South Cliff Apartment

The location was perfect, a nice walk into Scarborough. A clean and very well presented apartment. We cannot fault it at all.

Very tidy and clean. Everything you need for a short holiday is there. We loved the high ceiling as well. Very close to the beach. Quiet area. Staff were prompt to reply. Not really a concern but it'd be great to have a high chair for toddlers. Everything's perfect for us though. Nothing

Close to sea front, exceptionally clean. Key holders by front door don’t have an apartment number on them so you don’t know which one to try and access, in addition, it took numerous attempts to get the thing open!

Superb apartment, very well appointed and presented, looked just like the photos. Excellent living space, plenty of room. Great location near the coast too.

Good location, good layout The last minute accident insurance farce that is mandatory to pay or else you won't be going on your trip, also the way it was messaged as a form to fill out to make your stay more better. And I still can't find any mention of that in the T and C, and that's with me looking for it. It wasn't so much the amount, just the way it was forced on you.

We were really impressed with South Cliff. the apartment was better than expected, very clean a spacious kitchen and lounge area the beds were comfortable and warm. We will use them again.

Fabulous apartment, clean and bright, really comfortable and quiet.location

We loved the fact that the property was spacious, clean and in a fantastic location. There was parking all the time, literally right outside the door and it was free. We took our dog and had no problem walking her in the area, there was a garden opposite the property for quick morning and evening walks, and transport down to the beachfront if we wanted to take her down there for a nice long walk along the promenade. The only issue we had was a lack of hot water on one of the nights. Despite following the hosts written instructions on how to heat the boiler if required, it didn't seem to work and we ended up having cold showers which isn't great after a long day at the beach. It's understandable that water is on a timer due to energy savings, but it's worth bearing in mind that when people are on holiday they often need two showers a day after beach activities.

The apartment was a great size with a lovely, spacious living room and kitchen. The bedrooms were extremely comfortable and we had everything we needed. The bathroom was great and the water pressure was amazing ? Had a fantastic shower! The apartment was exceptionally clean. The location was perfect with the cliff lift just at the end of the road. Nothing. Everything was perfect.

The location was brilliant and the parking was very easy. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed without any fussy extras and was just the right size for our requirements. Out of our party of 3 we all agreed it was one of the better apartments we have stayed in over the years in this part of Scarborough. Nothing.

The layout, high ceilings, abundant natural light, proximity to the south bay, convenient parking, advanced tech, excellent kitchen appliances, and overall homely feel were great. There was no hot water during the day unless we used the boost function, which didn’t work despite following the instructions. After returning from the beach, we couldn’t have a hot shower. We contacted the staff, but their response was slow and they provided the same instructions we had already tried without success. While the damage cover is understandable, having to pay it again if you extend your stay by just one day feels like an opportunistic money-making ploy. Regarding the value of the stay the furnishings are basic, the pillows and quilts did not match the overall cost, the beds were uncomfortable, and there were not enough towels provided for a family of four.

The location & appartment were very good. Especially with having the dogs and being opposite a small park area & the beach. Having had a back or front garden in every place we bought it was odd being in an appaprtment. However that is being picky.

Had a lovely break. I am one happy customer and my kids loved the apartment. Given a chance to visit Scarborough again, I would definitely stay here.

Lovely apartment in a great location within walking distance of promenade Bedrooms a little small, thus just standard double beds which were a little uncomfortable.

The location was great The accommodation was comfortable and A more flexible check in time We had an event to go to , so the regimented 4 o’clock check in time made this very stressful. Also having to pay a damage waiver , this should be made clear at the time of booking !!!

Great location, really clean and pleasure to always go back to after a great day out without having to drive and dead close to the sea front and the Italian Gardens and parking there was always a spot available directly outside the apartment.

Second time we’ve stayed here, everything spotless, really well equipped, just lovely.

The location was superb with stunning sea view picturesque Esplanade walks. Walking distance to shops, cliff lift to beach and spa. Dog friendly cafes at North and south bays. The weather could have been better but with such comfortable accommodations it wasn’t a problem staying in We did have a slight problem entering the building the entrance door key didn’t always unlock the front door maybe needs adjustment.

Great size for the 3 of us and dog friendly. Really good kitchen and incorporated all the appliances needed for a self-catering holiday. Large fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine made the stay really easy. Plenty of good quality crockery, cookware and cutlery. Handy printed tips and house requests dotted around the apartment helped to work out how to operate everything during our stay. Good quality cleaning equipment in the store cupboard. Plenty of clean and good quality towels. Comfortable furniture and great size beds. All in all, a great home from home. Perhaps a little short on luggage space, though that was not a real problem once we worked round it

Very modern and great facilities. The bath had some minor blemishes nothing major.

The apartment was clean on arrival. The beds were comfortable. There was a range of available products for cleaning etc to get us started for our trip. Check in was easy and hassle free. The location was perfect for us. The process for booking and all of the help from host and stay was fantastic. I personally think the towels provided are not the same quality as everything else in the apartment. But this is only a small thing that could be improved.

The apartment was very well equipped. It was clean and in a good position. The kitchen could have done with a hand towel. The coffee machine had no instructions.

The apartment was clean, light, airy and spacious. It was also very cosy. There was a huge comfy sofa which we all loved. The shower was super. The kitchen was well-equipped with dishwasher and even a Nespresso machine with plenty capsules for our short stay. On-street parking was plentiful and a voucher was supplied which made parking free! There is a Sainsbury's local 5 mins walk away where you can buy all your self-catering needs. The location was the quiet end of Scarborough and there was a choice of routes into the centre, all offering broad promenades and fantastic views. Can't think of anything!!

The property was very comfortable with good quality beds and linen. The apartment also had good on street parking within a disc zone. We were made to feel very welcome by the owners and will definitely visit again.

Location was quiet and great location opposite a small park.

Location Host and Stays involvement as booked on B.Com to discover Hist & Stay manage the property. They then bombard you with emails for money to cover damages and threaten not to let you have the keys until you’ve paid. They then persist ion sending you emails all through your stay reminding you why time to check out, late fees, damages etc..they never stop! When we checked out they then sent one welcoming us and hoping we were enjoying our stay!

The standard of accommodation was excellent. There was a seaview from the living room. Wifi was good. A TV in the bedrooms.

What a perfect apartment! A stone's throw from the beach and funicular. Absolutely everything we could have needed for our stay; a very well resourced kitchen, incredibly clean throughout. The parking was easy, plenty of space on the road and the parking permit was an added bonus! Definitely be rebooking this apartment for our next visit to Scarborough.

Great apartment and stay. Frustrated with paying 250.00 deposit and 1 week later I have still not received this back into my account. I would of preferred sharing bank details and paying for any breakages or damages post stay rather than paying 250.00 upfront. Not a great experience in comparison to 1 year ago.

Fantastic apartment, lots of easy parking, great position in Scarborough, toasty warm on arrival! It was really clean and welcoming with nice bedding and towels. The shower was a little tired and we couldn't turn the temperature gauge to get it passed tepid. Perhaps it was something we were doing wring as we didn't want to force it. To be fair it was so cold outside a warm bath did the job just as well!

We loved our visit to the Esplanade Gardens - the apartment is just as it looks and the kitchen is well stocked with what you need for it. The shower is very poor compared to the rest of the property, it was impossible to change the temperature and it did drop a fair amount of water onto the bathroom floor. The location is amazing, right on the Esplanade with the cliff lift at the end of the street, and access to the walking routes. Lots of takeaways nearby if you want to stay in but don’t want to cook. The view from the bay window is directly onto the gardens and the road is relatively quiet considering the number of properties there.

Well equipped apartment with comfortable beds. Clean, warm and spacious. Very well located for sea, walks and getting to attractions. Lovely area at the Esplanade. Love Scarborough. Not having a chair in the bedroom. Not having a lamp by the armchair in the window. But not really a problem

Very well appointed, plenty of crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils, dishwasher and washing machine. Very comfortable bed. Situated 200 yards from south bay esplanade. Would highly recommend. No criticisms.

everything was clean , fresh and well looked after . we felt as if we was at our own home . when we walked in it gave us the WOW factor . the beds was super comfy and you just sank into the mattress so gave you a wonderful nites sleep. location you could see the sea from the side lounge window so not far to walk . area is quiet on an evening , we just thought it was perfect . can’t wait to stay again . There was nothing we didn’t like . perhaps a magnifier mirror somewhere for ageing eyes . apart from that we felt it was perfect .

heerlijk rustige straat. ruim en licht appartement. parkeren goed geregeld voor de deur met een vergunning. vaatwasser en wasmachine met tablets, perfect voor elkaar. ruim keukengerei, waaronder een nespresso en koffie en thee. het centrum is 10 min lopen en voor hè strand moet je afdalen een stuk. er zijn 2 twijfelaars, die zijn best smal en voor de kinderen niet ideaal. wat kruiden en olie zou het helemaal afgemaakt hebben.

Lovely comfortable apartment with very well equipped kitchen. Nice light lounge area. Nice comfy beds Pillows let the bed down..they were not comfy...but the bed was. Had trouble with bathroom washbasin plug not popping up and down properly. Hot terminal on shower loose...bit worried it might come apart..thankfully it didn't.

Lovely apartment that is located just a minutes walk from the seaside. Great facilities in the flat and nice furnishings made our stay very comfortable. Only slight drawback was a 10am checkout.

Fantastic apartment, great location for a long weekend with the kids and dog. Car parking was great, always got a spot right outside the apartment. The open space opposite the apartment was great for taking the dog on. Will definitely book again :-)

Probably the best place we've stayed at on Airbnb. The apartment was spotless and my wife is really fussy about these things. The living area is lovely with the most cumfy sofas and a huge TV which fits perfectly where it's placed. There is just the right amount of furniture in the flat which means it's not cluttered at all. One thing to be wary of if you are having baths and showers stick the emersion heater on boost to avoid running out of hot water, so as not to potentially delay the start to your day. It's located about a 15 minute walk into Town via the Spa Bridge in a lovely area. Also you are just a few minutes walk from your own cliff lift to a take you down to the beach.

We’ve just returned from a wonderful long weekend at the South Cliff apartment. It was perfect. Brilliant location, easy check-in and out with clear communication, well equipped, super clean and comfy beds. Perfect!
