The location is fantastic. The flat is good, it is spacious and larger than expected, which was a plus. Really nice touch having a little desk in the living room. The living room and bed rooms were really clean. The court yard was good too especially if you're up in summer. Check in is very easy. Communication between us and Charlie was brilliant via booking.com. There was no parking permit left in the accommodation for us to use. This meant that we have no free on street parking as advertised on booking.com and AirBnB and this was one of the main reasons we booked this apartment. We had to park in the pay and display carpark and pay £5 a day. The charges did not apply on christmas day, boxing day or Saturday so we were lucky we didn't have to pay every day. I was in contact with the company and they advised me to use alternative parking, which was free, and said that a permit was not needed. However, when I parked there, there were clear signs that advised that it was permit parking. We did see traffic wardens, so we were lucky we ignored this information and parked in the pay and display. There is no curtain on one of the windows in the living room that looks out onto the main street. This didn't provide a sense of privacy and the zebra crossing light along with car lights are very annoying. There are no wardrobes or hangers in the twin room. There is no mirror in either bedroom for a vanity area to do hair, makeup, etc. A full-length mirror would be a nice touch.

We had a lovely stay at the apartment. It was freshly decorated, everything was impeccable, the beds were very comfortable, there are thick curtains and the windows kept out the traffic noise. The kitchen was well equipped but we only had breakfast as we were visiting our son and his wife so were out all the time. The hot water system worked well as did the heating and the TV. It would have been useful to have a chair for clothes in the twin bedded room plus more towel rails and hooks in the bathroom. The hosts left us several messages offering assistance but we didn’t need any, so didn’t contact them . All in all, it was a successful stay. We’d recommend the apartment and would happily stay there again.
