The Space
If you’re looking for a luxury stay on the North Yorkshire coast, look no further than Prospect Hill Apartments. Upon entering The Madison, you’ll be welcomed into a bright and spacious open plan kitchen, living and dining area.

With crisp white walls and herringbone wood flooring, there is a light and airy feel. The kitchen features white, high shine cabinets and light grey worktops to create a seriously modern look. Fully equipped for all self-catering stays, The Madison provides an oven, hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge as well cookware and cutlery. There is also the added luxury of a coffee machine so you can start each day of your stay with a delicious coffee.

The dining area includes a round, grey dining table with black, metal legs to add an industrial look to the otherwise luxe space. Four metal dining chairs in gold complement the whole aesthetic perfectly. Beautifully accessorised, there is a vase of faux flowers and a wall of mirrors behind to complete the space.

If you’re looking for somewhere to relax after a day of exploring Whitby, the living area is the ideal place to unwind. Lay back on the three-seater, velvet sofa and turn on the flat screen TV to watch your favourite shows. You’ll have access to Netflix during your stay too so you can cosy up with your loved ones with films and shows on tap. There is also a second love seat so there is ample seating for your whole party.

Head up the steps and you’ll arrive at the master bedroom directly in front of you. The luxury King size bed features a suede, headboard with metal stud detailing and premium linens. Decorated to the highest standard, there are matching gold floor lamps at either side of the bed to go with gold bedside tables. There is a statement sunburst style mirror on the wall and a dressing table area featuring a grey chair and large round mirror.

Glass double doors open out onto a private patio area complete with decking and outdoor furniture. Surrounded by lush greenery, this is the perfect spot to relax. Whether it’s on a morning with a coffee or on an evening with a glass of bubbly, this is an added luxury in Whitby!

The second bedroom has the same striking look as the rest of the apartment. The small double bed has crisp white linens and grey soft furnishings. Marble style bedside tables have matching table lamps and there are faux plants for decoration. To complete the space, there is a large silver mirror and abstract wall prints.

The bathroom boasts a modern look with neutral coloured walls and large grey tiles. With chrome finishing and accessories, it is sleek and stylish. The space is complete with a large walk in shower, WC and basin.

For this reason, we require all our guests to transfer a Damage Deposit (refundable, subject to an administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.

Neighborhood
The centre of Whitby, and Whitby Harbour are just a short walk away from The Madison, so it’s ideal if you want to experience what life is like living by the sea.

The area is famous for the quality of its fish and chip restaurants, and there are plenty of places where you can sink your teeth into a fresh catch. When you fancy a drink, you’ll find a variety of bars as well as pubs and shops in the local area.

Whitby is also famous for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’. You’ll find plenty of sites near the apartment with historic interest relating to the story. The main inspiration can be found at the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey.

Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. In particular, Dalby Forest and Guisborough Forest, just a short drive away and they both have various beautiful walking and cycling routes to explore.

Getting Around
There is free driveway parking at the front of the apartment, but you don’t need to have a car to enjoy staying here as it’s such a short walk to the town centre, Whitby harbour and to the train station. Villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station.

There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.

The apartment is located on the ground floor but there are steps inside from the living area to the bedrooms and bathroom.
