The Space
The Harbour Den is a contemporary two-bedroom apartment that can accommodate a maximum of 4 guests.

As you enter the apartment, you will find the master bedroom to your left, fitted with a king-size bed and a vanity table.

In the second bedroom, you'll find a twin bed setup, offering the luxury of personal space with separate beds exclusively for your use.

With a Smart TV in each bedroom, you can enjoy your favourite shows or movies right from the comfort of your own room.

The family bathroom is conveniently positioned between the two bedrooms, boasting a bathtub, separate shower, WC, and basin for your comfort and convenience.

Adjacent to this is an open-plan living/dining/kitchen area. This stylish area showcases dining chairs and sofa in brown leather, and a Smart TV for streaming your favourite shows! Our modern white kitchen has everything you need for home-cooked meals, including an oven, hob, microwave and fridge/freezer!

Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during guest bookings. For this reason, we require all our guests to transfer a Damage Deposit (refundable, subject to an administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.

Neighborhood
The Harbour Den is located on Baxtergate, in the centre of Whitby. You will find the flurry of shops, restaurants and bars just a few steps from the front door.

The Blue Flag West Cliff beach and promenade is just a short stroll away from the apartment. The famous Trenchers is nearby where you can try traditional Whitby fish and chips! On Pier Road, you’ll find nostalgic arcades which are fun for all ages.

The opposite side of Whitby is full of narrow, medieval streets dotted with boutiques and pubs. Sample the catch of the day in one of the fish restaurants or visit one of the traditional sweet shops for all your candy needs.

Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary and the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’.

Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks.

Getting Around
The Harbour Den is located in the centre of Whitby so the town can easily be explored on foot.

Whitby train station is just a stone's throw away so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station.

There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.

Overall a good place to stay - great location, very central but quiet at night, reasonably well equipped kitchen, more spacious than I had expected. We had a lovely time there. However, BEWARE THE BOT! I tried to find out a simple question about which floor it was on (1st floor fyi) and spent some time fruitlessly and increasingly vexed trying to get this info by messaging what was clearly an AI response that didn't know and couldn't check. Eventually I called the number and the actual person I spoke to also couldn't find out. It was crucial to me for mobility reasons as affected if all planned guests could come. In the end I found the information by discovering a listing on a different site for the same place.

Lovely place to stay, clean, beautifully furnished and good central location. There’s a few things I’d have liked to have known before my visit. <br/>1. It’s on a high street surrounded by bars, cafes and shops and very noisy until the early hours of the morning. Then the draymen start rolling the barrels about 6am. <br/>2. It’s very warm in the bedrooms and the windows don’t open. <br/>3. You can park at the pay and display which are near but they are expensive- £24 a day!<br/>4. There is a mandatory damage fee which we were told about 7-10 days before the stay.

Apartment is in a great location right in the centre of Whitby. It is nicely furnished and the beds are comfy. Good price for the location.<br/><br/>Apartment wasnt clean. It smelt of musty cigarettes when we first went in. It clearly hadn't been dusted recently, the tops of furniture and floors were dusty, socks were covered in dust and bits when walking round apartment. <br/>The toilet makes a loud deep grinding noise whenever it is flushed (not ideal for night time loo trips) <br/>No wardrobe, hangers, or anywhere to hang clothes. <br/>Tray in oven was covered in used oil, hadn't been cleaned since previous use. No kitchen roll, and nothing provided to do dishes (other than dishwasher) or to wipe surfaces with (no sponges or cloths) which is no use if just want to clean previous guests lipstick off glasses!<br/>No bedside lamps provided in the twin room, just the main ceiling light. <br/>Such a shame as these are such easy fixes and are the basics required for a decent stay. Saying this, we would stay here again if we knew it had been cleaned properly and with a few tweaks, as it is a very good location and has great potential.

The apartment is in a good location. It it very modern inside and everything looks new.<br/><br/>The entrance let’s the property down, lots of post on the floor. The apartment was clean apart from the floors which had a lot of dust gathered under the furniture and behind the doors.
