The cottage was very nice. Very clean, great location, no complaints at all with it.<br/><br/>There was no power for 24 hours. This isnt the hosts fault and is probably 1 in a million, however there was no support from the hosts or from the host and stay staff. I would have expected something. The staff didnt even know when i phoned them and thought it might just be a fuse box issue... it obviously wasnt. Lucky i had a power pack or we wouldnt have had sat nav the next day so wouldnt have been able to travel anywhere which would have completely ruined the trip.

Good communication, very clean and overall lovely place to stay for a local wedding we attended. Perfect for what we needed.

We had an absolutely brillant time. Responsive and helpful hosts. We got greated with a lovely welcome card and a bix of chocolates. Well equipped kitchen to good your full cooked breakfast on the morning and a grwat outdoor space to seat in the sun and wild flowers. The area is quiet and the people who ives there are very welcoming and friendly. Would recommend for a weekend away.

Our stay at homelea cottage was very nice everything was clean and well presented! Host also added a little gift upon entrance which was nice!<br/>Thank you

Beautiful cottage with fire, in quiet countryside location. Perfect little get away

Lovely little cottage, lockton is beautiful too.

Sweet little cottage in a great location. Just to note there is only a bath- no shower- but didn’t bother us. The company also asks for a separate deposit outside of Airbnb so just an FYI as it’s a bit of a hidden cost!

We had a lovely stay at Holmlea in the peaceful surroundings of Lockton. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped. The village is in a lovely peaceful location amongst the stunning North Yorkshire Moors. The village is well located for day trips to Whitby and Pickering as well as walking across the moors. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Probably the best Airbnb experience I’ve had. This place is picture perfect and filled with tonnes of thoughtful touches. Well equipped and spotless throughout, all in a stunning location. The only drawback is no shower but it was honestly such a lovely stay that we barely minded!

We had a lovely weekend. The cottage is perfectly situated, cosy and comfortable. It was very clean and had everything we needed. We would definitely recommend it for a short break in the area.

Stunning little cottage . Comfortable furniture. Spotlessly clean. Very well .equipped kitchen. Welcome card, chocolates and milk on arrival. Highly recommended for a peaceful stress free stay

Lovely relaxing weekend staying here! Gorgeous cottage in the countryside. Highly recommend the tea room down the road.

Nice cottage sitting dining room fine. Easytopark outside. Garden would have been OK if weather had allowed us to go in it. Quiet village. Not much in the village though (No shops etc). Very unhappy with the requirement by host and stay for a deposit. They give you the option to pay to leave a deposit or to insure against a loss. This wasn't obvious when booking and seems non negotiable along with giving personal information to the 3rd party who administer it.<br/><br/>No shower and bathroom very low cieling in loft. No washing machine particularly as advertised for walking holidays when it can be essential. Bedroom quite small.

Lovely cottage and a great get away.

A beautiful cottage great garden excellent overall

Hele fijne authentieke cottage in mooi Moors dorpje. Van alle gemakken voorzien. Ideale uitvalsbasis voor mooie wandelingen en bezoeken van highlights van de North York Moors

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in Homlea cottage- it was in a beautiful and peaceful area which suited us perfectly and near to Whitby and Pickering. The cottage was spotlessly clean and all the furnishings and fittings were of a very good standard. Would definitely come back again

N/a<br/><br/>No shower - by day 3 I was done with baths - having said that it filled reasonably quick & plenty hot water

We absolutely loved this cottage - it had such a comfy feel and the best and most sensibly equipped kitchen of Airbnb we've ever used. Didn't take in that there was shower when we booked but it wasn't an issue having baths. Check their photo provided on booking help you spot the right property as the maps were a little inaccurate. Hoping to go back to Holmlea for a longer stay in future!

Beautiful cottage in a lovely peaceful village. Exactly what we were hoping for.

Lovely cottage in a very pretty village that was perfect for a weekend getaway, with easy access to Pickering and the Dales. Very clean and nice garden. <br/><br/>Only reason we have given it a 4 instead of a 5 is because of the issues we had accessing the property. Check in is remote, with the keys kept in a key safe box attached to the property. Host & Stay shared the code for the lock with us before check in, but it wasn't working when we tried it. Rang Host & Stay, who weren't overly helpful - simply told us it was 'definitely the right code' and we should keep trying as the maintenance team were too far away to come and help. Turns out the code they'd given us was wrong by one digit, which we only found out by chance as we were twisting the numbers. In the end, it took us about 30 minutes to get in. We would have been completely stuck if we hadn't stumbled across the code.

well equipped kitchen.<br/>Lots of information on property and local area<br/><br/>we would have liked a little more hanging space in bedroom

Everything, lovely accent a lovely village..close to some very lovely walking routes and Dalby forest. Perfect for a relaxing break. Accommodation was immaculate and clean<br/><br/>The auto email facility is a nightmare, even after my contact details were provided after booking, continued to get emails stating awaiting detail update., then auto replies.

Lovely, cosy, spotlessly clean cottage. peaceful location with a very good pub 3 mts drive away. Enjoyed visiting Scarborough castle, cycling the Cinder path, and beautiful, science walks.

lovely place to stay!

Immaculate, cosy, beautifully decorated, ideal location, so quiet, and yet so ideally located! Very comfy bed! <br/>Kitchen was spot on and it was effortless to cook full meals as if at home. I went for a weekend of complete rest so didn’t go far - Hole of Horcrum for a bracing walk and a mooch round Pickering as I NEEDED scones! I will be back at some point, no doubt!

Enjoyed our stay, beautiful village and lovely cottage. Very clean, cosy and had everything you need.

This property was just what we needed for a short break. It was a home away from home. Tea, coffee and milk were provided and much appreciated. The cottage was cosy and welcoming and ideally located for the trips we wanted to do. We would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone who wanted to visit this area.

Amazing little cottage, well located for walking and a visit into Pickering. We were attending a beer festival and had no problems getting taxis in and out of Lockton. Well equipped kitchen and lovely log burner.

Really cute cottage. Perfect, picturesque location with an amazing tea room nearby for breakfast and lunch and cake. Cottage was comfy with everything we needed - very well equipped kitchen. The place was spotlessly clean. Chocolates and welcome card from the owners were a nice touch.<br/><br/>Too many emails/messages from Host and Stay in the lead up to the holiday, but I’m sure this wouldn’t bother other people.

Self catering. Nice quiet location. Great base for exploring the surrounding areas.

Lovely stay at this clean & comfortable cottage with easy parking. A good location for walking, the coast & p!aces of interest. A nice touch was the personal note & chocolates plus milk in the fridge. Thank you.

Such a beautiful cottage in an amazing village that has good access to the Moors, coast and York. Hosts were lovely and communication was quick.

Quality of furnishings<br/><br/>Location map needs amending slightly to pinpoint house

Clean, comfortable, smart. Perfect location. Beautiful property.

Our stay was during the hottest period of the month (temperatures of 39/40) lovely and cool in the

We had a lovely time in this adorable cozy cottage with beautiful roads out towards the coast and the adorable gallery coffee shop made for a stunning breakfast spot. Would definitely recommend

Wonderful cottage in a picturesque village with wonderful tearooms and idyllic views everywhere. Perfect for relaxing and unwinding. For us though we did miss not having a shower, but that isn’t a reason not to go. Would recommend.

A super little cottage in a lovely quiet village yet only 10 minutes drive from Pickering. It was spotlessly clean and had very nice quality furnishings, towels and bed linen. It looked like everything was new. The hosts had provided some little extras in the kitchen, such as teabags, coffee washing-up liquid, foil etc which were appreciated. And the milk and chocs were a nice surprise.<br/><br/>Nothing really: a king size bed would have been nice but we appreciate that space is at a premium in this little cottage. The link I was sent for "the exact location of the cottage" took me to a house 400 yards away so this needs to be corrected. Luckily I remembered that the photos showed a phone box outside the cottage so we found it after a short drive back.

Lovely cottage and location. Perfect for a short break. Very clear instructions/ communications

I would definitely recommend this home to anyone who is looking for a gorgeous, quiet, modern cottage to stay here (I have already recommended to so many friends and family). The town of Lockton is stunning and the perfect place for one of the best sleeps we have had. The cottage has so many traditional features but with a perfect modern kitchen and style. I could not recommend this place more, the photos are exactly as the home is. And I would definitely recommend breakfast or lunch at the Lockton Tearooms!

Lovely and very clean cottage, very nice little village with local coffee shop/cafe. Loved the log burner.<br/><br/>The bed was quite uncomfortable, lack of space to hang clothes.

Lovely little cottage in a very pretty village. Even left some chocolates for us on arrival.

This is a lovely cottage in all respects . An exceptional deal and we will return.

Gorgeous little cottage in a great location! The place was spotless and had everything you could possibly need. <br/>Would definitely stay here again!

The property was not in the location shown on the web site. There is no High street in Lockton or Levisham. I called the number provided days before we set out, and spoke to a female who did not seem to know anything aout the property, after checking she gave me an incorrect address at the other side of the village. The phone number provided is only availale mon- fri office hours only--pretty useless when your booked in from Sunday and cant find the place! <br/>The house is very small, no wardrobe or draws, and the bedroom is very small with no space to put a suitcase, we had to keep it in the living room. The bathroom too is incredibly small and without a shower. <br/>There was a carton of milk in the fridge, with a use by date of 7th June ( a week ahead ). When we opened it it was addled, probably 51 weeks old. There are no shops within miles. <br/>The nearest pub, the fox and rabbit, only serves with a reservation, even at 6.30pm on a wet Tuesday evening, and the pub in Levisham is only open at weekends. But there is a good pub, the New Inn, with good food 5 miles away in Thornton le Dale.

We loved how clean and homely the house was. The sofa was so comfy. We slept so well, no noise just birds tweeting away and the odd farm animal. The house has everything you need. They had tea and coffee in the kitchen. We arrived to a lovely hand written note and east eggs on the table. The home is easy to find and central to everything. There is a nice tea room down the street, well worth a visit. A little garden to sit out in at the back on a bench. The neighbours over the road had cute dogs that liked watching us out of the window. We definitely will be coming back again.
