The location of the property is very convenient, being central to the town centre. However, manoeuvring the car onto the driveway was quite difficult. The entrance through the gate is tight, and as all the cars are parked at an angle, getting in and out was more of a hassle than expected. The apartment was generally clean, although it could have benefited from a good dusting, particularly around the side of the television. I also discovered that a rather large spider had decided to share the apartment with me! Although the apartment is on the ground floor and situated next to the main entrance, I was pleasantly surprised that it was not noisy at all. I could occasionally hear the neighbours upstairs using their washing machine, but this was during the early evening and did not disturb me. The carpet in the bedroom could do with either a thorough clean or replacement. As it is grey, the stains were particularly noticeable. The shower is probably the biggest concern. While using it, the temperature repeatedly changed from very cold to scalding hot. This really needs to be looked at, as the sudden changes in temperature could potentially cause an injury and, more importantly, are a safety concern. My main disappointment, however, was the condition of the dish sponge and dishcloth provided. Given the amount guests pay to stay at the property, I would have expected a fresh sponge and dishcloth for each visitor. The sponge provided had definitely seen better days and had very little of the green scourer remaining, while the lightweight blue dishcloth had a noticeable stain on it. I took a photograph, but I won’t upload it as it really wasn’t very pleasant to look at! Having said all that, I wouldn’t want these issues to detract completely from the positives. The apartment is in a very central location and is generally in reasonably good condition. With a little more attention to cleaning, the bedroom carpet, the shower and the basic kitchen supplies, it could be a m The well used blue dish cloths and worn out dish sponge!
