Both Yarm Green Lane and Eaglescliffe train stations are within walking distance of the property and both routes have great links to surrounding towns. Darlington is only a 20-minute journey from Eaglescliffe and has great access links to Newcastle, Leeds, York, London and Edinburgh.

Absolutely nothing! The whole experience was awful. Firstly the lock box code was never sent so at 3.45pm I had to contact them to get it and that took ages. Then when we arrived at the property it had not been cleaned from the previous guests. Wet dirty towels were on the floor in the bathroom with no clean new ones for us and the bed was a mess, dirty and clearly hadnt been changed from the previous guests. There were coffee marks on the bed side table and in the kitchen washing machine we found someone else's boxer pants, socks and T-Shirt. We contacted Host and Stay straight away to be told by a very rude and uncaring man it wasn't his problem and there was nothing they could do. When we said so you expect us to sleep in a bed complete strangers have slept in the night before and use used towels he again said its not my problem. He was completely unhelpful with next to zero customer service. We rang back and then spoke to a lady who did try and help us. She said she would contact the owner to see if they could come and clean the property, at this point it was 8pm so we agreed we would go out into the town to get some food to allow that to happen. Whilst we were out we received a phone call from the original rude man who said they could not come out to clean that night and the earliest would be the next day. Again we asked him where he expected us to sleep tonight and he again said its not his problem and theres nothing he could do. So we told him we would book somewhere else and requested a full refund. Later that night we then received a phone call to say they could get someone out to clean it but at that point it was late and we had already booked somewhere else and had no faith in Host and Stay what so ever. They are now refusing to refund us and the whole thing has been a nightmare. DO NOT STAY IN A HOST & STAY PROPERTY!
