Benton Road

The accommodation was good and as presented in the marketing photos with good quality linen, sheets and towels and good general facilities. The garden was well kept and nice to enjoy the Summer weather. The Wi-Fi was good and access to Sky TV a benefit. The location was good to use as a base with easy road links into the country and to the coast with the Metro being in walking distance to take advantage of good regular travel into Newcastle and beyond. There were several local pubs/ restaurants within walking distance. Supermarkets were nearby. A good base.<br/><br/>Whilst we chose not to eat in, the kitchen equipment and crockery was disappointing. The Airfryer was disgustingly dirty and had the residue of food left in it. The oven equipment was not adequately cleaned with 2 items so bad that in our opinion need to be replaced. The bottom of the bread bin looked as if someone had tried to cook in it and certainly as a minimum needed a good clean. With Crockery, there only seemed to be a provision for 4 people which for us wasn’t a problem, however with 3 double bedrooms perhaps a provision for 6 people should be the case. There were only 4 mugs with only 3 matching and 6 saucers but no cups. <br/>We had several other observations which we raised with Host and Stay straight after we had departed and quickly received an acknowledgment that they would review our observations, however after several follow ups we are still to get a satisfactory response. All of our observations had accompanying photos to support our observations. <br/>A great shame as the accommodation was good but let down by some of the kitchen equipment and its cleanliness.

When you do get the key it's easy to access.<br/><br/>The property itself is lovely BUT it is NOT located where advertised. <br/> <br/>I was travelling via public transport to visit a sick relative. Discovering the actual property address is 11 minutes further from town than advertised with now easy bus connections to the hospital was infuriating. The correct postcode for the property is NE27 0EP <br/> <br/>The property manager Host & Stay charge and additional fee (by insisting that you purchase an insurance) prior to giving you access to the property. Given that there is an exhorbinate cleaning fee and booking fee applied by the property it's disappointing to say the least!

Similar to the last review.<br/>Might i add do not stay at a host & stay property as their responses are by AI.<br/>There is quite literally zero customer support.<br/>I had a problem with the blinds & the remote would not work to shut them & the AI robot on customer support who is an international third party spent 5 days responding with the same AI response, it never got fixed.<br/>Dear owner of the home, stop using this company.

Altogether the house was very beautiful and homey but was very dirty and low maintenance. Whoever cleans and maintains definitely needs to improve or be changed. As a family house it was missing simple things like dish sponge, chemicals to clean, towels and clothes and general things like extra pillows or blankets and towels. The amenities provided like the hoover was not working due to how full it was and never cleaned, which we had to clean ourselves in order to clean the house and when writing to them there was no support other than “sorry for the inconvenience” There was no WiFi provided. For the price paid the only thing we could give 5 stars to was the way the house looked but other than that I would say they need to either drop the price or find better cleaners and maintenance.

House was lovely I cannot fault it<br/><br/>The location was a further 4miles from the location I was given. Turned up at an address given and it was someone's actual home! Resulted in extremely expensive taxis to and from Newcastle. Hosts were well no help at all didn't really seem to care offered a discount of future booking, what good that is I don't know!! Then just ignored my emails from then on. Lovely place just a shame the address was incorrect and bloody miles away from Newcastle!! 30quid in taxis each way.

We enjoyed staying at this accommodation and would happily stay again. Very spacious and comfortable.<br/><br/>The beds were very cosy also.<br/><br/>The only downside to this accommodation was that there was no heating and due to the time of year we were very cold during our stay.

The property was very comfortable and clean.<br/><br/>The dishwasher would not close after we opened it so were unable to use it during our stay,. <br/>The property had an incorrect postcode on the booking site which made us think we were closer to the city centre than we actually were. <br/>It would have been handy to know that the Metro into Newcastle was a 10 min walk away. Instead we took our car and it was very difficult driving in Newcastle city with all the road changes and lack of car parks.

The house is lovely with lots of space. Rooms are very homely with both on sweet and upstairs bathroom having lots of room too with very good showers might I add. Local paper shops just across the road and Asda is even walking distance if you have no transport. Beach is lovely with rentable paddle boards etc. locals are all nice too. Great stay.

The accommodation was lovely, very clean, inside and out. All the facilities we needed where there. The bedrooms again very good, plenty of room and storage, really enjoyed it thanks ?.

Nice house with everything you need. Shop just over road and a really nice restaurant just down the road called sambuca’s.

Never leave bad reviews, as you will see from my previous stays this is the first bad review I’ve ever left and the reason is as follows:<br/><br/>The location is literally miles away from the advertised location.. I purposely booked somewhere (or so I thought) in the city centre of Newcastle, this is due to my partner not driving and me needing to work so it gave my partner some freedom as everything would be central, however, this location is actually about half hour away from the city centre? Advertised as NE7 but is actually NE27… when I queried this I received no helpful answers, the host stated that NE27 was the address advertised yet when I sent them a screenshot of the listing advertising NE7 they simply told me to take it up with AirBnB.<br/><br/>Upon arrival the cutlery is so disgusting and covered in old food, every single knife was actually just covered in rust and required me to buy a new set. <br/><br/>Run out of words but not impressed.. they are a company so don’t use.

Nice and modern. Great living space. Double beds in all bedrooms.
