Located a short walk from the beach in Saltburn-by-the-Sea, this charming holiday home sleeps up to 10 guests across 5 bedrooms. You’ll have access to the full house during your stay including a homely living room, cosy dining room, open plan kitchen diner, two bathrooms and an enclosed yard.
Property Details
The Space
With high ceilings and original wood floors, Emerald Residence has a light and spacious feel. The building is traditional in style but features quirky art prints and furnishings throughout.
On the ground floor, you’ll find a homely living room, dining room and kitchen. Ultra spacious and homely, the living room has comfy sofas and a flat screen TV. Perfect for socialising and enjoying meals together, the dining room has muted pink walls and low lighting to create a cosy feel. Fully equipped for self-catering stays, the kitchen has modern appliances and cookware so you can easily prepare meals during your visit.
Emerald Residence has five bedrooms and a family bathroom. Three king bedrooms are located on the first floor, including the master bedroom which has an ensuite shower room. There is also a family bathroom on this floor with a corner bathtub and overhead shower. Take the stairs up to the second floor and you’ll find the final king room plus a twin.
Outside there is an enclosed backyard with outdoor furniture.
Neighborhood
Emerald Residence is located in the centre of the charming Victorian Spa town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea on the North Yorkshire coast.
Located in the heart of the town, alongside the shops, bars, bistros and restaurants, with just a short walk to the beach and lower promenade. Take the oldest functioning cliff lift in the UK down to the promenade and you’ll arrive at the 208-metre pier which stretches out into the sea. The long sandy shores are overlooked by colourful boutique beach huts and high cliffs tower in the distance.
Saltburn has plenty of beautiful walks too. The Valley Gardens are a maze of paths and tracks which wind through the flowers and woodland. If you want to explore further, The Cleveland Way National Trail is over 100 miles long and Saltburn is included. If you fancy a 17.5 mile jaunt, start at Saltburn and walk your way to Sandsend. This walk is a great way to explore the North Yorkshire coastline and the views are truly beautiful!
Getting Around
Emerald Residence is within walking distance of all that Saltburn has to offer and within 30 minutes’ drive time of Staithes, Whitby, Middlesbrough and the North Yorkshire Moors.
Saltburn Train Station is a short walk away and has routes to Longbeck, Redcar, Middlesbrough and Darlington with connecting trains to Newcastle, York, Leeds, Manchester and London.
There are plenty of bus routes throughout Saltburn. Hop on the Arriva North East route and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Staithes, Runswick Bay and Whitby. The Moorsbus route has drop offs at Newton Under Roseberry, Great Ayton, Stokesley and Helmsley.

Great spot for a family gathering or friend getaway. Loads of space along with generous space for a group. Amenities close while still maintaining the off the beaten path feel. It was just perfect!

Clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The location is the main plus point - just fantastic.
Really don’t want to put anything negative because we had a great time. Only things that could have improved would have been a downstairs toilet and a microwave. Otherwise perfect.

Listing as described. A large property with views of the ocean from upstairs. Easily accommodated our party. Much and more grand than the pictures represent
Very good communication with easy and simple check-in.
Good recommendations on places to eat and drink (The Gun’s Bar, Alexandra Vaults, No23, The Ship Inn and Signals were a few we tried). We would definitely recommend for a long weekend away!

Such a great spacious and well equipped house in a brilliant location. The beach is at one end of the street with access to the bars and restaurants at the other.

Lovely location, close to the beach. The house was a little noisy as floorboards throughout, but everything else was very well done. The host kindly left a wonderful welcome basket and the rooms were all very clean and tidy. There was a really good selection of toys for the children. A very good holiday for all of the family.

Lovely spacious property in a brilliant location. There are some nice bars and restaurants near by and it’s great being so close to the sea. The property was very clean and was presented to a high standard. We were originally doubtful about the on street parking but this wasn’t an issue and all of us had a great time!

Brilliant stay in Saltburn. The house was perfect for our holiday, right by the coast, only a short walk from the steps to the beach and the arcades, surf shops and fish and chips. The property had everything in that was needed and was perfect for the kids. Thanks so much!

We had a brilliant family get together at this house over new year. There were 8 adults and 2 children & there was plenty of room for everyone. The house is lovely, clean, well equipped and a really short walk to the beach as well as the shops, supermarket, bars and restaurants of Saltburn. We all said we would visit again - would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful family gathering at this property. The photos don't do the property justice and the location was perfect for a nice quiet family gathering by the sea. Plenty of space for 9 of us and all the equipment, furniture and space to have a great family Christmas together.

Fantastic house in a fantastic location within walking distance to the beach, pubs and local facilities. Saltburn itself had a lovely feel with independent shops and bars. The house has all the facilities you could wish for and was the perfect stay for friends, children and our dog. On arrival the check-in process was very simple, the house was clean and plenty of space for our group of 9. Would thoroughly recommend

Thank you for a lovely stay. The house is beautifully curated but cosy. We were a family of 7 adults and 2 young children and there was plenty of space for us all to relax and sit together. The little ones loved discovering the drawer of toys and games.
The sea is so close you can just about to see it from the bay windows. The beach is just a few minutes walk away and is lovely and clean and clear. Saltburn town is small but full of independent shops and friendly people, we loved wandering. We would definitely recommend.

The house is lovely, managing to feel both spacious and cosy. We were a couple with a pooch but the house would comfortably accomodate several more. It's decorated to a high standard and is dog friendly. The welcome basket greeting us on arrival was a particularly nice touch. The location is perfect, being right by the beach and next to local amenities. We would happily return on our next trip to Saltburn.

The house was beautiful. Each room was wonderfully decorated. Would definitely recommend.
Just a note as there was only 2 loo roll for 10 people for 4 days so we had to buy our own. Same with shampoo, body wash, kitchen role and wash cloths.

Beautiful house in a beautiful location with fabulous hosts. I was slightly worried from the pictures that the house would not be child friendly but I was wrong, so many toys available and everything you could need for a family stay.

We've just returned from a wonderful stay at this property. It's a beautiful house finished to the highest standard: tasteful, comfortable and stylish throughout The hosts were wonderful, leaving us generous welcome gifts when we arrived. Saltburn itself has a lovely beach, just a few minutes walk away from the house, and there are lots of things to do for adults and children alike. We would wholeheartedly recommend making this property in Saltburn your next UK holiday destination.

If you are into surfing, rock pooling, messing about at the seaside there cant be many places better placed than this. Literally a stones throw from Saltburns cliff railway (it wasnt working when we were there but it didn't matter as the kids didn't mind the walk to the beach below).
Property has most of the things you need and for those that it doesn't have then you can find them in Saltburn. Sainsburys is about 150 yds away.
There were 4 adults and 4 children in our party and it was brill!

Great host. Communication was quick and helpful.
Great house with loads of space for 2 families. Clean and well stocked. What a great location! Only a couple of minutes walk to the beach and a few minutes in the opposite direction to shops, cafes and restaurants. Saltburn by the sea is a little hidden gem. I would definitely recommend this place.
