Excellent stay <br/>Thank you<br/>Lovely living area with the 3 large windows <br/> Location right in the midst of the main area for cafes and independent shops

The space, layout and location were perfect. There was everything we needed during our stay.<br/><br/>The only minor grumbles the bed sheets were too short and the duvets a bit thin and not wide enough. There was a significant draft from the extraction fan in the dining /lounge space. The shower in the en-suite fused after each use. None of which spoiled the stay

Artsbank Apartment exceeded our expectations on all accounts, the photographs just didn’t do it justice. You wanted for nothing and the place was immaculate. I would unequivocally recommend Artsbank Apartment to anybody.

Apartment was very good but requires more and better lounge seating.

Great location and renovated building, apartment light and spacious.<br/>Its my second time to stay, clean, good beds.<br/>Just little disappointed to see no real maintenance mould in the silicone in the showers.<br/>Lack of the most basic kitchen utensils, most pans unusable as Teflon scraped off, Two wine glasses etc for four adults, we bought some from Sainsburys across he road.<br/>Cafe next door is fab 'The real food company' and also 'Rapps' again a few doors away highly recomend to eat, Great staff

Saltburn is a beautiful place, and the Artsbank apartment was really well located for the beach and local shops. Initial impression on entering the apartment was good-looked like the photos, lovely high ceilings and lots of light. <br/>I was disappointed with the poor attention to detail. The apartment was described as ‘luxury’, and for the price paid I think that’s a stretch. <br/>Previous reviews describe grubby sealant round showers. Still an issue. The shower in the en suite leaked everywhere because the door seal was broken at the bottom. The kitchen was poorly stocked. No oven gloves, limited cookware, few<br/>glasses. As lovely as it was to have a coffee machine to use, the only cups suitable for use with it were too large to fit underneath. <br/>I don’t think it’s acceptable to spring a surprise breakages deposit on guests and fail to upkeep the property when these things are continuously raised by guests. They’re small things which would make a big difference.

Artsbank Apartment, Saltburn-on-sea is a true gem. The facilities are quality, the space and feel is fabulous. We had a 2 night stay and we were not disappointed. Communication with the hosting company was excellent. Can’t wait to stay again….it’s going to be a regular one for me :-)

What a lovely apartment a few minutes walk from the beach with small cafes and wine bars on the same road. The apartment itself was lovely. Large bedrooms and lovely living dining kitchen. The view from all of the windows made the walk to the third floor worth it.

Nice 3 nights in Saltburn. Apartment spot on and bang in center of high street. 4 flights of steps to access apartment but warned in advance so we knew what to expect, loads of shops bars and restraurants within minutes walk.

The location was great. Close to some top places to eat and drink. A short walk to the cliff top and beach..20 minutes drive to Staithes for a visit.<br/><br/>Everything worked for us. Nothing of note on the negative side.

The apartment is lovely and in a great location. It was clean and well decorated. We did however, feel like it was quite expensive. <br/>Host and Stay come across as impersonal. There were lots of signs stating rules (4 as soon as you enter). We received multiple messages throughout the stay about reporting damage and reminding us to check out. This made us feel unwelcome. <br/>There were items missing, like oven gloves and washing up liquid, this made it challenging to cook in the kitchen. the check in and check out are later and earlier than most and had no flexibility. <br/>We are unhappy about paying the £25 for insurance. We have never had to do this on air BnB and on top of an expensive property, this seems excessive and unnecessary. We knew that we would have to pay this upon booking, we struggled to find a property that isn't managed by this company. <br/>For us, this isn't what we look for in air BnB and we won't be booking a property managed by this company again.

It’s not made clear when booking with Host & Stay that ‘all reservations need to have a damage waiver in place, or a damage deposit held prior to arrival’. Only after this payment will they send all check-in details. The demand is made a couple of weeks prior to the arrival date. It’s either £25 damage waiver (non refundable), or £250 security deposit (£240 refunded - £10 admin charge). Because of this policy we will never book accommodation which is managed by Host & Stay again.

Artsbank apartment was exactly as described on the website.<br/>A contemporary feel to the place and well situated for the cafes/ bistros/bars in the town centre.<br/>Issues with cleaning however.<br/>Worktops in the kitchen were sticky, mirror in main room and internal windows also. Visibly greasy.<br/>Minor issues with maintenance in bathroom.<br/>Sealant around bath needs replacing due to blackening over time with use, as does the shower screen bath seal needs removing and cleaning.<br/>Just observations that would make this place that little more to the rating it deserves.<br/>That said, it didn’t detract too much from a really pleasant stay. We would recommend and would come back without hesitation.<br/>P.S. Beds were so comfy!!

An excellent stay in a pleasant airy apartment. The only problem we had was checking in. The location of the key safe is far from clear and staff in the adjacent shop mentioned that many people had problems finding the key safe. A photo of the key safe location would have helped. It was also very difficult to open the key safe, the buttons needing to be pressed well in to the face plate.

Great location in the centre of Saltburn. <br/>Spacious apartment with plenty of room for two couples.<br/><br/>The tiles in the onsuite bathroom are damaged.<br/>There was a dirty/mouldy chopping board in one of the kitchen cupboards.<br/>The living area could do with another sofa or comfy chair - there is a 3person sofa and separate chair. The separate chair is hard and not comfortable after a while.

Had a lovely stay at the Artsbank apartment. It was a lovely temperature when we walked in, which was very needed in the cold and wet weather. It is a great size - perfect for our weekend getaway. The linen was extremely clean and the bath and shower rooms were lovely. It makes your holiday so much nicer when you can indulge in a lovely warm bath and powerful shower. Thank you - we will definitely stay again.

What a lovely spot for a weekend getaway! Saltburn is home to me as I'm from Skelton and I was in the area visiting my parents with a friend. Host was incredibly proactive at sending helpful information and instructions throughout for our arrival, stay and departure. The flat itself was so nice, super bright spaceous and clean. We each had our own comfy bedrooms & bathrooms stocked with plenty of amenities. The flat is about a 10 minute walk from door to beach and is conveniently located right next to the train station/supermarket. Glad I found this place. Will definitely be staying again in future! One tiny feedback is some smaller espresso cups for the coffee machine as the current mugs don't fit under the drip :)

Enjoyed a few days break in lovely apartment in the centre of Saltburn By The Sea. Close to all amenities - shops, places to eat/drink and fabulous coastal walks. Well equipped and comfortable apartment which enabled us to relax and settle as soon as we walked through the door.

Very smart and spacious apartment, lovely and light, carpets were positively luxurious. Very comfy beds. Massive fridge and freezer. Excellent wifi.<br/><br/>The kitchen was well equipped however it was let down by there not being quite enough cutlery and wine glasses, no oven gloves and a fairly random supply of saucepans and bits and bobs. The shower in the en-suite was not as good as the one in the other bathroom! Be careful you don’t slip on the doormat by the flat’s front door.

Second stay here. Great, convenient location near the station and in the middle of eating places and local shops. A few minutes walk to the beach. Very clean.

Which is a bit tight to be honest. 3pm is more than reasonable. <br/>Also the indemnity fee is very unnecessary. It adds £25 each time we book as we travel with small children and don’t want to part with £250 (and a £10 admin fee ?)that we potentially won’t get back.

Location, lovely bar and real stone baked pizza restaurant just 30 seconds walk away. Everything u need for a friends/family break. Nice and warm, great shower and comfy beds. Would definete stay again.<br/><br/>Location, location location....

Artsbank apartment was in a great location, easily assemble to pubs, restaurants, sea front and supermarket.<br/>The apartment is beautifully spacious, there were a number of issues that were raised whilst we were there, a number of windows were very drafty and the airvent in lounge diner was blowing a gale.<br/>We found there wasn't adequate cooking supplies - very sparce crockery and cutlery, pots and pans.<br/>The standard of cleanliness wasn't upto high end accommodation advertised. Seals around both shiweres were dirty, bathtub had scum mark around. Light fittings in lounge - diner very dusty, plus tv and small table not dusted.<br/>There was no token of reimbursement of any money just an apology and the company will deal with it and thanks for raising these issues.<br/>The cleaning fee is steep and thz checkin and out timings are on the mean side. I did request a later checkout but was told they were unable to honour due to hugh standard of cleaning regime and cleaning schedule!!

Very stylishly furnished and not cluttered. Fantastic location. Good linen and towels.<br/><br/>There is not enough crockery. You need at least 8 of everything. Not enough small glasses, wine glasses and small bowls.<br/>You could do with a large platter plate and small tapas bowls.

We, 4 adults, stayed in the lovely apartment and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. It is a spacious apartment. I had previously called host and stay with a question that I had and reached them immediately and was helped! Great service. <br/>The apartment is so close to the train station and the restaurants are very very close by. Would recommend and come again. Just make sure to bring warm clothes during the colder months, as the apartment was a bit drafty and the rooms were a bit chilly.

We loved staying at Artsbank apartment. It was so comfortable and airy! Also really appreciated the coffee machine! We will stay again!

Overall lovely place no real issues. Very clean and modern. Just beware there’s no lift so the stairs can get tiring if your up and down alot. The key box is on the other side of a little wall which took us a while to find. But other then that it was perfectly fine

Lovely place to stay (once you actually get inside), but beware of the hidden insurance cost they hit you with which leaves a bad taste.

Beautiful building with enough space inside and very well laid out. <br/>Close to local amenities and great restaurants and bars. <br/>Close to the beach from which is fantastic.<br/>The beds and linen were great too.<br/>The carpets really need replacing they are heavily stained.<br/>Also the silicone needs replacing in the bathrooms and kitchen, it has turned brown and doesn’t look appealing. <br/>A suggestion for the living room would also be a more comfortable sofa, you can only really sit bolt upright on it.<br/>Overall good and we will definitely use the place again. ??

Lovely spacious apartment. Location is great for both town and the beach. Some noise in the Main Street when the bars close but doesn’t go on too late. Hard to find the key safe as it’s not by the door you enter the building. We visit Saltburn regularly and would stay again.

The space, the building, the location.<br/><br/>The bedroom and entrance carpet had staines on them which should have been removed and the light over the table did not work. These details make a difference to the quality of the study.

Lovely spacious modern apartment, with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Ideally situated for restaurants, pubs, and the beach, the funicular railway is well recommended, especially for the return trip from the beach. There is a medium sized Sainsburys across the road from the apartment, and the railway station is behind Sainsburys.

Saltburn is a beautiful place, and we kept ourselves fit by walking everywhere including the steep steps down to the beach.<br/>The apartment was in a brilliant location in a street with lots of local shops, bars and places to eat. It is also right next to a supermarket and the train station. The seafront was only 5 mins walk and then another 5 up and down the hill or you could use the cliff railway which was fun.<br/>The apartment itself was lovely. The building was clean and inside was bright with windows all around. Modern open plan kitchen, nice size bedrooms (one en suite) and another bathroom. <br/>Parking free in the street outside. <br/>Very dog friendly area. And great Fish n Chips at lots of places. There is a small bar a few doors down at No 23 and they did amazing pizza and beers. <br/>Not a far away drive to Staithes or Whitby. <br/>Would absolutely recommend and hope to come back in the future.

Lovely place, over looking the high street. Was a little noisy from people upstairs and on the street but nothing too crazy. Comfy beds, milk and coffee pods on arrive which were much appreciated! <br/>One bathroom smelt of damp and there were a few things missing - only one wine glass, cafetière broken - which I wouldn’t mention if it weren’t for the large damage deposit / insurance - so would expect these things to have been replaced.<br/>Could do with a few local / homely touches but other then that and the above a nice stay!

Location was great - stairs was a little tough and the Unit number should be on the door. Tried to get into the unit below by accident - luckily they weren't in. Communication with the mngr was great via the app. Good to have reminders.<br/><br/>The beds were not very comfortable. The bed on the second room had legs off and caused problems. I think that another arm chair would have been good as there were 4 of us and the settee is always difficult with 3 people.

We had some challenges with this stay. This began with the need to communicate outside the Airbnb platform (via email and text messaging) and the required insurance payment and extra paperwork. <br/>Upon arrival, we had some challenges locating the door and lockbox because the store mentioned in the directions is no longer in business/sign is gone. We found the apartment to be full of natural light and quiet overall, but unfortunately, that was hard to enjoy because of the stained and gritty carpets, furniture, and some other cleanliness issues.<br/>We were in touch with the management company, but we still don't feel able to recommend using this company.

A lovely apartment in a great location for exploring the Yorkshire Coast.

Apartment was in a fabulous location, walking distance to everything and was lovely and spacious. Perfect for our two night stay exploring Saltburn however only down side was the carpets were quite stained throughout.

Had a lovely stay at the Artsbank apartment. Clear instructions. Had a minor issue which was communicated to Host & Stay. They are very responsive even on weekends. Excellent location only 5 minutes to the beach. On street parking with no time limits.<br/>Just an FYI the shop next door has changed so don’t look for Ollie B’s as it’s now called Robes.

My sister and I were walking some of the Cleveland Way. This was the perfect base to do some of the coastal sections.

Spacious, light, airy. Great location. Near to the train station, shops, places to ear and a short stroll to the promenade. Really good showers. Comfortable beds. Lovely clean bathrooms.<br/>Had to call the team on a Friday night due to faulty smoke detector and was visited promptly (1 hour wait only) to solve the issue. Thank you as it would have been difficult to sleep and would have also disturbed the neighbours.<br/><br/>Stains on carpets, we suggest getting the vac spot wash duo. No drawers in the bedrooms for clothes and only 5 coat hangers in each bedroom. Kitchen cupboard and fridge grime around the handles - did clean them ourselves along with some dirty cups in the cupboard. Minor things as we still enjoyed our stay.

a really gorgeous confortable beds and furniture, gorgeous kitchen (just didn't have enough dish towels, washing up cloths and mugs, other than that, simply perfect. Washing machine was great, as we had friends staying from abroad, and they needed to do washing. Full dishwasher is great, as you can put everything in and not worry about having to wash dishes. We took our own coffee making equipment - mocha pot, plunger etc. it was fairly noisy in the lounge from the road below, but the bedrooms weren't bad. Saltburn itself if utterly GORGEOUS, especially in the sunshine!

Great location, a few minutes from Saltburn railway station. Spacious and stylish interior. Minimalist furnishing, I didn't have to worry about my toddler grabbing ornaments and things. Bright and airy, a little too bright in the bedrooms due to thin curtains. Overall, an lovely place to stay.

The apartment was superbly appointed and beautifully clean. Spacious and brilliantly positioned for local shops, cafés, bars and restaurants, the apartment provided excellent access to both the town and seafront. High quality fittings, furnishings and appliances. Perfect for two couples. Would highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay here - it’s very well-located, close to shops, bars and restaurants and a short walk to the beach. Despite that, we didn’t find it at all noisy. The apartment is spacious but perhaps not quite as luxurious as the photos suggest - the carpets are stained in quite a few places and the bathrooms are a bit tired, but nothing that detracts from the stay. The cleaning could also have bit a bit more thorough. But all in a nice place to stay that was good value for money. Good communication from the hosts. Would stay again.

The apartment if well located, easy walk to beach and shops/restaurants. It is light bright, spacious, attractive and clean inside and it good value for money.<br/><br/>The instructions regarding the location of the lock box need to be changed as it was not obvious (on the far side of the wall to the right of the front door) and there were a few issues in the kitchen (broken coffee plunger, blunt knives (if you like cooking), light bulbs out and no replacements, which we contacted host about and are easily rectified for the next guests. Otherwise, we had a lovely stay in Saltburn.

So modern and clean! <br/>Very impressed all round and great communication from the Hosts. <br/>Beds are sooooo comfy and shower was amazing!!<br/><br/>The only thing I could find a fault with was that I just thought the property wasnt well advertised once we’d got there… key safe location was fine but confusing once in main door - could maybe do with a small notice to say inside building where the apartment is located. <br/>HOWEVER THIS COULD HAVE BEEN MENTIONED IN AN EMAIL THAT I WAS UNABLE TO OPEN!

We had a loveky stay and when next in Saltburn will be staying here again.

Spent 4 nights in Saltburn and loved the town and the apartment. As two couples with a two bed two bath apartment we had almost everything we needed. The only thing lacking was a shortage of drawer space in the bedrooms for socks etc. and no hooks for outdoor coats. Spotless, great location and everything we needed in the kitchen. Parking on the road outside was no problem and the apartment itself very quiet. Great base for exploring the surrounding areas with a fabulous selection of quality bars and restaurants. Sainsbury’s was across the road so no need to load the car up pre journey. The Seaview restaurant is a must and the craft beer bar two doors down very welcoming. Would stay again. <br/>Be aware of last minute additional cost for breakage insurance £25 or you could have a £200 hold on your credit card but that incurs a £10 admin charge,

The apartment was spacious, well equipped and in a brilliant location. <br/>The bed was really comfortable.<br/><br/>The amount of messages I received prior to staying at the apartment was off putting. I booked the apartment which was over £250 for 2 nights. I was then told that I must pay either another £25 damage waiver or £250 plus a £10 admin fee for damages. I duly filled out the requested forms only to be asked multiple times to complete them, even though I had done and messaged to tell them. <br/>When we got to the property there were a number of signs around the apartment telling us to take our shoes off and not to let our child run up and down the hall. <br/>I completely understand that the owner wants the apartment to be looked after but I found the extra money and all the messages about being careful, clean and quiet very off putting. It did not make me feel particularly welcome or relaxed which I should have done when spending £250 for 2 nights.

Beautiful apartment, really well decorated and furnished, spotless on arrival and in a great location. The hosts were really good in their communication and access to the apartment was really easy. Parking is on street but free all day / night.

lovely big open plan living space, huge fridge, good smart tally<br/><br/>few things missing in the kitchen such a tea towels and a French press. when we arrive the travel cot we requested wasn’t set up, after half an hour of struggling to set it up we realised it was broken. a quick phone call and they brought us a new one out which was great, but the hassle would have been saved if it was set up for us in the first place. there was also no additional towel despite the addition of the travel cot so I just ended up sharing with my baby, again not a big deal but something that could be easily fixed.

Good little apartment, great location over the road to Sainsbury’s and railway station. No parking but free to park on roads around apartment and never too busy to find space, summer ? Great location for beach, 5 min stroll at bottom of road to cable car to promenade. Great bars below apartment but never noisy, loved NO. 23, pizzas were lovely. Staithes within 20 mins by car, COD and lobster there food great and fresh. All in all good apartment great location handy for everything. On 2nd floor no lift so stairs to use.

Centrally located near the train station. Apartment is up 2 flights if stairs and is equipped with very good quality fixtures and fittings. Very comfortable bed. It was perfect for us as a couple with a small dog.<br/>Whilst some cafes were closed due to it being just after new year still plenty of places to eat and have a drink nearby.<br/>Saltburn is a really nice Victorian seaside town with fantastic walks on its doorstep. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay

We loved Saltburn and we especially loved the Artsbank apartment. It was well furnished, with top quality bedding and towels and was spotlessly clean. It’s in a great location, being handy for everything and we were able to park the car right outside. We will definitely be back!

Gorgeous apartment. Really clean and great interior. Quite loud in the evenings due to location being next door to a bar but not much of an issue. 10 minute walk to the beach.

This is a lovely spacious and stylish apartment on the main street in Saltburn. We had a really lovely stay. We slept very well as the beds were comfortable and it was so quiet. It's only about a 5 minute walk to the beach and pier. There's a Sainsburys over the road and plenty of free parking. The flat is on the second floor so lots of stairs. We would love to stay again.

It’s a nice place to stay if you don’t mind 3 flights of stairs with your luggage.<br/>It’s situated in an ideal spot, close to the beach with plenty of places to eat and close to a supermarket. Quaint little shops adorn the high street and there’s ample availability to park your car.

We had a great break here. Very clean and well appointed apartment right in the centre of Saltburn. The building itself is beautiful and all of the flats facilities and fittings were really good.

Spacious and modern flat, very well appointed with all conveniences needed. The beds were very comfy, and everything was spotless! The hosts provided timely communication.<br/><br/>Location was excellent, the flat had very close proximity to bars, shops and a short walk to the promenade. <br/><br/>There is a Sainsbury’s less than one minute from the flat, and the free on street parking was easy to take advantage of. It was a touch noisy in the evening, but that was expected being in the town centre, it did not disturb our stay. It didn't affect us, but there is no lift at the property and the flat is up two flights of stairs.

Good location, exceptionally clean and well cared for.

Perfect location for exploring the area, with its wonderful scenery. The apartment is only a few minutes walk from the seafront and opposite the supermarket. Local shops, bars and restaurants are excellent especially “number 23”. On street parking is easy. Very clean and cosy apartment. Would not hesitate to recommend.

The apartment was very attractive, well equipped and clean. Although central is was much quieter than anticipated, and a short walk to the beach. Parking was on-street but we managed to get a spot without fuss and there was no charge. As we arrived on a Sunday there wasn’t much open but we ate in Saltburn on Sunday and Ellerby on Monday (recommended). The apartment would be no good for anyone who has difficulty with stairs as there didn’t seem to be a lift. The communal staircase was well maintained and clean. If in the area would stop again

Wonderful stay at the Artsbank, the apartment was extremely clean and is a close proximity to shops, grocery and the beach.

Communication was good and check in was easy.<br/> <br/>The place is excellently placed within minutes of good food, good drink and the beach. It is stylishly furnished and decorated in a lovely building. It is appointed with decent, modern facilities. The rooms are spacious with plenty of light. <br/><br/>We had a great stay here.

Absolutely great apartment, very stylish and comfortable and a brilliant location.

Excellent accommodation everything is sparkling clean, top spec, beds were so comfortable and the hosts communication was very quick. I have recommended to friends and family and will definitely stay again

Attractive modernised comfortable 2nd floor flat(no lift) in excellent central location near to supermarket and rail station and bars/ pubs/restaurants etc. and can walk to pier/sea front in under 10 mins.<br>Generally well equipped but there is limited storage and kitchen whilst very modern requires some additional cooking equipment eg larger saucepans.<br>Would stay again hopefully in 2021.

Booked this place just the week before we travelled. A little bit dubious as never visited saltburn before, but both the little town and accommodation were lovely. This is a well appointed apartment on the 2nd floor of a lovely old building. 5 minutes to the beach which was a lovely long sandy beach and very clean. Apartment very well furnished, wooden fllors and amazing carpets. Very clean and well equipted kitchen. Sadly we didnt realise there were blinds in the open plan lounge until we were leaving, as it was a very sunny weekend and would have been nice to close them up. We took our dog too (apartment almost too nice for dogs ?) and most of the beach is dog friendly too as well as a few of the restaurants too. Happy days! Would absoultey go back here. Thank you ???
