The Space
The Boat House has a bright and stylish living area with a vaulted ceiling and exposed beams – a theme which runs throughout the studio. The perfect spot to unwind, you can relax on the comfy cream sofa, catch up on your favourite shows on the flat screen Smart TV, and enjoy stunning views of the on-site lake.

Modern in style, the kitchen has modern appliances and cookware so you can prepare and enjoy home cooked meals throughout your stay.

The dining area includes a dining table and four leather dining chairs.

Perfect for two, the bedroom space at The Boat House includes a king size bed with premium bed linens and plush bedding to ensure you have a great night’s sleep. Pops of colour are added through the soft furnishings to create a truly tranquil feel.

The bathroom has a walk-in shower, separate free-standing bathtub, WC and wash basin.

Outside you’ll find a private decking area, accessible from the living area, while a separate outdoor space is also available from the ground floor level. Both spaces offer fantastic lake views.

For this reason, we require all our guests to transfer a Damage Deposit (refundable, subject to an administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.

Getting Around
Middleton Hall Estate is located within 20 minutes’ drive time to beautiful areas within Northumberland such as Wooler, Berwick-upon-Tweed and Alnwick. There are excellent travel links as the estate is only a short distance from the A1. Given the rural location of Belford, having a car is essential when staying in the village.

Berwick-upon-Tweed railway station is roughly a 20-minute drive away from Belford. From here, there is direct rail access to locations all across the UK including Newcastle, Edinburgh, York, Leeds and London.

There are a number of bus stops throughout Belford. Hop on the 418 service to explore Bamburgh, Beadnell, Alnwick and Alnmouth amongst others. The X18 route travels between Newcastle and Berwick upon Tweed with stops in Morpeth, Amble and Seahorses.

Newcastle Airport is roughly one hour away by car.
