The property is well-connected by road. You can easily access the A421 and M1 motorway, which are both within a short drive. The M1 provides routes to London (about an hour and a half) and other major cities, while the A421 connects you to Bedford and other surrounding areas. Milton Keynes Central Railway Station is approximately a 10-minute drive away. From there, you can catch direct trains to London Euston (about 35 minutes), Birmingham, and other destinations. Local bus services are available with stops nearby. Buses connect you to Milton Keynes city center and other areas, offering a convenient option for getting around without a car. The Walnut Tree area is pedestrian-friendly, with local amenities such as shops, parks, and restaurants within walking distance. When you arrive at the property, there is parking on the street outside of the property. Please do not use the driveway as this is required by the owners of the main house. Once parked, you will see two lock boxes on the side of the property by the gate. The keys are in the left-hand side lock box. Please use the code sent in the check in message / email to open the key safe. Once you have taken the keys out of the key safe, use one of the keys to go through the gate, please lock the gate behind you. Once you have gone through the gate, the doors to the annex are on the left.
This annex was perfectly located and well appointed for my short business trip to Milton Keynes. As others have said the very narrow spiral staircase is quite steep and wont be suitable for some, and I also found it odd that there was no way to turn the upstairs lights on from downstairs and vice versa (not that I found anyway). As the annex is a part of the owner's home you will hear them going about their daily business through the locked adjoining doors in the kitchen and bedroom, but this was never too late or too early. Overall I had a pleasant stay.
