Great location, quiet area close to local attractions. Comfortable and stylish apartment
Absolutely wonderful ?
Nice clean modern well appointed property, with parking on site. Well equipped kitchen, one bedroom en suite with small balcony. Other bedroom across from bathroom. Bonus of a cloakroom toilet downstairs. Also Pet friendly.
Second bedroom had blinds but no curtains. Curtains would have been nice to block out more light. Living room had sofa and one chair, additional soft seating would have been beneficial.
Lovely flat, very comfortable and short walk in to town
This apartment is of good quality in a nice location. Our stay of 4 days was totally ruined by the fact that we had no hot water or central heating for the entire stay. Freezing cold showers and cold rooms are no fun for 4 70 year olds on what was meant to be an important holiday. What really annoyed us however was the fact that when we examined the feedback on the Host and Stay website we found that the boiler had failed twice in the last 5 weeks before our stay leaving the tenants in the cold as we were. There is clearly a fundamental fault with the boiler and the company had no right to let it to us when they knew perfectly well that there had been serious issues before. They sent their maintenance man then the next day a plumber - both said there was nothing they could do as a specialist from the manufacturer would be required. We spent time on two of the four days of our stay trying to find alternative accommodation but there was simply noting available which had two bedrooms and was dog-friendly.The company refunded our rental but flatly refused to offer some compensation for a ruined holiday and time wasted trying to sort out their problem, Pretty shabby behaviour in our opinion.
The location of the apartment was good and the general equipment was fine
We had no hot water and no central heating for the entire duration of our stay. The host refunded our rental cost but refused to offer any compensation for the great discomfort we experienced. On close examination of the Host Yorkshire website we discovered that the boiler had failed twice in the previous few weeks - there is no way they should have rented out this property when there is clearly a major problem with the boiler. Freezing cold water and no heating is no joke in late-October
great location with everything you could need. comfortable bed and very good en-suite. kitchen was good size with full oven, hob and microwave.
we were just looking for a nice comfortable place to stay with our dogs for a short last minute break and this was ideal.
The boiler wasn’t working when we arrived so no hot water or heating until early evening. we were told a boiler man was coming to the property that evening but not informed of the issues , had we known we would have stayed out longer. The patio yard could benefit from a bolt for additional security.
Property was clean and tidy though had to wash all the crockery and utensils before use as these hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly or checked.
The property was very spacious, clean and quiet.
Perfect place to stay while visiting Whitby and on-site parking was fantastic with plenty of room for 2 large cars. We would definitely return to welton view.
Could of done with more seating as there was 4 of us, however we were able to bring one of the chairs down from the bedroom which did help and did not affect our stay.
I little more storage in the bedrooms would have made it more comfortable, (drawers or wardrobe with drawers)
Location was great with parking space. Good furnishings with a nice finish.
Clean and comfortable property in a very good location.
We weren't expecting an additional toilet downstairs which was an added bonus.
Milk in fridge on arrival was a nice touch.
Would have liked a bit of local information - nearest shop, bus etc but nothing we didn't actually like.
Area and location was ideal and parking
No heating or hot water for 3 days
Fabulous stay, very clean, great location, a home from home most definitely.
Not great sign posted, but staff very helpful and we got into property
Apart from above very comfortable and clean. Good position and parking.
No cleaning cloths or scourer, no oven gloves, no fish slice. Disgusting mouldy wooden chopping boards put away wet and gone mouldy, which no one had noticed
Amazing, spacious accommodation that had everything we needed for a fantastic few days in Whitby.
The location was great. Clean and well set out property. Comfortable beds. Good facilities in the kitchen (apart from things mentioned below)
Not really enough seating for 4 people in living area. No storage (drawers or shelves) in smaller bedroom. No hanging hooks for towels or shelves for toiletries. No freezer or ice box in the fridge! as we were only staying for the weekend these things didn't affect us too much, but would certainly be a problem for a longer stay.
Modern, clean, nicely furnished, spacious
Sofa broken on arrival which was fixed the same day, however when we reported this they knew about but hadn’t done anything, where they expecting 4 adults to manage with 1 comfortable seat? On the last day we awoke to no hot water, reported it, alas this could not be fixed for us as we had to leave by 1000 hrs. Brr is I can say.
Good parking and access
Sofa was broken
Bed slats had come off under the mattress
No towel hooks in bathrooms
Really good location for the beach and town.
The bed in one of the rooms was too low for me
Liked the location, the style of the interior and the comfort. There was enough white goods, utensils, crockery etc.
The beds were extremely comfortable and having two bathrooms was a bonus.
There was no towel rail or hooks to hang damp towels, another sofa would have been appreciated also blackout curtains would have been good.
The sofa was very wobbly because the legs were buckled and the Nespresso coffee machine leaked. The outdoor furniture hadn't been cleaned but we soon wiped it down.
Other than the above mentioned, everything else was great.
The location is fabulous, the beds are super comfy. I also loved the little balcony perfect for a morning coffee, or evening glass of wine ?also there was an issue with the boiler, one phone call, someone with us within 20 mins, fixed, great service ??
Nit picking because I can’t fault it, maybe a freezer, we could have ice cubes, but that’s as bad as it gets, first world problems.
Location was great, quiet area but only 10 mins walk into Whitby harbour. Great to have own parking space. Excellent standard of accommodation, very comfortable and had everything we needed.
Simple lockbox at the rear of the proprerty
Sofa is not very comfortable
Great location with parking, super clean, modern, comfy beds, loads of space, been before and always great.
Maybe an extra sofa, or chair, bit cramped for 4 to seat.
Good location for beach and easy acces into Whitby
Need foot pedal bin in kitchen and little freezer compartment in fridge
Clean well equipped apartment! Very comfortable
Loved it !
Hopefully cleanliness will be better than it was for my booking , given that they ask guest to clean up and wipe down all services ( covid reasons) I doubt that a though clean is being done and suspect they are relying on guest to clean before they leave.
Decor , comfort
Beautiful, modern , well equipped house.
Very helpful hosts. Great location and very clean.
I could recommend this property to anyone wishing to explore the area. The place is immaculate with an abundance of lovely touches . Home from home .Tea coffee and milk provided on arrival .. the communication with Stay was excellent. Whitby is a gorgeous and interesting place. We will certainly return .
It's right by west cliff, lovely views, the heater is lovely and the TV was incredible
Very nice holiday place with easy walk to area attractions (view of beach/sea and Whitby Pavilion).
We stayed here for a weekend with friends. The property is in a perfect location and is a 10 min walk to the front. The place is very clean and looks beautiful. It had everything we needed for a weekend away and we enjoyed staying in on the evenings as it was such a nice stay.
The beds are small doubles so we didn’t have the most amazing sleep but that didn’t spoil our stay!!
Clean, bright and well equipped. Really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
Spotless. Very stylish decor. All the home comforts we could have asked for.
Excellent WiFIi. Comfortable beds, good quality towels. Great location. Would return to Welton View and recommend.
Very clean, quiet, comfortable place to stay. Convenient location, good parking. Didn’t want to leave!
Only things missing were a corkscrew and hooks for towels in bathrooms, plus a shelf for toiletries in en-suite.
Would definitely stay here again.
The location was very good, the property was newly refurbished to a high standard good furnishings.
Only a very small points and did not impact on our enjoyment of the premises. - No freezer, or even frozen compartment in the fridge. No coat hooks/provision for hanging wet coats.
Really modern and stylish place to stay! Located conveniently near the sea front and a short 10-15 min walk to the centre of Whitby. All cleaning products, kitchen equipment, bedding, towels, toiletries etc provided which was great. Really good fast communication with the host.
Absolutely perfect location, facilities and ease of staying. Would absolutely come back again.
This property is really lovely, spacious and clean. The beds and the bedding, very comfortable and clean. Because it is a house we took our own stuff, coffee, teabags, sugar, wash up liquid and the like, and all these things are provided, maybe this should be mentioned. This property was the only one left on the site when we looked to book, I think it is because it is so expensive. £500 for two nights is a bit much. We enjoyed our stay in Whitby though.
The property doesn't have a bathtub but it does benefit from a walk in shower.
