Great location, great place however there was a problem with the cleanliness. There was a lot of cat hair both up and downstairs and on furniture

Stunning location. Beautiful, unspoilt part of the country. Equally beautiful and unique village location, but with a bit of a buzz about it. We loved it!
As far as accommodation goes, however, you get what you pay for. Perhaps I’m being mean and I appreciate it is a very old property but a tea towel, dish cloth and chopping board wouldn’t go amiss, for starters, particularly when you know you are looking after someone else’s property.
Also a bit cheeky to add extra cost in terms of insurance AFTER booking. Surely this should be part of the booking process?

We loved our stay in Hutton-le-Hole and the cottage was perfect for a family of 4. Great location and a lovely little cottage. There wasn’t enough details provided by the host, for example there is a notice board in the kitchen without any information on it. There is a lovely garden area and small field at the back of the property with space for a BBQ etc. If it wasn’t for the gardener’s being present during our stay we wouldn’t have known that it was available for us to use. There’s also a shared shed which hosts a washing machine & freezer which we found by chance. More information provided by the hosts would be very useful.
The property says it is pet friendly which is fine, however the rug in the living room could do with replacing as it is covered in pet hairs. Overall the cottage was clean and tidy, but there were some cobwebs and dusty areas so it could definitely do with a more thorough deep clean. The beds were comfy and the bathroom & Kitchen were nice and clean.

Lovely property in a beautiful location, conveniently located for many North Yorkshire attractions. Well-equipped, clean and nicely furnished.

Cute little cottage nestled right under the north York moors. Ample parking with a lovely garden (read field) for the dog to run around in and beautifully decorated throughout.
Unfortunately this property was listed as family friendly and the host specifically clarified that this property was “suitable for under twos” but had no travel cot or high chair available which wasn’t ideal but not a deal breaker. However The stairs are an open wooden staircase with quite wobbly handrails and the three bottom steps are bare stone, and all the walls down stairs are also bare stone which is beautifully in keeping but really not great for tiny people.
This company also charges a sneaky £25 damage fee outside of air b&b fees which was again annoying but not a deal breaker.

Such a lovely cottage. The stairs are not for the faint hearted especially if you have a mobility issue. Quaint and lovely and a stones throw from the local pub that does really great food!
We will definitely be back for another stay.

Beautiful location and attractive cottage, just 30 yards from the friendly and excellent pub! You may need to bring your own corkscrew, and it's worth knowing the wifi connection details before you arrive as there's no phone signal for getting online when you get there.

Had a lovely stay at Byre Cottage. Had everything we needed and the location was beautiful.
