The room itself was clean, but the overall experience with 'Hosting Stay' was extremely frustrating. Getting into the property took over 30 minutes of standing outside. I had to call their support center, wait on hold for over 10 minutes, got cut off by the call center agent, and had to call back all over again just to get the key code. Once inside, the place was boiling. While air conditioning wasn't explicitly listed, for the price paid, one would absolutely expect at least a basic fan or some way to cool the room. It was exceptionally hot during my stay, to the point where I actually had to cover myself in wet towels just to cool down. Clean place, but the awful check-in process and unbearable heat made it a very uncomfortable stay.

Just adequate  Checking in shouldn't require me to wait for the room to be cleaned first. I booked and paid immediately, and I didn't even check in early. I was on time, but the room was still full of laundry, not yet prepared for the next guest. Everyone is tired from traveling, so if the check-in process isn't ready, do I really have to wait for the room to be cleaned as well?

The keys were in a key safe, sadly telephone call gave us the wrong code, so had to fish out a laptop, launch a hotspot, and find the email for the correct code.  Registered disable made to climb a steep flight of stairs, honestly I am surprised they meet to specs for an HMO My husband has paint dust all over a new black shirt and trousers 2 people for dinner only 1 fork available, only 3 not 4 mugs The absolute worst thing though, was they did not empty the bathroom bin from the previous occupants, utterly gross Apparently the new thing is only providing 1 pillow per person 1 bedside table for a double bed 1 bedside light  To me this studio, I would not agree with the word apartment being used to be honest, felt like a student let of an exceedingly basic level, done on the cheap.  The could not even be bothered to remove some of the label off of the table under the window with the 1 uncomfortable chair provided for the 2 occupants  Ladies if you stay here you need to pack your own hairdryer THERE IS NOT ONE PROVIDED....... this was the worst thing out of everything other than the unemptied bathroom bin.   The call centre is located and manned in the Philippines as the UK one is only manned Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm 

Find somewhere else if you want any degree of comfort

The place was clean.  The maintenance team failed to arrive and solve my problem, the room was very cold even when the heater was on. 

I sadly had a bad experience during my stay, the shower was not working.

Pros: Walkable to both the train station & city centre. Milk already in the fridge on check in. Sainsbury's nearby. Friendly host. Smart TV. Good WiFi. Good shower. Easy check in. Cons: Floor dirty on check in. The miniature bin in the kitchen is neither use nor ornament. It wouldn't even fit one microwave meal tray inside it. Ended up just using a loose bin bag.  The flat needs a full length mirror. There's plenty of wall space for one. The only mirror is in the bathroom and I don't like to keep my make up in the same room as a toilet flush so it made the morning make up routine awkward!  The flat was freezing on check in and every night when I got in. I asked if there was a way to set it to come on before I got in from work, I was told yes via the controls on the heater. I explained those controls were inaccessible behind a screwed down plastic box and was there an alternative way, but got no reply. The flat warms up after 3 or 4 hours but was always cold when getting in at night.

i really enjoyed my stay here check in was easy all instructions were provided ahead of time for a smooth check in host was responsive and on hand for any issues that we may have had. the apartment itself was tidy clean and had all the listed amenities and everything i could need for my stay will definitely consider staying again in future if i need somewhere would highly recommend!

I was working in Darlington for a couple of days and needed somewhere to stay - this studio flat was absolutely perfect for my needs. Easy to walk from the station and into town, and had everything I needed for a short stay. The host was very responsive and sent very clear instructions for finding the flat and checking in. Would definitely stay again!

At the time, the front door was very difficult to open, and the 24 hour emergency number wasn't answered. It was only because someone came out that I was able to get in. The door has now been mended (found out on my last day) 

My complaints were taken seriously and acted on.

The photos matched the place exactly. The host was very friendly and rpelied super quickly to any msgs and questions that I had.

Pleasant and comfortable

El apartamento N. 3 está situado en la planta calle del edificio pero realmente está en el sótano (al abrir la puerta apenas hay descansillo y las escaleras son empinadas con peldaños muy pequeños y sin pasamanos, es muy fácil caerse; además, no tiene luz al acceder al apartamento). El apartamento estaba limpio, pero la zona exterior donde están las llaves estaba llena de basura y olía mal, además de la entrada (el suelo lleno de papeles). La puerta de entrada al edificio no cerraba bien, y el apartamento N. 3 tiene una salida a un patio, cuya cerradura tampoco funcionaba (daba la sensación de dormir con la puerta abierta). Tuve un problema con la caja de seguridad de las llaves y la empresa que gestiona el apartamento me dio pocas soluciones: muchos correos y mucho seguimiento, pero desde una oficina, sin solución local.

Clean and good value for money  Stairs were treacherous and felt unsafe. Only one mirror which was in the bathroom. No blind on the door so very bright early in the morning. No flexibility we were only there for 1 night so from check in at 4pm to check out at 10am, I requested an early check in as we were at an event that started at 1.30 but were told no. I asked if it was possible just to leave our luggage (one nights stay so minimal) and was told no. At that point if we had been entitled to a refund we would have cancelled

Liked the close proximity to train station, shops and town centre. The room was nice and clean. When we had a problem with the plumbing it was dealt with promptly. Liked the ease of check in but would have appreciated a place to put our luggage as we had to wait from the time of arriving by train to actual check in which was 4pm so we could do some exploring around the town.  It would have been nice to have a toaster to have toast with a cup of tea in the mornings. It would have been nice to have a little table and 2 chairs to sit at to eat meals. The option of another pillow would have also been great. I didn't like that the rubbish bin outside the front door was overflowing and by the time we left bags were on the ground.

Modern and location is good.  Bed had been slept in and not made!  Towels on the bathroom floor and rubbish still left on the floor.  Housekeeping had clearly not been in!  Blinds do not cover the windows so bright sunlight and not dark at night. 

Very poor experience over all.  Could not get wif-fi to work!!

The bed was very comfortable and the shower was good.  I was given the address and a key safe code, but there were 5 unmarked key safes. I tried all of them but some would not open. I telephoned but the first 2 options went to answerphone in the middle of the afternoon. I tried option 4 and spoke to someone who just told me what I already knew. I eventually got the top key safe open and got the key. The front door would not lock. My room was on the ground floor very close to the pavement and road. The room was very warm 25C with no way to cool it down. Opening the windows was difficult because of the blinds and this let more noise in from cars parking outside and traffic going past. The wash basin was loose, as was the shower head holder. There were no obvious tea spoons but on the last day I found some small ones inside some plastic beakers. I was woken up early every morning as people in the other 4 rooms left the property as my room was nearest the front door. 

I wont be staying here again

A limpeza, a cama é muito confortável, o espelho do banheiro, o chuveiro muito bom.  Sugestão: Falta persianas na lateral da janela, isso é ruim quando amanhece dá muita claridade no quarto. O aquecedor do quarto não suporta quando está muito frio, o quarto fica gelado. 

Central location near rail station, street parking or rail station carpark across the road.  Noisy occupants of the unit across hallway kept us awake till 3am each night. 

Great studio, request ground floor as no lift, newly renovated, would stay again.

the room was great and very quiet. there is a microwave and a kettle in the room which are very handful
