Emerald Residence

Amazing property right in the heart of Saltburn on Sea. It made a great base for myself and my three adult children and partners spend a week together.<br>The facilities were brilliant and the house was warm and inviting.<br>Loved the town being so near to pop out for a coffee int he morning, supermarket stop and possibly a quick drink in the evening. So convenient. Would love to come back.

We had the loveliest week at Emerald Residence - a brilliant house for multiple family members to stay in (lots of different sleeping options for both adults and kids!), a very short stroll to the sea-front and also hugely convenient for Saltburn Train station (most of us drove up from London, but a grandparent came across the country on the train and found it very easy). It's the sort of house where you know the owner has taken real care (most likely because they lived there themselves at some point) with lots of lovely little touches and, particularly, really well set-up for children. Couldn't recommend this property (and Saltburn) more highly!

Location great. Beds comfortable. Lots to see and do thereabouts. Local restaurants are great.<br/><br/>Smoke alarm defective, oven didn’t work, windows were filthy, central heating didn’t work properly, water heating didn’t work well, kettle was broken, lounge furniture was uncomfortable, bath panel was broken, longe door handle was broken, loo seat was defective.

Big roomy house with light and space and very close to the top of the walk to the beach. <br/>Excellent beds. <br/>Lots of games and books for families. <br/>Nice little garden for sun.<br/>Lots of pans for cooking.<br/><br/>Darker kitchen needs more light. <br/>Oven door tricky and ensuite shower drips. <br/>Could do with another bathroom ideally...<br/><br/>But generally pretty good!

Number 33 is deceptively spacious and easily accommodated our party of 9 plus baby. We did have to bring our own travel cot. It is a short walk to the beach but does involve a lot of steps!

The house was ideally located for Saltburn. Rooms are spacious, simple decoration and all necessary facilities for a family stay.

Our stay had pros and cons.<br/>The house itself is very large, nicely decorated and is well furnished and stocked with kitchen equipment, toys and bedding. It is in a great location walking distance to shops and the beach. We had no issues accessing the property and parking was easy on the road (in July).<br/>However the house was dirty. There were stains on the soft furnishings (covers that could be washed, rugs) and dust everywhere. The main bathroom has no option to open a window (painted shut) and no fan, so it's unsurprising that it's very mouldy, however despite this I feel more effort could have been made to remove mould. The shower curtain was mouldy and the window pane had black mould. The grout and ceiling were also very mouldy. This is a major issue that needs addressing.<br/>The kitchen was also very dirty with food down the gaps between the cooker and the units and dirty utensils.<br/>I can see that issues with cleaning have been previously raised and not addressed, which is concerning.

positives: The house is lovely. The owners have a wonderful place. plenty of space and a great location. <br/>negative:The business who run it, clearly prioritize profit. £200 cleaning fee?! Unavoidable minimum £10 admin fee or £25 damage waiver? :(<br/>The kicker though, the place was quite dirty. Big dog poo in the back yard. Unclean fridge. sandy and stained sofas. hair & food on rugs. dirty bin. grease left on pans. zero flex on checkin time. we sorted it all out ourselves but ...<br/>So so avoidable if the £200 cleaning fee were used properly and guests were given some flex. <br/>The agents reply....you should have complained whilst there (which to be fair we would have done had it no been a birthday event that we didn't want to spoil with having to have a cleaner rock up?!). It's all covered in the t&cs they say. <br/>If you are the owners and reading this...the agent has automatic emails, charges and texts nailed on to perfection. Sadly, they let your home down and seen to be cutting corners.

It was a lovely surprise to find a welcome basket with wine and snacks!<br/>The kitchen had pretty much everything you need to host our family.<br/>We liked it very much, we hope to come back in the near future.<br/>The local supermarket is just round the corner, so are lovely restaurants, coffee shops and bars.<br/>The beach just 10 min walk, it was perfect!

Lovely spacious home with lots of character and style. Owners have great taste. Only minor downside I would say is the lack of ground floor toilet, or more shareable bathrooms. Still a great find though!

Such a lovely spacious property, 7 of us stayed for a weekend away and it was great. The welcome pack was a very nice touch and much appreciated. The kitchen was great, plenty of every item you could possibly need and we loved dining room table for communal meals. <br/>All the bedrooms were spacious and airy and the beds very comfy.<br/>The location of the property was perfect for us being so close to the beach and the town.

Simply amazing ! The property is gorgeous, so much space ! We had 6 adults and 2 toddlers and there was so much room for everyone. Had literally everything we needed ! Beautiful street & town - right by the beach & close to lots of things to do. If you are thinking about booking, don’t hesitate ! Will be booking again in the future !

We had 10 people for several days and the facilities were more than adequate. If we had that number for longer the 2 bathrooms would have been an issue but we managed to ration use for the weekend. there were enough chairs/stools to sit us all, and enough crockery etc. to feed us all.

Lovely stay, good communication to sort out a problem we had. Really enjoyed and will be back.

The decor of the house was gorgeous and there were lovely gifts left for us. A gorgeous Christmas tree and lovely high quality appliances and amenities. Great location really easy to get there from the train station, on street parking and super close to the beach and lovely walks.<br/><br/>For a group of 8 of us sharing 2 bathrooms (one as ensuite) was a little tight, although obviously we knew this would be the case when we booked it!

We had a fantastic 10 day stay. A really beautiful house with pretty much everything you need for a holiday. There were 10 of us (two families of five) plus a dog and the house was comfortably big enough. Beach / shops are all within walking distance. Parking was no problem for the two cars, often able to get a space right outside the front door. We’d highly recommend both Saltburn-by-the-sea as a place to visit, and this accommodation as a place to stay.

This house was absolutely perfect for our family weekend away. The location is amazing - free parking on-street, just a minute away from the beach. We were so lucky with the weather and spent all weekend down there; it was brilliant to be able to walk down in our wetsuits carrying all our beach gear, and pop back if we needed to. All the bedrooms are a great size, the bed linen and towels were spotlessly clean and the hand wash etc supplied were fantastic. We would absolutely love to return and will definitely recommend the property to others. Thank you!!!

Great spot for a family gathering or friend getaway. Loads of space along with generous space for a group. Amenities close while still maintaining the off the beaten path feel. It was just perfect!

Clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The location is the main plus point - just fantastic.<br/><br/>Really don’t want to put anything negative because we had a great time. Only things that could have improved would have been a downstairs toilet and a microwave. Otherwise perfect.

Much and more grand than the pictures represent<br/>Very good communication with easy and simple check-in. <br/>Good recommendations on places to eat and drink (The Gun’s Bar, Alexandra Vaults, No23, The Ship Inn and Signals were a few we tried). We would definitely recommend for a long weekend away!

Such a great spacious and well equipped house in a brilliant location. The beach is at one end of the street with access to the bars and restaurants at the other.

Lovely location, close to the beach. The house was a little noisy as floorboards throughout, but everything else was very well done. The host kindly left a wonderful welcome basket and the rooms were all very clean and tidy. There was a really good selection of toys for the children. A very good holiday for all of the family.

Lovely spacious property in a brilliant location. There are some nice bars and restaurants near by and it’s great being so close to the sea. The property was very clean and was presented to a high standard. We were originally doubtful about the on street parking but this wasn’t an issue and all of us had a great time!

Brilliant stay in Saltburn. The house was perfect for our holiday, right by the coast, only a short walk from the steps to the beach and the arcades, surf shops and fish and chips. The property had everything in that was needed and was perfect for the kids. Thanks so much!

We had a brilliant family get together at this house over new year. There were 8 adults and 2 children & there was plenty of room for everyone. The house is lovely, clean, well equipped and a really short walk to the beach as well as the shops, supermarket, bars and restaurants of Saltburn. We all said we would visit again - would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful family gathering at this property. The photos don't do the property justice and the location was perfect for a nice quiet family gathering by the sea. Plenty of space for 9 of us and all the equipment, furniture and space to have a great family Christmas together.

Fantastic house in a fantastic location within walking distance to the beach, pubs and local facilities. Saltburn itself had a lovely feel with independent shops and bars. The house has all the facilities you could wish for and was the perfect stay for friends, children and our dog. On arrival the check-in process was very simple, the house was clean and plenty of space for our group of 9. Would thoroughly recommend

Thank you for a lovely stay. The house is beautifully curated but cosy. We were a family of 7 adults and 2 young children and there was plenty of space for us all to relax and sit together. The little ones loved discovering the drawer of toys and games.<br/>The sea is so close you can just about to see it from the bay windows. The beach is just a few minutes walk away and is lovely and clean and clear. Saltburn town is small but full of independent shops and friendly people, we loved wandering. We would definitely recommend.

The house is lovely, managing to feel both spacious and cosy. We were a couple with a pooch but the house would comfortably accomodate several more. It's decorated to a high standard and is dog friendly. The welcome basket greeting us on arrival was a particularly nice touch. The location is perfect, being right by the beach and next to local amenities. We would happily return on our next trip to Saltburn.

The house was beautiful. Each room was wonderfully decorated. Would definitely recommend. <br/><br/>Just a note as there was only 2 loo roll for 10 people for 4 days so we had to buy our own. Same with shampoo, body wash, kitchen role and wash cloths.

Beautiful house in a beautiful location with fabulous hosts. I was slightly worried from the pictures that the house would not be child friendly but I was wrong, so many toys available and everything you could need for a family stay.

We've just returned from a wonderful stay at this property. It's a beautiful house finished to the highest standard: tasteful, comfortable and stylish throughout The hosts were wonderful, leaving us generous welcome gifts when we arrived. Saltburn itself has a lovely beach, just a few minutes walk away from the house, and there are lots of things to do for adults and children alike. We would wholeheartedly recommend making this property in Saltburn your next UK holiday destination.

If you are into surfing, rock pooling, messing about at the seaside there cant be many places better placed than this. Literally a stones throw from Saltburns cliff railway (it wasnt working when we were there but it didn't matter as the kids didn't mind the walk to the beach below). <br>Property has most of the things you need and for those that it doesn't have then you can find them in Saltburn. Sainsburys is about 150 yds away. <br>There were 4 adults and 4 children in our party and it was brill!

Fantastic location and a great well equipped house. Literally minutes to a super beach and many shops and cafes on your doorstep. We loved Saltburn.

Great host. Communication was quick and helpful. <br/>Great house with loads of space for 2 families. Clean and well stocked. What a great location! Only a couple of minutes walk to the beach and a few minutes in the opposite direction to shops, cafes and restaurants. Saltburn by the sea is a little hidden gem. I would definitely recommend this place.
