Everything. Leaving milk in the fridge was a lovely idea! :-) location was amazing, decor and cleanliness was excellent. The host was very informative. Will definitely stay again soon! :-)
I still had a great sleep but if there was anything I'd improve (being picky) it would be to get a more sturdy bed frame (stayed in the bedroom furthest from the living room).

There was nothing not to like. We stayed for 3 nights and on the second night the heating wouldn’t work. Within 30 minutes an engineer arrived and sorted it. So impressed!

The alley way to apartment and the door and its handle was covered in seagull poo. The stair carpet in the entrance was covered in dirt and bird feathers from the alleyway.
The window in our back bedroom didn't stop the breeze blowing through. We were not sure if its double glazed because of the noise from near-by pubs and seagulls

Location was excellent, free parking and very central with everything in Walking distance. Apartment was clean and really well stocked. Washing up liquid, tea towels, cloths etc which is really important for a short stay where you don’t want to have to buy loads of things. They even put a pint of milk in the fridge and ther was tea/coffee/sugar.
Beds were quite squeaky! Central location means you can hear people coming home from the pub in the evening but that’s a small thing and not an issue if you’re out enjoying the evening as well.

location superb, it was spotlessly clean, very warm and welcoming and also quiet.
it’s a minor gripe but TV could do with being on a swivel arm so you can watch easily from the living area.

Good location, good size and quite new
The property wasn't clean when we arrived. So I had to spend the first evening cleaning (cleaner didn't come to rectify until the following day which was too late as I already lost time cleaning myself). The carpets have seen better days and are due a proper cleaning.
Even though they charge a cleaning fee of £60 per stay, you are required to 'Please wipe down all hard surfaces with the antibacterial products
provided'. As a result, the cleaning standard depends on how thorough has been the previous guest when they checked out.
I wouldn't recommend for a short stay as you will have to clean on the first day...
In addition, the add was misleading because even though you are provided with scratch card for parking. These are in the W zone which isn't that close and parking is very limited. Loading the car with two kids was a challenge.
If you are planning to eat there, please be aware there are only 3 forks

Location excellent for walking around, exploring Whitby. selection of restaurants within 5-10 mins walk.

Heating - Flat at 10degreesC when we arrived at 3.30. No instructions for controlling the boiler (whole booklet about installing and maintenance) Flat only reached 16 degrees by end of first evening. O.K. after that.
WIFI- Went off sometime on Saturday while we were out. Reported it first thing Sunday morning. Told we SHARED it with Apart 2. Still not solved by 3.00p.m. Sun p.m. Reported lack of wifi again and it came on later. Then tried to watch Netflix around 9.00.p.m. that evening to be told by Netflix Wifi overloaded (obviously by second apartment) so no use unless we paid. VERY DISAPPOINTING.
Street Parking - Not told we would be parking some way from the apartment - ten minutes walk. Spent some time trying to find a space. Also because we were staying 3 nights and our 'voucher' only lasted for 2 we had to ring up again and ask for a second voucher for the third night. In February it was easy to park just for an hour close to the flat to unload. During summer season I think it would have been difficult . Parking arrangements were understandable because of the nature of Whitby's situation but I do think future clients need to be warned.

No heating! Temp set at 15 degrees. To low for January cold on an evening

Great location, comfortable and very clean, credit to the housekeeping.
Finding somewhere to park, but understand its difficult as it's nice in Whitby with tourists. Price as gone up nearly £200 for next year!! Cannot understand why?

Was not made clear that you could not park outside the property - we got a ticket and then struggled to find a parking space on Saturday.
The noise of the boiler in the second bedroom was annoying.
TV could do to be on a swing-out hinge to face the seating.

Excellent location making it easy to move around Whitby. The apartment was clean and very nicely set out. Good sized bedrooms and a fab shower! Just a few doors away from Sherlock’s coffee shop who do excellent breakfast. It’s difficult to park near the apartment but we just parked on the big Long Stay car park on the harbour which was 5 mins walk. So no problem at all. Highly recommend this property.

The apartment itself was beautiful, very comfortable and the beds were brilliant and comfy. Home from home.
Bedroom door has clear glass, could do with frosted, as people can see u changing even with door closed, the entrance up to the apartment needs to be cleaned, and has a foisty smell.

Smack bang in the centre of town. Great facilities. Kitted out kitchen. Loads of pubs, bakeries, grocers, shops within spitting distance of the property.
Having to park the car so far away from the property and the noisy seagulls - neither of which is any fault of the property.
Other than that, there was nothing wrong with the place.

Perfect location and stunning apartment! Would highly recommend and will be coming back soon!

Central location, convenient for shops, restaurants, the beach and promenade.
Straightforward checkin and good communication from the hosts.
1. Parking in Whitby in peak season is problematic. Not much the hosts can do about this. The provided visitor parking permits were some help but finding a space was difficult and we had to use public car parks which were some distance away. In the end we got a free parking disc from Tourist Information which made things easier. Perhaps the hosts could provide one of these for future guests.
2. As you'd expect in central Whitby there is some noise at night from the street and also the passageway leading to the apartments. If you have young children who are light sleepers this might be an issue for you.
3. The arrangements for rubbish disposal weren't very clear. Would be helpful to know where to dispose of bin bags for guests staying for longer periods.

The apartment was spotlessly clean, a good size and well equipped.
On arrival we immediately noticed that the bathroom sink plug did not operate due to being jammed. We contacted Stay NY and reported the issue. They said they would send an engineer but one did not arrive and there was no further contact from Stay NY. We therefore had no bathroom sink facility for the duration of our stay. I suggest we have a 10% reduction in cost for this inconvenience. I would not have requested a 10% reduction if Stay NY had had the courtesy to contact us.

Location great but noisy from floors above, people coming and going dragging cases etc down stairs, furniture and decor lovely.
The cleaning staff need sacking, only areas you could see get a wipe and others are ignored, cupboard tops and above eye level surfaces etc etc, we found food in a bowl in the cupboard and dust and grime everywhere and the toilet seat hanging off.
The back bedroom is impossible to get a good nights sleep with the constant boiler noise and the light in the alleyway "Hudsons Yard" lighting the bedroom up as there are no curtains, just slatted blinds.
We were asked to clean before we left (isn't that what WE pay the cleaners for?" and put rubbish in bins outside, THERE ARE NO BINS OUTSIDE.
The agent representing the vendor are useless they blatantly ignored 5 email request to call us back after we had problems, when we arrived the rear bedroom window was hanging off its fixings, it got sorted but overall the agents were pretty poor.

Everything is first class, location is spot on, comfortable and warm decorated to a high standard and spotlessly clean, very helpful and a shinning example of how it should be done, woukd recommended to anyone and will definitely be booking again, a real gem...
Parking is difficult but that's really the worst I could think of as you have to remember it's an old seaside town, but parking passes are supplied by the property but getting a space in that zone is difficult, however the apparent doesn't dissapoint and will be back to nook again simply fantastic

The apartment is beautiful and really well appointed, everything you need. Very clean and the beds we’re comfortable, however the apartment was very noisey. The foot traffic and night life was very loud from the bedrooms, the apartment above is also quite loud. 1st night lots of noisy drunk girls and second night a couple doing the nasty til the wee hours. Nothing the host can obviously do about the noise but perhaps we might not of booked if we had known. All in all the apartment is gorgeous and the location is top, of your looking for a restful sleep then maybe not the place.

The Apartment was very clean and modern, we were very impressed with how spacious it was and well stocked with everything we needed! It was also only a 3 minute walk to the drawbridge and our favourite caffe was only 3 doors down. The staff were very good at answering any questions we had.
There is no on site parking even though it states there is. They give you a pass to park on the streets but there is no space. The apartment was quite noisy, we had the windows shut but could still hear everything like seagulls screaming and the people in the apartments above.

Wow! Just returned from a wonderful 3 night stay in this place. The apartment is beautiful, spotless, and stylish. We instantly felt relaxed and at home. It has a really well equipped kitchen with everything we needed, the dishwasher was a bonus, and the Nespresso machine a treat. The bathroom was spotless and has a really powerful shower. And the bedrooms; stylish and so so comfortable we didn’t want to get out of bed. Checkout was really easy, we followed a few requests for Covid safety, and the parking vouchers were easy to use and we had a space really close to the flat. We really enjoyed staying here and I would highly recommend.

Parking is a problem but no different than anywhere in Whitby. Be prepared for it even though you get a permit. It didn't spoil our trip.
