Neighborhood
The historic town of Rochester is where you’ll find a captivating blend of medieval charm and contemporary living. Nestled along the River Medway, this town boasts a rich heritage that spans centuries. Its most iconic feature is the magnificent Rochester Castle, a testament to its Norman roots and a symbol of the city's historical significance.

The town's medieval streets are lined with timber-framed buildings and picturesque alleyways, inviting visitors to stroll through time. The cobblestone paths lead to Rochester Cathedral, another architectural marvel that reflects the city's historical and religious importance. The cathedral's intricate stone carvings and awe-inspiring architecture are a testament to the craftsmanship of eras gone by.

Beyond its historical landmarks, Rochester is a vibrant hub of culture and entertainment. The bustling High Street is home to a variety of independent shops, cosy cafes, and traditional pubs that offer a taste of local life. The annual Dickens Festival, paying homage to Charles Dickens who spent part of his life in the area, draws crowds with its Victorian-themed celebrations and lively street performances.

Rochester's riverside location adds to its allure, providing opportunities for leisurely walks along the Medway, boat trips, and picnics in scenic parks. With its proximity to London and excellent transportation links, Rochester seamlessly blends its storied past with modern convenience, making it a desirable place to visit.

Disappointing experience.. The bed had clearly been slept in and the bedding not changed. The bin was full, smelled bad and dripped all over the floor when we took it out. There were no cleaning products to clean up with so had to use washing up liquid and toilet roll. The apartment had no basics like soap and just one dirty towel. We ended up buying cheap bedding and towels from B&M. We've requested the £50 cleaning fee is refunded at the very least but as we had to pay out to make the apartment habitable on the first night feel we should have the first night refunded too. The apartment was nice enough and well located but after the hassle on the first night I wish we'd just booked a hotel.

Living in this apartment was very comfortable and convenient. I give all the highest marks to this apartment. Dilye is close to shops, cafes, a park and the city center. The accommodation was calm and safe. I will be happy to come back here again! Olga

Apartment was clean and comfortable. Location worked well for us - we could walk everywhere that we wanted to go.

The bins out the front of the property were overflowing and there was litter across the front yard. There were no toiletries - not even some liquid soap, even though the booking.com summary said there would be. There was also no tea towel, no hairdryer and no coffee making facilities or cafetiere.

On the whole, was ok. A number of small things not ideal with cleanliness. Also lack of accountability from the agency, for example they didn’t address the TV not working, which I couldn’t be bothered to chase. Outer door lock was also super stiff which panicked me when I first arrived - would have been good to have advance warning. The apartment was more spacious than expected which was nice. Lovely views by the castle & river a short walk away.

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for 2 nights we came from another air B&B and over all the place was nice , tidy, well situated , wifi and tv worked and easy to find with parking. Only thing let it down was there was no toilet roll, only 1 towel between 2 and no bath mat. Some cutlery was a little dirty on arrival but nothing we couldn’t clean ourselves.
Think with a few more tweaks it would be a good stay as it’s a short walk into town and overall very stylish.

Accomodation was excellent with a very nice interior design. Good location for the town and for the business trip I was on.

N/A
