This period cottage is in a pretty village is ideally situated for access to Boroughbridge and Easingwold and the attractions of the wider North Yorkshire area. It is quite quirky in shape and retains some of the original features, but is very nicely furnished and well equipped.<br/><br/>Several things. I was given completely the wrong WiFi details by the letting agency, and the mobile signal in the village was very weak, so I wasted my first evening there trying to contact them and get connected. The guidance notes were only accessible using a QR code, which is useless if you have no wifi! Then I discovered there were no cups whatsoever in the crockery cupboard. Furthermore, although I had paid up the required £300 damages deposit in order to be allowed access to the property, and received a receipt for it, I had been sent a second demand for this payment. I was not happy that Booking.com had confirmed that I had paid up fully for renting this property, but that hidden in the small print was this extra charge, which I am now awaiting to be refunded. I finally managed to get a call through to the agency from outside in the road and they said someone would come in the morning, when I would be out, but fortunately the owner was also contacted and she came round promptly that evening and gave me the correct wifi details and found a stack of crockery and glasses left in the dishwasher by the previous tenant, so all was well in the end. I am most grateful to her for her prompt and effective response. I don't know who was responsible for it raining almost continuously the whole time I was there, but it would have been nice to have had some sunshine!!

This property is managed by a company. They ask for a £250 deposit and £10 admin fee, which is unexpected compared to a property that is managed through Air BnB only. After paying the deposit I had to phone Host & Stay to be sent our check-in information. Host & Stay were asking me for positive reviews before returning my deposit to me, which came back a week after check-out. <br/>The property is very clean and fresh. We stayed here to go to a wedding at Lodge Farm- perfect location for this. It was fine for our needs but felt expensive for what it was.<br/>The pictures of the second bedroom feel deceptive- it really is a single bedroom with a double bed in it. We had to put our bags and belongings in the corridor outside as there was simply no room. Contrary to property listing, no shampoo or dedicated workspace. WiFi details provided were incorrect. Parking spaces were a bit ambiguous.
