Great location on the sea front. Big rooms and loads of space. A big playground walking distance.<br/><br/>Damp smell throughout the property and kitchen was a bit old and outdated but enough for our needs.

I had a wonderful stay at the apartment for two days. The space was clean, well-maintained, and beautifully decorated. The amenities provided made my stay very comfortable and convenient. The location was also great, offering easy access to local attractions and dining options. Overall, it was a delightful experience, and I would definitely consider staying here again in the future. Thank you for the warm hospitality!<br/><br/>I would like to suggest extending the checkout time to provide guests with more flexibility. This would allow for a more relaxed departure and enhance the overall experience.

Fantastic space, plenty of room and lovely decor. Couldn't believe the size of it! On first entering, I thought we had the wrong place, it's huge! lots of room so you don't feel on top of each other, great to have extra bathrooms. The kids loved all the hiding places and we all felt very at home. Would book again for sure.<br/><br/>There still seems to be some issues with damp which is understandable as it's a semi-ground floor flat. It's clear that steps have been and are being taken to address it but there is still a damp smell when first entering property. Didn't affect our stay though and would book again.<br/><br/>Could have done with an extra key as due the door needing to be locked from outside if some of the party stayed home, you have to either lock someone in or someone out! <br/><br/>The steps in the hallway are difficult to see due to the flooring colour. Not so much of an issue usually but with young children and a partially blind adult, they were a little hazardous. Perhaps painting the lip of each step a different colour would rectify this and make them more visible.

Huge lovely apartment, very clean and tidy. The only thing I could suggest is to have blackout blinds in the bedrooms. Would stay here for sure.

Do not stay here!!! The house is full of damp and absolutely stinks. They have attempted to mask this with an unnecessary amount of air fresheners. Soaked wet and stained carpets in the main bedroom. Mould up the wall in main bedroom. All plates cutlery and cups needed washing before use as they were dirty. Left in the hallway were coffee cups with floating mould in. This property is spacious and that’s about the only positive. Can’t stay somewhere which is a risk to your health. Don’t book, you’ll regret it.

Beautiful apartment, exceptionally clean, well presented with extra touches that went above expectation, great communication from booking til the end of our stay.<br/><br/>It was very hard to find any faults, but only downfall was a less mobile family member who lives nearby couldn't visit the property due to stairs to the front door, but this did not hinder our stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The host communicated quickly and answered all our questions regarding the property and our stay.<br/>There was mentions of damp in previous reviews and this was our main concern. They assured us the issue had been resolved and it had.<br/>We have stayed in many air bnbs and also other sites offerings but honestly this one stands out for us as genuinely feeling homely. We didn't want to leave.<br/>The place is massive and will sleep 7 without feeling in the least bit cramped. You have your own parking space and the beach literally over the road, what is not to like?<br/>We will definitely stay here again next time we visit.

Unfortunately the apartment was damp and full of mould Airbnb have been amazing but unfortunately the hosts are yet to still respond to my complaint my husband suffered after visit with his asthma black mould in window next to bed my child couldn’t sleep in it. The apartment smells so bad of damp and water was coming down the walls in the living room, very disappointing the hosts do not take health issues seriously.

Regency Mansions in Redcar, Cleveland is on the sea front with parking space to the rear of the property which is ideal, but if i was able to smell the damp before I booked the accommodation i would never of booked to stay there.<br/> I suffer from breathing problems with asthma and copd, the smell of damp hits you as soon as you open the door to the property, it's then tried to be masked by air freshers which clearly will not work! Grubby soft furnishings, damp walls making wallpaper lift, bathroom's have black mould visible around bath and screen, toilet seats are all broken, toilet cleaning brushes disgusting and need replacing.<br/> Not a healthy place to stay and since I stayed ive been poorly with my chest due to the damp.

Size; Location; Excellent towels & bedding; Good facilities; Free on-site Parking.<br/><br/>Smells in kitchen and laundry room - like dirty drains (used candles and bleach to counteract); Cleaning - Lucozade bottle under sofa, dirty wet towels in bathroom, dust on television stand. Oven pans and frying pan unusable. Would have preferred better outlook (being a basement apartment that we were unaware it would be, meant could not see view properly and could not open windows efficiently because of security.

The flat felt somewhat regal. There is so much space whilst still having a cosy feel. With the added bonus of Sky TV there is plenty of channels to entertain a whole family. The location is perfect as you just have to cross the road to get to the beach. We felt very spoiled! Having a parking space made our stay so much easier. Would 100% love to return.

Liked the location and property was in perfect location. Only problem was host and stay said it’s in ground floor flat but it’s wasn’t. It’s semi ground floor and can see the sea view from the windows, the makes me bit upset. Apartment was little cold because it was slightly semi ground level. <br/> <br/>Anyway thanks Host and stay<br/><br/>I didn’t like the flat was in semi ground floor.

The apartment was spacious and very comfortable beds, with 7 of us staying there you didn't feel ontop of one another. The location was great, everything within walking distance and a good base for visiting other areas such as whitby.<br/><br/>As soon as you walked in the apartment there was an overwhelming smell of damp, even if we sprayed and put plug ins in, it didn't make a difference! The apartment wasn't the cleanest, bathroom had mould and hair left around the shower area, could do with a deep clean throughout.

A nice place to stay and great value. We didn’t realise it was a basement apartment from the photos, but otherwise everything in the flat was nice.

Bedroom 2 & 3 both nicely decorated and comfy.<br/><br/>Issues with damp in the main bedroom, wallpaper lifting in places and signs of mould and blown plaster. Also very bad smell of damp in utility. Kitchen had broken door and fake draw on sink unit. Overall the flat could do with a new damp proof course and revamp.

Second visit here. Lovely apartment very relaxing, love the decor and large rooms.<br/>Very clean on arrival apart from a couple of very large cobwebs but to be honest the apartment is massive and a job well done. The only other point on cleaning internally was when we lifted the blinds there were a decent number of little dead flies on the window sills. Easily missed if you don't pull the blinds up. 9 out 10 for cleanliness inside.<br/>Outside is quite scruffy on the steps leading to apartment this has been mentioned before and wouldn't take much cleaning. The scaffolding still being up spoils the appearance, nothing the owner can do about the scaffolding. Creates an instant bad impression of what is a wonderful apartment.<br/>Bedrooms are massive as is front / dining room and nicely fitted and decorated.<br/>Kitchen is small but functional, could really<br/> do with more pots and pans. Appliances in the kitchen are great.<br/>Lovely warm apartment, can't believe how quickly it heats up. We'll return.

Easy Check in Process! Great Property!

The property was spacious, well furnished and had good facilities. The location was good, parking was ok the place was close to all the amenities.<br/><br/>• On arrival, access to the property was difficult due to an Acrow Prop being positioned directly on the steps in front of the door, it was particularly difficult gaining entry and exit when moving luggage. <br/>• On entering the property there was a noticeable smell of damp <br/>• The mattress in the main bedroom was very uncomfortable. <br/>• On the Friday night/Saturday morning of the stay there was a power cut in the area which caused the boiler to fault and had to be reset numerous times. Whilst I realise the power cut was out of your control it is fortunate, we were able to keep resetting the boiler. <br/>• We had to replenish the toilet rolls in all the bathrooms ourselves <br/>• We were unable to use the allotted parking space for the Apartment on Saturday/Sunday. A builders skip had been deposited in the bay adjacent to ours with a chute coming down from the first floor. There were building materials on the floor in our bay which would have been on my car if I had parked there. (see attached photo) <br/>• Finally during our stay the sink in one of the bedrooms was slow to drain and only did so when the toilet was flushed. However, and fortunately for us it was our last morning the toilet itself flooded and cover the bathroom floor in water, which we cleared up. <br/> <br/>It was disappointing that when bringing these issues to the owners attention, all we received was an e-mail apology. I definitely wont be staying at this property again and would avoid any other place hosted by the same company.

Booked this property based on how it looked in the pictures!!! The pictures are pretty acurate. When we arrived we were greeted with the most disgusting steps and entance to the property. Rubbish bags dirty nappies and hundreds of cigarette butts. We opened the door to a huge hallway...and we were taken aback by the most disgusting stench ever, infact one of our daughters said it smelt like a zoo we hadnt even been there 10minutes and we were back out buying airfreshners and candles. We even looked for somewhere else to stay but nowhere was big enough for us all. I complained about the rubbish and the smell and was told housekeeping would come and sort it out. The smell just got harder and harder to bear. We didnt eat or drink a thing using anything from the apartment as the smell just put us off. we spent a small fortune on smellies airfreshners sprays plastic cutlery plates and cups. Never had a hot drink as the kettle was filthy!!! The only way to describe the smell is a mix of drains and severe damp!!! It is just awful!! The kitchen and bathrooms are the worst but the whole place absolutley stinks, and i mean STINKS!! Its a massive shame that things let this apartment down because the potential is amazing the space and decore is great but the housekeeping and cleanliness is dreadful!! I have gone through the complaints procedure and i am hoping for a refund as we were all so dissapointed!! This is my 1st ever review simply because i dont want any other people wasting their money. We had to stay as we had meetings and plans we couldnt change we just had to stomach the smell and rely on plenty of airfreshners dettol and bleach.

the size of the apartment and decor throughout is fantastic. comfortable beds. Great location.<br/><br/>The overwhelming smell of damp. it was so strong I have brought the smell home with me. The cupboards in the utility are full of mould. Its such a shame as the apartment is great. I was also sad to see the steps/ entrance to the property hadn’t been swept. it was full of dirt and cig butts. The last people to stay had also left rubbish bags outside. The host and stay rep was still parked up when we arrived, I don’t understand why he didn’t dispose of the rubbish.

Great location but the housekeeping and accommodation lets it down. Smells atrociously of damp and was a health hazard to one of our party who suffers with asthma. One of the bathrooms was out of order which we weren’t informed of. The entranced steps are also a death trap and could do with a good clean as well as mending. The front room is stunning and so well put together it’s just a shame about the other aspects of the property. The kitchen smelled badly of drains and we did not even try to eat in there. Spent money on air fresheners to try to alleviate the smell but nothing worked.

Very spacious property - inside looks exactly like the pictures (but bigger!). There is no parking permit, so worth noting a daily parking fee will be applied for parking on the seafront. There is scaffolding up across the whole building making it unrecognisable and blocking the view slightly, but once you're inside this is a great property for a family. Value for money is excellent and the location cannot be beaten.

The spacious apartment<br/><br/>The 3rd bathroom out of order for over a year looking at previous reviews... main bedroom was shabby chic to be honest it was shabby and smelly.....my chest began hurting after the 2nd night as it was very very damp in that particular room . The other 2 bedrooms fab and airy.. <br/>.kitchen very small and smelly too. <br/>Living area great.

stunning front room, very well thought out and put together<br/><br/>it’s smells awful. It’s either damp or the drains. Bed sheets were damp. Came to what we thought was a 3 bed & 3 bathroom apartment to find that one of the bathrooms was out of action and dirty towels left on the floor to mop the leak up. we were not informed of this prior to arriving. One of our party is asthmatic and has had a cough since leaving.

The apartment inside was lovely. Nice decor and spacious. Nice little touches. However, i did have to do a little self clean as it wasn't to my standards. Mold in the freezer door, some cutlery still dirty and bath tub a lil grubby. Broken toilet, also the smell of damp is very much present in most rooms especially the kitchen. The steps leading to the apartment was full of bird ? which could easily be removed to make it look a bit more presentable and as mentioned in another review the scaffolding is a bit of an eyesore which maybe should be mentioned in the listing. Anyways, apart from that it was a nice place to stay, a beautiful size apartment. Redcar itself, not so much to do there but suppose you can always find your own personal enjoyment/entertainment.

Location practically on the beach was great, the living space felt quite cosy on the evenings.<br/>Spacious bedrooms.<br/>A good base to explore other areas via the train which was only only a short walk away<br/><br/>Issue with parking on arrival, the reserved space for the apartment number 1 was constantly in use by other cars, had to pay for street parking until one of the two visitor bays were empty.<br/>Bedrooms/sheets felt slightly damp and the 2nd bathroom smelt a bit musty.<br/>Scaffolding was put up during the stay which was erected in the middle of the steps leading to the apartment.<br/>Looking out the window of the apartment there was lots of rubbish about which made it look untidy.<br/>A pair of oven gloves would of been handy.<br/>Trying not to be too critical because it was a decent little break and think with little tweaks with some of the points it could be better.

Need lots of Health & Safety updates before it is suitable for occupancy. Not only could I not safely get my daughters pram up and down the entrance stairs due to a scaffold being in the centre of the stairs, the door was not a fire door and had there been a fire, we would have been unable to exit the property as the fire windows were blocked by scaffolding so any full size adult would not be able to get out. Nice property but terrible experience unfortunately due to many failures.

We let ourselves in Friday evening via key box.<br>Very musty at first. A couple minor shortcomings a broken toilet in one bedroom, and toilet seat in another.<br>Other than that a pretty spacious place for a long weekend.

Location and size. The furniture and rooms made us feel at home.<br/><br/>The apartment was rather cold at times and had a slight damp smell. Kitchen was a little small for the number of people.

Heating system worked well, toasty warm. Spacious apartment, well presented.<br/><br/>Access down steps not the best, slippery when wet. Area around the entrance very untidy. <br/>Being continually pestered to sign up to an insurance scheme, I've never come across this before. Could have been a scam for all I knew, they wanted too much personal information, not sure how secure their site is. I couldn't find who underwrites their insurance scheme.

The location was perfect right on the sea front. <br/> <br/>Apartment itself was amazing, rooms very large and the beds were very comphy.<br/><br/>The only downsides were: <br/>1) toilet in the furthest room with the double and single bed was very loud meaning this could not be flushed at night without waking everyone. <br/>2) one bin had been missed by the cleaners and a previous occupant had left used sanitary products in this.

Location good for six adults on a walking holiday<br/><br/>It could have been considerably cleaner! No heating, other than two electric fan heaters, for the first four days, bathrooms particularly cold and impossible to dry towels. We were three couples on a walking holiday and showering twice a day so this was a big problem. We were offered extra towels as a ‘goodwill gesture’ on the fourth day but, unfortunately, we had taken the key with us that day so they never materialised. Kitchen was grubby, very small with no external window. The oven trays had not been cleaned and one was still covered in greasy tin foil! The kitchen sink kept bubbling up with the most foul smelling brown gunge and the fridge went from freezing the contents to the shelves being covered in water which required mopping up. There were three wine glasses available for six people (one of which broke as it was lifted out of the cupboard). There are only two bathrooms - not three as advertised: one en-suite and one to share. A second bedroom had a very high toilet with a very low sink - presumably for disabled use - but the steps down to the apartment would make this an impossibility for wheelchair access. The bed in the main bedroom needs attention, extremely noisy whenever you moved in it. The outside areas, especially the steps down to the front door, were nothing less than disgusting! The whole apartment would benefit from a deep clean. Such a shame as the property could be lovely, it’s huge and (apart from the kitchen) we never felt in each others way. Redcar itself was very nice- but they have a real problem with dog mess on the pavements!

Was clean and well kept. All the bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and to a high specification of cleanliness and presentation. Sky TV in the front room with ability to stream Netflix was good. Free WiFi was a bonus especially as phone signal was not great in the building. Great price though, especially with the booking Genius discount on top. Overall very happy with the property. Will definitely be re booking when visiting Teesside in future<br/><br/>The heating was temperamental, although had followed the instructions given by the company, the heating did turn itself off and non of the radiators in the bedrooms worked. Fridge was located in the utility room which was was bit odd. Hard to locate the property initially

Location fantastic.Apartment gloriously large and very near the sea. Would recommend.<br/><br/>Possibly due to break downs the fridge was not in the kitchen with the freezer and in a separate utility room. One toilet systems was broken on arrival. Fans in bathrooms do not appear to work. The outside entrance area needed a good clean. Everything else was brilliant so overcame these minor issues and this is not a complaint just an observation.

Very spacious apartment, communication was good and check in was very efficient. Lots of space to spreadout and everything you might need is provided. The fridge in the kitchen has been removed (simply leaving a gap where it should have been) and another fridge has been placed in the utility room - not ideal but workable. The kitchen cupboards are showing their age, and as there is no ventilation in any of the bathrooms there is a bit of a damp/musty smell.<br/><br/>Good Location right on the Seafront as well, plus the parking is extremely handy.

Don’t be fooled by the pictures... The rooms feel even bigger than they look on the website! An amazingly spacious and comfortable flat on the seafront. The 5 and 6 year old loved the space they had to play about. Flat was clean and everything felt well tended for. Recommended!

The Regency Mansions Apartment in Redcar, a basement apartment, was very spacious and well equipped plus we found it very comfortable. There were a couple of minor niggles within, that we found on arrival, but the Stay team were very responsive to resolve, and we enjoyed our break. Per a previous reviewer comments the building remained with scaffolding up when we visited, but that does not impact inside.<br/>The long sandy beach was just across the road. A bonus was a rock pool area at low tide which was nice to explore.

This apartment is lovely inside! However, the outside is currently completely covered in scaffolding, which is not shown in the pictures. This was not a major issue for us but it is an eye sore. Location is amazing as it’s right opposite the beach. Every room is pretty big and clean, apart from one of the toilets when we first entered ? Aside from this, was a great stay and I would recommend for someone staying here, as long as it is a bit cleaner next time.

The place was much bigger than we thought it would be, plenty of space for our toddler to potter about and we all had separate bathrooms which the teenager loved.
