We enjoyed our stay at the Artist’s Residence near Hebden Bridge. The house is about a 15 min walk from the main centre of the village at the top of a steep hill, there are great walks and lots to do in the surrounding area.
Quirky and artistic property which is tastefully decorated and full of charm. The hosts were responsive and communicative and we had a relaxing stay here. However, there are a few things that are worth being aware of - the stairs in the property are very steep, as is the big step in the lower floor between the kitchen and dining table which some people with limited mobility may struggle with, the property is also at the top of a very steep hill making it a challenging walk from Hebden Bridge to the property itself. There was also no firewood provided in the property so we were unable to make the most of the log burner in the living room. The property also doesn't come with a microwave or dishwasher despite these being included on the listing. The single bedroom has a skylight but no blinds for it so an eye mask is needed if you don't want to be woken up with the sunrise. The bathroom door also only has very lightly frosted glass so you can see inside pretty clearly from the corridor.
