Neighbourhood

Beal is a Northumberland village in Northumberland situated a short distance inland from the North Sea coast. The village lies on the link road between the A1 and the Holy Island of Lindisfarne. Holy Island is a mysterious tidal island that becomes inaccessible when the tide washes over its causeway. When it’s safe to cross the causeway, expect to find charming cafes, an ancient priory, and a castle that teeters on the coastline. Cobbles, castles, beaches, and boat trips await you in historical Berwick-upon-Tweed. Located on the border of England and Scotland, secrets of a bloody, conflict-filled British history linger in its Elizabethan walls and ruinous castle remains.

Getting Around

The nearest train station to Beal can be found in Berwick-upon-Tweed where you’ll find direct routes to locations all across the UK including Edinburgh, Newcastle, Galashiels, London, Aberdeen and Plymouth, and all places in between. A few bus routes can be found running through Beal. Hop on the 477 to visit Berwick-upon-Tweed and Holy Island, take a trip on the X15 to take in the sights of Newcastle, Morpeth and Alnwick, or travel on the X18 to enjoy Seahouses. The nearest airport is Newcastle International, 55 miles away from Beal.

it's a perfect location if you're visiting Holy Island and super easy to travel to as it's sits right on the A1 but was surprisingly tranquil even though you're literally 100 metres from the main road. the place was incredibly spacious and very fairly priced compared to others. the beds aren't great if you want a softer bed and the ensuite bathroom desperately needs regrouting near the bath and the dead bugs in the light fixture clearing out. aside from that it was super easy to locate and get inside and the bath despite needing a clean was so fast to fill and great to relax in after a visit to all the local attractions. would definitely recommend just can't give 5 stars due to the mould/meldew and dead bugs that need sorting.
