LIVING AREA 82F Galgate has a homely living area. The perfect place to unwind with your loved ones, you can relax on the sofa and chairs, whilst watching Freeview or a DVD on the flat screen TV. KITCHEN AND DINING AREA Fully equipped for self-catering stays, the kitchen has everything you could need to prepare meals easily. Also sharing this space is the dining area which includes a dining table and four chairs. BEDROOM AND BATHROOM Upstairs on the first floor, you’ll find two bedrooms, both with en-suites. Both rooms feature double beds with comfortable mattresses and premium bed linens to ensure you have the best sleep possible. The en-suites have showers, basins, and a WC for your use.
82F Galgate is located in the historic market town of Barnard Castle. Featured within the Guardian’s ‘10 of the UK’s best small towns’, there is something for everyone here. If you love to shop, the town has many antique shops so treasure seekers will be in their element. There are also lots of independent stores which you wouldn’t see on the average high street. Take your pick of restaurants, cafes and pubs which serve lovely home-made food. Barnard Castle is also known for its 12th century castle. The English Heritage property has great views over the Tees Gorge. You can try to spot Richard III’s boar emblem carved above the window in the inner ward or explore the sensory garden.
The closest train station to Barnard Castle is Bishop Auckland which is served by trains to and from Darlington and Middlesbrough. A number of connecting routes can also be found from these stations so getting to other locations around the UK could not be easier. There are a number of bus routes throughout Barnard Castle. Hop on the Arriva X76 or X75 which travels to Darlington.

There is free on site parking outside the property, on a first come basis. Further parking is available on the surrounding street. Please note that the TV does not have access to terrestrial channels, however streaming services are available.

Location excellent. The house well equipped, very clean , easy to use. We were very happy with the place
The location was ideal. Bedrooms were a bit on the small side due to them having the ensuite facilities. We didn't like that items went missing after our stay. We packed in a hurry due to a family emergency. In the rush my elderly father left some items of clothing (all brand new). When I enquired about these items I was told there wasn't anything found. Despite me contacting them straight away and before anyone else including the cleaners had gone in they said nothing was found. I told them exactly where the items had been left but they still say nothing was found. We left at 5.30pm on the Sunday, we were due to leave by 10am Monday morning. I contacted them before 9am Monday but the items were nowhere to be seen. I'm sorry but I don't believe that for a moment but if someone needs to take an elderly man's clothing then I hope they enjoy them. Would never recommend host and stay to anyone based on the lack of trust we have experienced.
