The Space
Shaftsbury is a colourful and characterful property.

Located on the ground floor of the building, the apartment features a large, open-plan living and dining area. The living area features two comfortable sofas, an electric fire and a wall-mounted, flat-screen TV.

The dining area features a wooden dining table and matching benches, the perfect space to allow all guests to dine together, whether you have cooked at home or ordered in.

The master bedroom at Shaftsbury features a zip & link bed, which allows guests to choose their preferred bed option; a king or two singles.

The second bedroom is a single room, ideal if you are travelling with children or a guest who prefers privacy.

The bathroom is a simple and bright space. There is a bath with an overhead shower, WC and basin for all guests to use.

A washing machine is also provided for your convenience.

Shaftsbury is the ideal choice if you are looking for a comfortable short break, or a longer stay with easy access to larger towns and cities.

For this reason, we require all our guests to transfer a Damage Deposit (refundable, subject to an administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.

Burton Joyce is located 7 miles east of Nottingham city, this thriving riverside village has a wide selection of independent coffee shops, pubs and food outlets, meaning you have everything you could need on your short break, on your doorstep.

The property is a short walk from three great pubs, one of which is The Nelson. It offers a wide range of beverages and goes the extra mile with culinary delights, with the breakfast deserving a special mention.

With many local attractions close by, an adventurous itinerary is never far away.
Colwich Country Park is just a couple of miles from Burton Joyce, it’s a great spot for walks, picnics, or even lake swimming.

Gedling Country Park is just 4 miles away and offers scenic views and excellent play areas. Activities including a sky trail and lagoon wipe-out obstacle course can be found at the brilliant Holme Pierrepont Country Park, and for sports enthusiasts there are football pitches, cricket grounds and golf courses in the vicinity.

Getting Around
Burton Joyce is the perfect commuter village for Nottingham which sits to the east, between Stoke Bardolph to the South and Bulcote to the North-East.

Burton Joyce benefits from excellent local transport links into Nottingham and other nearby locations – the village has a train station from which you can catch an 11-minute service into the city centre or a 37-minute journey north to the picturesque market town of Newark-on-Trent.

There’s a frequent bus service from Burton Joyce to Nottingham and with the A46 just a few minutes from the village, Leicester and Lincoln are both within commuting distance, too.
