Glöyn Byw is the Welsh word for butterfly - named after the numerous different species seen fluttering around the surrounding wildflower meadow. In the foothills of the Black Mountains, with wonderful views down the Wye Valley and away to the Brecon Beacons, this spacious and wonderfully designed shepherds hut really is the perfect setting for a luxury escape for two.
On arrival, you will find your fridge stocked with a luxury hamper of local produce ready for a sumptuous breakfast in the morning. The hut has a fully equipped kitchen which includes cooker, hob, kettle and Nespresso coffee machine, toaster and fridge with ice box.
The hut boasts underfloor heating and a wood burner, however, when the weather permits, you can spend your nights snuggled up around the fire-pit toasting marshmallows or watching the stars in the night sky. You'll also find a Sonos music speaker, along with a Smart TV, in the hut.
Glöyn Byw benefits from a king size bed with plush bedding for lazy lie-ins.
The bathroom is a stylish space with a twin, rainfall shower.
This wonderful countryside location creates the perfect setting to get away from it all. After a day exploring the Welsh countryside, light up the fire, wrap up in a blanket on the hanging twin egg chair and watch the moon rise over the mountains.
