Great place to stay and perfect location for some awesome walks.. pub in the village was in walking distance, the house itself was pristinely clean, spacious and comfortable. Only niggle I had was a dog which persisted to bark most of the night..obviously not the owners fault but take ear plugs just incase..problem solved ?

The accommodation was really comfortable and clean. It is close to lots of nice walks. Overall, we had a good experience staying here. Only thing to note is that, as mentioned in other reviews for this place, the back garden is not fully dog-proof.

The house is just as described, really modern with everything you would need which was perfect for our trip. The location is beautiful and great walks in the surrounding areas.
We had some issues with how to work things in the house and when contacting the hosts they were not helpful as our stay was during a bank holiday.
The first day the property ran out of hot water, the instructions on the property simply stated ‘hot water on demand’, and the host did not have an answer for us. We had to put the central heating was on to heat the hot water tank but it was hot outside so made the stay uncomfortable. I had to contact the host numerous times without a resolution and one person was quite rude on the phone so this was very disappointing. The oven also had no instructions and only the grill would work so we had to eat at the pub each evening.
Overall great accommodation with lack of basic requirements and bad communication from host.

WARNING - if you are booking this through airbnb this property requires sign up to a different set of terms and the payment of a security deposit.
Given the requirement to pay a security deposit and the expensive rate for this property I was expecting great things. Although the property was well presented it was suffering from a lack of investment in basic wear and tear. For example one of the toilets was blocked on arrival and failed to be fixed during our stay, the bath panel was detached, one of the blinds broken and some of the skirting boards falling off. The cleanliness of some areas was also lacking - we found a set of filthy bowls in the cupboard and the woodwork around the dining area was food stained.
In a cheaper property and one that was not collecting an accidental damage fee this might have been acceptable- but the house just did not live up to its advertising.
Finally the TV was advertised as having on demand services and netflix. its from 2007 and has neither.

Set in the idylic village of Middlesmoor, Nidderdale, Foggyshaw Lodge is a peaceful haven in a remarkably picturesque area of Yorkshire. The accommodation was extensive, modern, warm and comfortable. It was mostly well equipped, but there were some differences between the listed inventory and what was available, notably a cot, despite our having re-checked availability beforehand with Host & Stay. The owner provided one soon after our arrival, for which we were grateful, but frankly it was disappointing to have to spend the initial hours of our stay sorting this out. Nevertheless, we were pleased to have had the opportunity to holiday in a lovely home in such beautiful surroundings. Particularly, may I make mention of the warm welcome from the local community, either on walks or in The Crown, an authentic Dales hostelry, a one minute walk from Foggyshaw Lodge: the local beer was excellent, the food was wonderfully cooked and generously portioned, and the staff made us feel 'at home'.

Accommodation was spotless with everything you could ask for. Communication was on point and property was nice and private. Lovely walks straight from your front door . Lovely open area downstairs leaving enough space for all 6 of us to socialise my only negative (if you could call it that) is the 4pm check in, we found it a tad later than other places we have stayed , by the time you settle in and cook / eat and then clean down it was almost time for bed...but apart from that I would still highly recommend !

Really nice location!
Beds were comfortable and the shower was powerful. Heating worked great and the kitchen had all essentials for cooking.
Important to note that the garden is not secure as is stated in the listing. If your dog is small it'll be alright but ours could easily jump up and so could go into the neighbouring garden one way but the other way could get out onto the road. If this was improved by fencing up to the stone wall we would happily stay again as everything else was great.

Lovely house, had everything you need for a few days away. It's obviously quite new as everything is in great condition. Location is set in beautiful countryside and the views on the drive up are great when the skies are clear. The only slight downside is that there isn't a TV in the main lounge area with the sofas but this was a minor point as there is one in the front room with some seating. Definitely would stay again.

Set in a remote village, surrounded by beautiful countryside, ideal for a walking holiday. Clean and modern property, dog friendly but unfortunately the back garden is not totally secure.

We loved our stay at Foggyshaw Lodge. We booked the house for a weekend away for my Dad’s 60th birthday, it had plenty of space, the location was lovely with lots of walks & a nice pub right on your doorstep.

The house was really clean & the bedrooms were all a good size & comfy beds.

The tv didn’t appear to be smart as advertised, however this could have been us being unable to work it! And we didn’t really need it in any case.

All in all a lovely stay & would definitely recommend ??

Well off the beaten track in glorious countryside. Difficult to find as the linked directions don’t take you to the house, and the house itself has no name on it. Even the nearby pub didn’t know where it was. Fortunately Host and Stay have an all hours number so at 9pm we got some help. The key box is on the back wall and not visible from the road. It’s a new build. Well appointed and comfy. Kitchen is well stocked with implements. There’s a caravan park literally over the back fence so we had caravans and their noise until late. The outside space isn’t private as the house is semi detached and the fencing between is low. The outside area is small. Great countryside though with easy access to moors. No WiFi although it’s listed as having it. No welcome guide book with helpful hints either. I’ve stayed in many many Airbnb homes- this isn’t a home, it’s a holiday let and feels like that. But it is comfy and clean and in a beautiful area.
