Neighborhood
Alnwick, a charming market town nestled in the picturesque county of Northumberland, is a place where history and natural beauty merge seamlessly. With its roots dating back to Roman times, Alnwick has a rich and storied past that is still very much alive today.

The town is perhaps best known for its stunning Alnwick Castle, a majestic medieval fortress that has stood for over a thousand years. This iconic landmark has played a significant role in both British history and pop culture, serving as a filming location for movies and television series, including the beloved Harry Potter films. Its beautifully manicured gardens, known as the Alnwick Garden, are equally enchanting, featuring ornate fountains, an enchanting treehouse restaurant, and a fascinating poison garden filled with deadly plants.

Alnwick's historic town centre is a delightful mix of cobbled streets, charming shops, and traditional pubs. It exudes an inviting atmosphere that beckons visitors to explore its nooks and crannies. The town's market square is a hub of activity, hosting a weekly market where locals and tourists alike can browse an array of goods, from fresh produce to artisan crafts.

Nature enthusiasts will find Alnwick's surroundings equally captivating. The nearby Northumberland National Park offers miles of unspoiled wilderness, ideal for hiking and outdoor adventures. Alnwick is also a gateway to the stunning Northumberland coastline, featuring sandy beaches, dramatic cliffs, and the Farne Islands, a haven for birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts.
