Although the place is well located for exploring the Yorkshire Moors and has all the listed amenities, we were overall quite disappointed by the stay. Firstly be aware of the security deposit taken by Host and Stay for the stay- £260 additional was taken from my account prior to arrival and I will apparently get £250 of this back 7 days after checking out. This is not something I've experienced with other air b n bs. On arrival, the property was unfortunately not very clean. It had been cleaned since the last stay but that was clearly a while ago as there was a build up of dust and debris throughout the property which I ended up having to clean myself. Finally the furniture is quite cheap and wobbly and there is nowhere for 4 people to sit and eat which was disappointing.
on the plus side the showers were powerful and as stated it was a good location.
Fantastic location, spotless, decor was beautiful and felt really homely
A small Christmas tree or decoration, with it being the Christmas period before New year
Lovely cottage, great location for local attractions very cosy and the beds are super comfortable.
There were 4 of us in our party but there were only 3 bar stools - so made eating together tricky. Just missing a few basics in the kitchen like an oven glove and salt/pepper. Access to the Wi-Fi would have been even better.
Thank you so much - it was perfect!
The property is lovely and modern in a beautiful, quiet location & very clean.
It does say that the key box is located at the front door but is at the rear of the property & we struggled to find it initially in the dark. Also it says the property has Wi-Fi but no code/ password is given.
Also if you want to eat in the property, for 4 adults you would struggle as there isn’t a table & chairs. Just 3 bar stools.
We found it clean , warm and comfortable . Pretty much what we had expected and hoped for .
There was nothing not to like about Dale End .
The cottage was clean and comfortable, really nice position and the village is beautiful, thoroughly recommend the George and Dragon in the village.
I had to contact the office for the key box number, and was not told the box was round the back of the cottage, and I kept getting the same email day after day. The cottage could do with an information sheet, internet code, and eating recommendations etc.
Great place, and great location for walking. Plenty of space for 2 couples.
We had a lovely time and the cottage was well located and we enjoyed our stay. We do however have some feedback which we have shared privately.
The location was great
Nicely decorated throughout , massive beds
Shower was great,
Dishwasher was really handy , plus a decent fridge freezer
Also pet friendly
Really Uncomfortable sofa .
No garden
Parking was basically pot luck
Not much choice of utensils in the kitchen basically a wooden spoon, spatula, and tin opener
On the upside good excuse not to cook
Clean, comfortable bed, good shower
WiFi not available to guests. Total lack of basic condiments (ie salt/pepper). No where to hang hand washing to dry. Chairs in lounge not very comfortable. Key box was difficult to operate.
Clean, top quality bathrooms, bedrooms, bed linen, lovely central location to all local attractions
Not much of a garden very small
No wifi and very early check out
Big comfortable beds, everything you'd expect from a whole property rental.
Few little things which I've fed back directly to the property manager but nothing that wouldn't just be a nice to have.
We had a wonderful stay! The house was like new - beautifully decorated, clean and cosy! Good location with lots in close driving distance. Good local pubs for food in walking distance.
Great place. All very comfortable. Quality furnishings and fabulous beds! Showers both have excellent water pressure. Good for a work stay.
First time we have rented a holiday home. Dog friendly and all attractions close by.
