Newton Cottage is a charming, stone-built cottage situated in a wonderful setting overlooking the coast at Low Newton-by-the-Sea, on the outskirts of High Newton. The magnificent sandy beach at Low Newton is a short walk away and there are also other beaches nearby for you to enjoy. Newton Cottage provides spacious and comfortable accommodation for up to 12 people with two living rooms, three bathrooms, a beautiful, enclosed garden, and ample private parking making it perfect for family staycations and getaways with friends.
The Space
On the ground floor, you’ll find the living and dining room, which is open plan with oak flooring, a multi fuel stove, plasma screen TV and DVD player, dining table and chairs plus a door leading out to a private patio.
Step outside and you’ll find a large, enclosed lawn garden with patio, garden furniture and Summerhouse with seating.
There are a couple of steps up to the kitchen which consists of a double electric oven, fridge, microwave, dishwasher and docking station. There is also a utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, sink unit, clothes airer and small freezer, plus a shower room with WC and basin.
Next up is a second living room which has a TV, an Inglenook fireplace and charming, exposed ceiling beams.
The first bedroom can be found on the ground floor. With a king-size bed and exposed beams, this is a cosy spot to settle down for the night.
All four remaining bedrooms are located on the first floor at Newton Cottage. Bedroom two has a king-size bed with a separate single bed, sea views and a beamed ceiling. This room leads to bedroom three, which offers the same facilities and views.
Bedroom four has twin single beds, while bedroom five is home to a king-size bed. Like bedrooms two and three, both of these spaces also offer sea views.
Two bathrooms can be found on the first floor. The first bathroom offers a walk-in shower, wash basin and WC, and the second bathroom benefits from a bathtub with overhead shower.
Neighborhood

Getting Around
Public transport options in High Newton-by-the-Sea are limited due to the village’s rural location. However, there are still several ways to get around, whether by bus, car, or bicycle.
High Newton-by-the-Sea is served by local bus routes, but services can be infrequent, especially on weekends and evenings. Buses typically run from the village to the nearby towns and villages, such as Bamburgh, Alnwick, and Embleton.
The nearest railway station to High Newton-by-the-Sea is Alnmouth Railway Station, about nine miles south of the village. Alnmouth Station is on the East Coast Main Line and offers regular services to larger cities such as Newcastle upon Tyne (about 40 minutes away) and Edinburgh (around 1.5 hours). From Alnmouth, you can easily connect to other parts of the region or take a train south toward London.

Private, on-site parking is available for up to five vehicles at Newton Cottage.
A maximum of two well-behaved dogs are welcome to stay at Newton Cottage per reservation.
Please note that there are no stair gates installed at Newton Cottage.
Logs are not provided for the fireplaces at Newton Cottage. Guests will be required to bring their own logs.
