Beautiful apartment, great location, very comfortable, spacious and clean.<br/><br/>Before we got key code we had to sign up to extra insurance. This was not clear at booking stage and added £25 to the bill.

Location was perfect plus although parking was a little awkward, it was not a major problem.<br/><br/>Loose toilet seat. I'm sure the cleaners would have noticed this and reported back for repairs , but not done when we arrived.

Very clean tidy and well equipped<br/><br/>No on-site parking. Not property owners fault but all 24 hrs long stay full on arrival and if took us over 30 minutes and 3 different car parks. Just peak time in August

The location is superb as central in Alnwick very close to all the restaurants and bars. Also very close to castle, castle gardens and Barter Books.<br/><br/>You are also on the doorstep of some amazing walking areas such as Holy Island, Craster, Embleton, Dunstanburgh Castle, Alnmouth etc etc etc.<br/><br/>The property is very tastefully furnished, lovely comfy king size bed, excellent pictures and photos throughout the property, well kitted out kitchen and great wardrobe space etc.<br/><br/>The information provided for the property was very thorough and all correspondence was also very thorough.<br/><br/>The bathroom is not on the same floor as the bedroom although we were aware of this and wasn’t a problem. Lounge settees were not that cumfy either!<br/><br/>Prior to receiving entry information you are emailed that there is a £250 credit card fee for any breakages and a £10 admin charge is retained from your £250 charge and provided no issue £240 will be returned in up to 14 days. <br/><br/>This to us felt rather excessive, we could not see any justification for retaining this £10 admin fee and think it should be included in the cost of the booking which frankly is not cheap as properties go; I have never had this before in 20 years of booking properties either here or on Airbnb!<br/><br/>Alternatively you are invited and in fact encouraged to take out a £25 insurance fee against any breakages or damages to the property. Again we felt this excessive and also unnecessary additional fees.

Had a lovely stay in Muggle Mews, Alnwick. I’d definitely recommend and stay again.

Lovely apartment, spacious and clean with huge TVs and all mod cons. It's in a great position too. Unfortunately the shower kept breaking (a system airlock) and the Host and Stay customer support system is awful. We phoned and emailed for help but got no reply to either (we left messages) so had no shower on day two. Managed to get through the next day and was promised a maintenance person would attend. Not sure whether they did or did not, but the shower seemed to work - for a short while at least. We noted others have mentioned the problem so it's not a new issue and this is big shame as the place is very nice. Our problems with Host and Stay don't end there though. We tried to amend the booking dates due to a hospital appointment clash (almost four weeks before our visit) but numerous emails and phone calls proved fruitless . When we did get through Host and Stay insisted only TripAdvisor could change the dates, but our booking came through Holiday Lettings.com and they provided us with only one email and phone number to edit bookings ....the number and address of Host and Stay! So we went round and round in circles and eventually gave up. After all, by then Host and Stay had our money so had no incentive to help us as customers. If I was the owner of Muggles Mews I'd be very angry. The apartment is 5 our of 5 .... Host and Stay are zero.

Well equipped property in central location.<br/><br/>The description of the property having a patio is a tad misleading. There is an outside yard area shared by a number of properties which is accessed down an alley way. Not a problem for us but if someone wanted a private patio it would be very disappointing.

The location was perfect for getting out and about. The apartment had so many lovely art pieces that made you go over as they drew you in. Beautiful ?<br/><br/>Parking system.

An outstandingly comfortable and well appointed base for our all-too-brief stay in Northumberland. This flat is excellent in every way. Communication was good although we didn’t meet anyone in person. We would come back with pleasure.<br/><br/>There was nothing we didn’t like.

Very spacious, comfortable and peaceful, in spite of being in the centre of Alnwick. Although the building itself is very old inside it was very warm and welcoming with thoughtful touches which made it a very happy and relaxing place to stay. The view of Alnwick Castle from the bedroom was great. Excellent location for castle and gardens and for visiting other parts of Northumberland. Plenty of food shops and places to eat too. There are free car parks up behind Morrisons, but have to move car every 24 hours so had to remember.<br/><br/>Prefer a bathroom on same floor as bedroom!

The position was perfect. Very homely and comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped and nice big TVs. Large comfortable bed.<br/><br/>The parking was a bit of a pain.

Muggles Mews is a unique home from home . So well equipped and really comfortable.<br/><br/>Nothing at alll.<br/>except that an arrow pointing ‘anti-clockwise ‘ on the street entrance handle would be really helpful ??

Breakfast was not included, location was excellent. The decor in the whole place was exceptional.<br/><br/>The entry was via two doors , the main outside door and the mews door. The instructions sent prior to our visit could have been a lot clearer which would help idiots like me although a neighboring tenant did say a lot of other people had encountered problems to enter the property. Couldn't get the wifi to work. The additional optional £10/£25 we had to pay to cover accidental loss should have been shown at the time of booking.

A very comfortable and convenient property right next to Alnwick Castle with everything you needed for a great holiday. A great place for just being able to wander and walk round Alnwick. A few minutes to Alnwick Gardens, The Castle, Barter Books. Good pubs and restaurants right on your doorstep, we would recommend the Tanners Arms for a good beer and make sure you eat at Lilburns which is just great food. Easy for touring the Northumbrian coast. Visit both Howick Gardens on the way to Craster and walk round Helen Park just on the edge of Alnwick.

This is a lovely property , very spacious with everything you need .in the centre of Alnwick

The house itself was lovely, well furnished and kited out for longer stays too (every pot and pan/Tupperware you could ever need!), great location and good space. However, the house is on a second floor of a building, which meant lots of up and down stairs with a pram/baby related items which was a bit exhausting. The door on the main road that has a security lock (right underneath the property) was locked with a key from the inside, so we had to walk to the back of the property every time we needed to come or go, which was frustrating. The path from the back had zero lighting, it was very dark past 5pm and head torches or phone torches were required for safety. Additionally, the path from the back is up a sloping hill, which was really slippy when it rained and especially in the dark situation was a bit dangerous. I wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone a little unsteady on their feet.

Lovely and spacious flat in a great location right in the middle of Alnwick. The flat has everything you would need, with plenty of bars, restaurants and the sights of Alnwick all on your doorstep

Ideal location, beautifully presented property with everything one could ask for. Spotlessly clean throughout one is a stones throw from all of Alnwick’s attractions. Would score this 11/10 if one could.<br/><br/>There is nothing not to like about this property.

We had a lovely time in this gorgeous property - really beautifully designed and decorated, very comfortable with everything we needed, and the location is fantastic for local attractions, bars, restaurants and shops. Would definitely recommend Muggles Mews!

Fabulous homely apartment with everything you could need for your stay, including washer, dryer, iron, free view TV, DVD films and box sets, books. Literally on the castle walls and on one of the main streets. Next door to pubs, cafes, restaurants if you don’t want to cook. Free parking for 24 hour sessions in the car parks at the back of the property. <br/>So easy to drive from the car parks out to the coast and many of the amazing coastal castles and sights.

Very well finished property right in the heart of stunning Alnwick with views over the castle from your bedroom. All shops, pubs and cafes right on your doorstep and parking all within 3 mins walk (including a rapid charger for our EV). We will definitely be back.
