The cottage was amazing. Large 5 bedroom cottage with amazing huge garden and summerhouse. On arriving on Friday was welcomed by the local Peacock in the garden ( unexpected Bonus). All rooms are nice and comfortable with period old furniture. The kitchen is well specified with all the crockery and utensils you could ever need. The garden was amazing, lovely mature flowers, trees and shrubs with a summerhouse in the bottom corner. Lots of wooden furniture in the garden There is loads of space for parking cars, we had 3 but you could probably fit 5 at a push. The location is superb in a very quiet area and only 10 mins from the beach and just a few mins from local pub. We did find that the downstairs bedroom felt a little chilly and felt damp but there was an electric heater and humidifier in the room that sorted this issue. Also one of the upstairs bedrooms had a water tank that could create some noise when a tap was run. Lots of wooden furniture in garden although the furniture ( plus sheds and summerhouse) could do with a coat of wood treatment. All the above just really minor points and must be expected to be issues of a cottage of this age. Only real complaint was the constant stream of emails from the management company ( Host & Stay ). giving me the upsell treatment or reminding he of my responsibilities (re check out time and damage ). They need to learn less is more.

This is a great house. Spacious accommodation for a family or friends get together, and garden especially lovely. Our third stay here. Plenty of easy parking at the door. The House is well equipped for visitors. Stove easy to light on an evening. Plenty of lovely sofas to relax. Clean and hot showers, good towels. Comfortable beds. Walkable to local pubs which are all friendly and cosy. Easy to drive to Seahouses, Bamburgh, Alnmouth. Walked from Craster back to Newton. Walked to Beadnell from the house. Lovely little circular walk to the sea each morning/ evening, good for a swim too! We had a great stay. Many thanks.
