Location is great for Whitby, you can walk everywhere and you are in the hustle and bustle within a few seconds, despite feeling seperated from the main road when you are in the property.
Quality of the rooms, and the thoughtfulness which has gone into the preparation/renovation of the property in general is exceptional, design is perfect, with technology complementing the property, with digital displays for heating room by room. The Aga is amazing, but if this is off when you arrive you must leave it 8+ hours to heat up properly (they advise on temperature controls but really you need this at 5+ for decent cooking/heating, especially in winter.)
Cleanliness was perfect, and everything had been sorted and looked after incredibly well before our arrival.

Parking is very difficult. You have to find a space close-ish and pay for 24hrs parking if you are staying in Whitby. This is also a challenge when you are looking to transfer any baggage from your vehicle to the property, as you cannot stop easily nearby.
We made do however, and it's certainly not impossible to have a car and also have a great holiday. But the lack of parking is a factor which should be considered.
One final thing is that the shower head is very low in the bathroom, this is unavoidable due to the size of the property and also the height of the ceilings... but if you are tall, then this will be a problem!

Perfect accommodation for 2 people as a base. Spotlessly clean and great location. The kitchen is the only living space really as 3rd floor very steep & narrow stairs. Beautifully renovated.

We had a lovely stay at Cow House, it was very comfortable and there were plenty of places to eat, drink and shop within walking distance. We did end up having to park around a 5 minute walk away but otherwise were very pleased with the house - it was a clean, well-equipped and central base to explore Whitby from. A walk along the coast near Robin Hood Bay, the Magpie for fish and chips and Madmoiselles for dinner were particular highlights!

Perfect central location and all the details were on point. The Cow House is full of classy touches, real attention to detail. We loved our Whitby break!

Lovely house, great location. Interior design is amazing

Nice stay. The parking was a nightmare we had a ten min walk with all our bags. All in all nice but a little stressful. The house was dark also not enough windows

This little house is so cute and perfect for exploring Whitby as a couple. Really comfortable. Thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing central break.

Everything, fantastic property, very unique with its style and location, had everything you could want including a lovely bedroom and bathroom and even had an Alexa which was handy.

Really enjoyed it, no issues at all.

We found the cow house to be in the perfect location for Whitby and amenities close by, has a very rustic cottage feel and was very cosy, clean and welcoming. We parked in endeavour wharf long stay as church street was full, cost about £9 every 24hours, 10 minutes or so walk. Hosts were very quick to reply and send messages checking in before and after our stay, so we knew where to go and what to expect which made it a very easy to locate and get settled. Would love to stay here again for longer as we only had two nights, definitely not enough!

Fantastic stay and the location was great. 2 minute walk from 199 steps

We had a great couple of nights in the Cow house over the bank holiday weekend. Beautiful property that is in a great location (right in the centre just down the road from the 199 steps) despite this it was still nice and quiet when relaxing in the morning: evening.
Very comfy bed, clean throughout and equipped with everything we needed. Would recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Whitby.

Beautiful, cosy house in a fantastic location. Has all the amenities you need including an amazing bathtub and incredibly comfortable bed. Great communication from the host. I had a great stay.

We had such a lovely experience at The Cow House. A beautiful renovated haven off the cobbled streets , it was a joy to stay in.
Communication was clear and professional at all times .Every detail had been considered to ensure guests have every comfort and convenience catered for. Stylish , luxurious interior design with beautiful renovation details throughout makes it a perfect hideaway to come to and experience Whitby. The Cow House felt lovingly created and I would love to come again!

Luxurious, lovely and perfectly located.

Fantastic place, good location and it has a very cosy feeling to the place

Gorgeous cottage! Very clean and perfect for a weekend getaway for a couple. Right in the middle on Whitby so easy to get too. Had everything you need and would definitely recommend!

We loved our stay here, the location is amazing and the place is steeped in history. Super cosy and a perfect place to explore Whitby and the surrounding areas. Felt like a little bit of luxury for a few nights away

Would highly recommend this stylish accommodation and fantastic location

Beautiful little property with everything and more that you could need when staying away. The location couldn’t be any better, right in the heart of everything but peaceful in the evenings. Hosts were excellent and communicated so well. 100% would return

The Cow House was such a lovely cute place for a one night, post-lockdown getaway. The house is really cosy and warm and couldn’t have been cleaner - everything felt brand new and it was all done to a high standard. The bath was lovely and the little touches of bath products and also milk in the fridge were great. The bed was also really comfy! The kitchen had everything we needed and again, everything was really clean. We had high expectations from the listing before our arrival and we were not disappointed. Definitely recommended for a night or two in Whitby!

Highly reccommend this gorgeous cottage. Super comfortable bed, great location and fantastic for a weekend break.
