearly states flat 6 on the site (clues in the name). We really rate this apartment, you certainly won’t be disappointed & we’ll definitely be staying here again, 10 out of 10! The lounge window doesn’t open which is the only thing that needs attention.

The property was clean and modern. Great location. Due to the bad weather we tried to close the main window but the latch was broken causing a cold draft. If it wasn’t broken we would have given full score.

Absolutely nothing. The apartment was absolutely filthy . Stained old furniture fit for the skip. 3 out of 4 chairs broken so unable to sit and eat . Sofa and chair heavily stained and underneath the cushions were full of rubbish crumbs stains utter filth . Dirty cutlery plates etc. No way to wash up ...no bowl no plug no dishwasher. All slat blinds filthy with dust. The list goes on . Complained instantly assured it would be fixed in the morning but sadly they failed to turn up so we were left in it again for a second night. The property is for sale so clearly no effort has put into maintenance for a long time .

Location Very little hot water so no one could have a bath or shower as hot water only lasted for a few seconds.living room window doesn’t seal properly so cold draft came through making the living room very cold. One reason I booked the apartment was I thought it would be very cosy in winter as it has a wood burning stove but it has a sticker on it saying do not use. You have to either purchase insurance or pay a deposit to stay there in addition to the price you pay for the accommodation. The company who run the apartment are very hard to get a hold of and very unhelpful when you do get in contact with them.

Nothing Everything! Dirty. Lots of stairs to get to it. Broken drawers wardrobe and bed. Hoover bucket and mop in wardrobe. No complimentary toiletries although it stated there should be

Self catering. Near the sea. The property is up for sale so it had a very minimal feel about it. It was generally clean, but storage drawers were dirty. The ice box in the fridge needed defrosting and the main room radiator didn’t work. The property is very close to a pub so consequently a lot of noise at night.

Easy to get to. Close to the beach. The main bed was broken to the foot of the bed.

location was great. it was all great. if I had to point out something that wasn’t right but it didn’t effect our holiday it would be the floor getting so wet often a shower and only one small bath mat. also the chopping board in the kitchen is soooo small

The apartment is in a great location - really close to the beach. However there is a pub at the end of the road which meant it was quite noisy at night. Good size rooms/layout, the bathroom and kitchen are in good condition. In the kitchen it would be useful to have a proper draining board for washing up and a few more bowls/glasses/mugs. TV wasn't working properly when we were there but did have good communication from the owner that they were looking into it. Also double bed in the main bedroom had some broken slats so not that comfortable.

close to local shops, beach, restaurants etc to many steps

Amazing location, very modern and well equipped. Dusty floors, felt like sand under your feet. Made it uncomfortable to walk around with no shoes. For the money I would of liked the floor cleaning properly really. Just needed a good clean in general.

Location Unclean and bathroom was unusable

We’ll situated, very close to the beach and shops; very clean and nicely furnished and decorated. Mattresses were a catastrophe :-( . Kitchen equipment lacked basic items like a pasta sieve; very little cutlery.

the location was good and close to beach the apartment was surety on arrival, dirty pots, cooker, pet hair, it goes on !

It was an absolutely horrific experience for us all Battered front door with weeds all over it. The next door held together with bits of mdf. Inside, strong Homeless Shelter vibes. Up stairs and first door has a mat outside, see photo. 4 flights up. Flat hot (all windows shut tight, little ventilation, 19C outside, but baking inside) and then, when I opened the door to the main bedroom, burning my throat, was the strong smell of smoke/tobacco/cannabis. I opened all windows. Apartment sleeps 5, there's a sofa and chair for 3, directly next to a small dining table for 4. Wifi was not working. The bathroom lock was completely broken. The shower appears to have been rescued from a skip at some point during the reign of George V abut was incongruously by a small shower screen. The water therefore flooded the floor. Furniture in the 2nd bedroom had some damage. Wardrobe in the main had an old cotton bud in. Some old/broken dusty kitchen parts/doors piled on the wardrobe in the main bedroom Right next to the bed is a cupboard (no top) housing a boiler You could see rubbish, dust & a void space and all the pipes above the flat below. Kept waking with a burning throat due to the cannabis smell. Got wheezy, having to get up and take my inhaler (was severely asthmatic by Day 2). Morning and I contacted H&S for help. No resolution, although an old man came and swilled dirty water across the dirty floor, soaking it, then passed the smelly mop over the TV shelf and windowsills as they were dusty. He was a pleasant guy but had no idea how to use a mop. By afternoon, cannabis smell FAR worse, H&S denying everything, was forced to move to Premier Inn for rest of holiday and pay for that too, or I'd have been very ill. The smell of cannabis is because they have an open void in the bedroom that needs sealing and flooring. They blamed the guy below - told me to call police, potentially putting myself & children in danger.

The decor was great The stairs where inconvenient, the TV didn't work for a period of time , the shower was not the best and the exterior was very weathered

Location excellent. Apartment was good. The hallway and stairs were smelly. The boiler in the bedroom was noisy and then it leaked gas. Not ideal.

excellent location, nice big bathroom too small for 5 people to eat, table only has 4 chairs, tv didn’t work properly and when we rang to see what could be done nobody got back to us, kitchen was poorly equipped with 2 teaspoons and a tiny chopping board, we ate out most of the time but when we did want to cook a meal there wasn’t enough to do the most basic meal

It was really worse, there was many issues in the room. there was no latch for the bathroom and the sofa pillows was full of dog hairs , there was dog hairs all over the hall it was hard to sit on the couch, the whole room was not cleaned properly before. one person from the below flat asked us not to use our bathroom since there was a water leakage from our apartment to his bathroom . me and friends couldn’t shower because of this issue. we came to enjoy our holiday but it turned up to be a horrible experience . I am not at all happy with the stayI am not paying 250£ for this I need a refund for this room. cleanliness amenities shower facilities

The location was fantastic. The boiler within the bedroom cupboard was noisy and often woke us up.

N/A The central heating system fired up far too early causing disturbed sleep, the handrail from the front door unusable due to the hight and steep steps , the hinges on the toilet seat not very clean , did not use the cooker but the cooker lid was greasy.

Ideal apartment for three friends. Great weekend break in a lovely seaside location. Apartment was clean, comfortable and in a great location.
