Location was fine just a short walk from centre of Kirkbymoorside, and street parking outside propert was very useful. Bedrooms and bathrooms on both floors very good with enormous double beds and good showers. No mention in property details about the tight, steep and winding staircase access to 1st & 2nd floors. Both in our late 60's, my wife and I found accessing the bedrooms more than a little challenging. The property details should highlight that anyone with mobility issues could find this an issue. Also, on arrival, the property felt very cold, and when we tried operating the hand held heating control there was no power to the control unit despite repeated attempts. I contacted # Booking.com by telephone and was asked if I could maybe go to shops and purchase new batteries ! However on a Saturday evening in a strange town I said that I did not know if there were local shops open, and also that we were going out to dinner. I was then asked if I could try replacing the batteries with those from the TV remote, which I had already tried but they were a different size. We eventually obtained batteries later that evening from a late night garage and got the heating working. Finally no window coverings in rear of living room, which was open to public access. Also no window coverings in either bathroom which was visible from outside properties.
