Perfect location, lovely house with everything you need for a enjoyable stay.

Lovely 3 story property very centrally located. Modern design interior throughout. Well equipped kitchen. 2 shower rooms & 3 toilets (one on each floor) comfy beds. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent stay, the house was clean and tidy and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Dale was quick to respond and provide information and provided a very helpful guide. Would recommend and will definitely stay there again.

Over 4 weeks since we went. STILL NOT GOT OUR SECURITY DEPOSIT BACK. Be warned, before you book with Host and Stay. Also requested earlier check in. But they said they couldn’t guarantee it until the day. That’s fair enough. But on the day, they offered it me for 30quid extra. Got a feeling these guys are all about squeezing as much money out of their customers as possible, and less worried about customer service. What a shame!!!

I had a fantastic stay at No. 2 The Mount for my 50th birthday. The apartment was spotlessly clean and well furnished. The heating was easy to work. The sofa and beds very comfortable. It was a home from home and in beautiful surroundings. I would definitely recommend a stay at the mount.

Accommodation was excellent. Well equipped and very clean. Allocated parking space was a bonus! Had to chase Host and Stay for the access code for key box.

This place is a gem of a find. Great location in Whitby and the private parking was a good plus. Accommodation was lovely. It was clean, light, airy and very comfortable. We had pretty much everything we needed for our stay. Communication with Dale was brilliant. Constructive criticism - supply of foil, cling film and baking parchment would be useful. It helps keep cooking trays clean during use and stops spills in the fridge when you have opened something. A decent serving spoon would also be useful and maybe a couple more baking type trays/tins. This by no means would stop us from renting again it would just make things a bit easier. My Mum had the best birthday! Thank you for having us.

My family and I had a fantastic stay at the mount. The location was perfect. A 5 minute walk to everything, you wouldn't need a car. The mount was a lovely place to stay, it had everything we needed and more. Our host with was very responsive. I will defintly be returning and recommending the mount to friends and family.

Great location in the town with the added bonus of a private parking space. The property is within easy walking distance of the beach & shops. The beds were comfortable and there was ample space for 4 adults & a dog. One tip for future guests is that once you get into Whitby the mobile phone signal isn’t great so be sure to screenshot the directions & map for the location of the property before you get into Whitby otherwise you’ll struggle to find it!

Location excellent. Contemporary, clean, modern and spacious accommodation. The fact that the door code and instructions were not sent until lunchtime on our day of arrival. No outdoor balcony or space. No views.

Just as described. Great location within walking distance of shops and bars. 5 minute walk to the Cleveland Way. Very clean and tidy, would definitely return if we are ever in Whitby again.

This property was very easy to access, the key box was easy to understand. 1st thing i noticed was how clean it looked and felt, the bedrooms was big with nice bedding. the heating was easy to work and heated up quickly. The added insurance before you travel was never mentioned, i didn't mind paying the £25 for 3 night if i had been told, as i would of sorted my own insurance and would of got it a lot cheaper. I dont like hidden costs, the hosts should be more up front about it, very sneaky!

Had a fabulous stay location perfect to walk everywhere we wanted to go

Stayed over the Christmas Period, disappointed no Christmas Tree or Decorations had not been put up. Had to purchase one to make it feel like Christmas for our daughter. Place was clean, however stains on the carpets and quite a few scuff marks on the walls, could probably do with a quick touch up. Location spot on. After we left (10am), I received a call stating we were still parked there at 13.20 ... we were actually on the road on the way home. Perhaps taking note of the vehicle make and model before we arrived would be more helpful for the cleaners, so they know which vehicle belongs to what property instead of being accused? Overall a lovely holiday with the family.

Location, decor, facilities Smell of damp, there was quite a lot of plug in airfreshners in the property. Not damp but possibly a local issue with the drains in the bathrooms

The house was very spacious, had everything we could possibly need! There were 6 adults who stayed so didn't spend a lot of time in the property but it was comfy and clean when we did! Not always a bad thing but the downstairs bedroom was too hot for us as a couple. Even when turning down was still very warm! Anyone who feels the cold would be perfect in that room!

Spacious clean well equipped Couldn’t get the cooker hob to work and the fridge froze our food. Also lots of stairs for older people.

Property is well furnished, the street is quite busy so you hear a lot of the footfall, particularly at night. The place was clean and the furnishings were nice After booking you will receive several emails forcing you to pay either a £200 deposit which you’ll get back within 2 weeks of your say minus a £10 admin fee. Or pay an additional £25. For what? This really really irritates me. Just add £25 to the price if you’re that desperate

We loved this house. It was a great location with a parking space. All the rooms were great and spacious. Everything was furnished beautifully. We would definitely stay again. The only thing that stops us giving this place an excellent rating is the absence of a few things in the kitchen. There were only two dishwasher tablets left and a tiny amount of washing up liquid. We were there for 4 nights so had to go out and buy dishwasher tablets, kitchen roll and washing up liquid. Other than that a great place and excellent value for money.

Perfect weekend, the accommodation was exceptional . A very luxurious feel thought out. Everything you could possibly need was provided. Would recommend to anyone who likes to have the freedom to come and go and do their own thing and not be governed by hotel times.

First impressions very clean and well presented great location had a great stay as a group of 5 with 2 dogs ? Doesn’t have a garden but worked round it no problem

A lovely place to stay. The only issue was that the online guidebook wasn’t available on the day of arrival, and there was no info in the house itself. So had to message to get WiFi codes etc.

We stayed for 2 nights. Location was right in the centre and within easy distance of all the attractions. The place itself was clean and exactly as described. There were a few things that could be improved for future guests (tumble drier doesn’t work and the airer isn’t functional) which the host has been notified and I’m sure will rectify. It’s our second time staying with Host & Stay (different locations) and we have been pleased with both stays. Would recommend

Number 2 The Mount is a great property - it was extremely clean and well equipped, furnished and maintained. It was exactly as described in the listing and was very comfortable to stay in. The location was great - easy access to the all the main areas of Whitby but not too noisy. The information provided about the property was very helpful and gave lots of suggestions for places to try - we tried a couple of them and they were worth a visit. The communication from the host was very good and they were very helpful. Would definitely use the property again when we visit the area.

The location of this property was perfect, short walk from everything in Whitby but not in the hustle and bustle of it all. Parking was actually very easy. We had one parking space with the property (we had two vehicles between us) so one of us used that space but there are so many car parks in Whitby, 2 of which are literally not even a minutes walk from the house, my friends used one of those and paid I believe £39 for 5 days. We all had a blast, even our two dogs and if we decide to stay in Whitby again we’ll definitely be booking here again. Honestly I didn’t hate anything about this property.

The property itself overall was as described however on arrival our parking space was taken by another party and I couldn’t contact the host as they use a call centre who can’t do anything to help. This set the tone for the rest of the stay. We then found mould spots on the bed sheet in the single room and had to pay to park after no help from the host. I was then offered a refund for parking costs and have never received any follow up after stating they would resolve the issue. Such a shame as this has so much potential to work better if they have a local host who can deal with the issues at hand.

Location was fantastic, keys easy to obtain, nice clean, good views Was asked if I would like a early check in or later check out then when I requested this was told it was unavailable, why ask then?

First of all, the place is great. It accommodated 5 of us easily with good location (albeit at the top of a hill). The property is split on three levels with the dining/living area on the top. You enter on the middle floor (bedrooms) and the ensuite is on the lower floor. Well equipped kitchen and a nice large fridge/freezer. Jam on the caked would have been to have A/C or a fan as we were so lucky to have hot weather and the living area (even with windows open) was hot. But nice weather!! so nothing really to complain about. My big issue is that the 'family run' host and stay is the opposite of that. When using the airbnb app, the responses were from a chat bot. It's not airbnb! When i asked for check in instructions, the chat bot said they would follow a few days before arrival and i was asking this the day before! When i said i was arriving tomorrow it then replied it was looking forward to our arrival. A call to the friendly Philippine call center quickly fixed things though.

The accommodation is modern and comfortable. It is tastefully furnished, light and spacious. It’s also in a great position within walking distance of everything.

Very nicely presented property of a high standard, in an ideal location. A 5 minute walk to cafes and restaurants. Great to have its own parking space , which is safely off the road.

The property was in a great location with easy access to bars restaurants beach and shops, very dog friendly with lovely green open space opposite the property.

No 2 the Mount was a very beautiful and comfortable house. The house was clean and decorated to a high standard. We enjoyed a lovely few days there and would highly recommend.

Hi a lovely 3 days. Everything clean and tidy and ready to go. Would have liked a runner in the hall the wooden floor freaked the dog out. ?

This accommodation is pristine. The parking is convenient. It's a great location for exploring Whitby and the surrounding areas.

Fantastic location and accommodation, we would definitely stay again. Only slight draw back was a narrow entrance to the front door when using a pram, but we managed and the accommodation had everything we needed!

Great location. Nicely furnished property and comfortable beds. Clean light and bright. We felt that for 6 people the amount of crockery and cutlery was too small. Only 8 plates/bowls etc so when cooking continually having to wash up etc. Not enough large serving dishes and no serving spoons. There was a drainage smell in the main bathroom.

Extremely nice property. Only downside was the required insurance or deposit with 10 pound “fee“.

We had a fantastic stay at 2 The Mount & the property was beautiful & as described a luxury experience. Absolutely loved the wooden beams in the living space. Superb location, everything within walking distance. We initially struggled to find the carparking spot from the Google maps link which takes you via Cliff St & some very narrow, awkward roads. Whereas it would have been easier & more direct if it sent you via Khyber pass and East Crescent & via Upgang Lane & Crescent Avenue.

Amazing location, with parking. Plenty of everything available that was needed, in every room. Fab facilities and close to everything. Amazing quality and beautifully clean.

High spec and done to a high standard. Spacious. Good heating controls. French doors that open in the living room, can hear the sea. Good range of kitchen equipment and utensils. Perfect location right near the Royal Hotel. 3 toilets. It seems the world has moved to memory foam mattresses, but we find them too firm and would prefer pocket sprung mattresses.

My son stopped in the property and couldn’t believe how nice it was.

We had such a great time. Perfect location with lots to do. The place was clean and tidy and lots of space. If we only had one issue I'd say there just wasn't enough toilet roll ?. Between 6 people for 2 nights there was only 4 rolls between us. Other than that it's perfect. Thankyou

Quiet location within easy reach of town centre. It is a beautiful old school house converted into 3 or 4 properties that appear to be recently modernised and has its own dedicated parking space. Our en suite was a bit cramped and we struggled to fit the towels on the radiator. The shower cubicle has no shelf to hold shampoo etc. Our friend's had a little trouble releasing the plug in their hand basin. The coat hanger as you enter the front door does not do the property justice. Unlike everything else in the property, it is cheap and nasty and needs replacing with something that reflects the high quality of the rest of the house.

Excellent stay! Beautiful home, great location, fantastic level of information and bonus car parking space. Highly recommend!

A beautiful cottage to stay in located on Khyber Pass so within the heart of Whitby. Great facilities within the property and spotless. Communication by Host & Stay was excellent, no problems at all. Our 2nd stay in Whitby now with Host & Stay, both properties great and no issues at either stay.

Lovely place done up to a very high standard. An ideal place. I went with 3 kids and they were all super happy. The bedroom in the basement was ideal too with an en suite and it was very cosy. Pleasant stay all round. And good coming with a car parking space.

The location was ideal. Spotlessly clean . Decor and facilities were excellent. Lots of little finishing touches made the stay really comfortable ie. Tea, coffee, sugar, milk, shower gel, soap on arrival made it easier until we could get to a shop. A parking space was provided. Good value for money. Nothing

Amazing accommodation, photos don’t do this property justice. Huge lounge, blue sky through the dormer windows makes it lovely and airy, lovely bedrooms. Bit noisy from walkers up cliff street as bedrooms are on ground floor. Everything is newly fitted and installed. Having the forthcoming connection to the dedicated EV parking spot will really add further to this properties appeal. Would definitely be staying again.

Excellent accommodation, finished to a high standard but...... Terrestrial TV not working (no signal) No privacy on first floor (no blinds) No Internet connection as the instructions did not arrive until after we left.
