Neighborhood
Beal is a Northumberland village in Northumberland situated a short distance inland from the North Sea coast. The village lies on the link road between the A1 and the Holy Island of Lindisfarne.

Holy Island is a mysterious tidal island that becomes inaccessible when the tide washes over its causeway. When it’s safe to cross the causeway, expect to find charming cafes, an ancient priory, and a castle that teeters on the coastline.

Cobbles, castles, beaches, and boat trips await you in historical Berwick-upon-Tweed. Located on the border of England and Scotland, secrets of a bloody, conflict-filled British history linger in its Elizabethan walls and ruinous castle remains.

Getting Around
The nearest train station to Beal can be found in Berwick-upon-Tweed where you’ll find direct routes to locations all across the UK including Edinburgh, Newcastle, Galashiels, London, Aberdeen and Plymouth, and all places in between.

A few bus routes can be found running through Beal. Hop on the 477 to visit Berwick-upon-Tweed and Holy Island, take a trip on the X15 to take in the sights of Newcastle, Morpeth and Alnwick, or travel on the X18 to enjoy Seahouses.

The nearest airport is Newcastle International, 55 miles away from Beal.

The location is superb for exploring Northumbria and the property is very spacious inside with all the amenities you would need.
Then property just needs a bit of attention to bring it up to a high standard and the cleaning could also be better.
Some of the issues we raised during our stay (broken garden furniture) was sorted very quickly with a brand new replacement arriving within 48 hours.
Overall the property is good value but could be even better with a bit of TLC.

Lovely recently renovated cottage. Spacious rooms and well equipped. Just off the A1 but noise was not an issue. Great location for visiting Lindisfarne.

Cosy space. Would be better if the second double bed could be split for the children but cosy beds and lovely bedding.

The location was ideal, especially for exploring Northumberland and it is a good space. I do feel that there are teething issues. I wasn't happy to receive an email after booking insisting I pay an extra fee for damage protection. This is included in the listing buried towards the end but this didn't detail how much this fee would be. If this is going to be the case then more transparency is needed as the cancellation policy doesn't allow a full refund after booking. The house was clean enough but there were stains on some of the bedding and towels and hair on the pillowcases. I contacted them & they sent someone to change them. Sofas had some stains along with some of the cushions. The listing mentions 'luxury' but this didn't feel like luxury. A bit more investment in the linens and pillows goes a long way. The amenities list has cooking basics like oil, salt and pepper but there was no oil and the salt grinder was old & empty. All in all, small details but they make a difference.

The location of the property was excellent and check in was easy. However the property not to the standard as described, the property lacked general cleanliness and was very tired. Needs some TLC to be a home as advertised. Thank you

We enjoyed our stay - stunning views and incredibly close to Holy Island and a lovely cafe (with sheep!) on the way.
The house is super spacious, with a fully kitted out kitchen and utility room so that we could spend a good 2 weeks there. The house is tucked away and the back yard doesn't have any onlookers so it felt lovely and private.
Definitely a great place to stay if you're a tourist in the area!

Great place and location. wasn't hugely impressed at having to pay an additional insurance fee. it wasn't much, but enough to be annoying.

The house is absolutely beautiful, way bigger than it looks from the outside and decorated perfectly to our taste. Exceptionally clean and had pretty much all facilities we required. This is one of the best located houses you could want. It was within short driving distance of everything we had planned.

The only drawback we had was that the grass had not been cut for some time and was somewhat overgrown. Not ridiculously long, but long enough that because it was wet it was completely unusable for the kids to play on which they were disappointed about.

This place is well located for exploring the area. Beds were very comfortable, kitchen well stocked with appliance and utensils. Lovely clean bathrooms. Good towels and bed linen.

We couldn't find any logs or matches/lighter for the wood burner. So had to go out to the local garage to find these.
