High Street is a characterful property situated in the heart of Skelton-in-Cleveland, just three miles from Saltburn-by-the-Sea. This recently renovated property is located just 100m from the Cleveland way with independent shops and eateries on the doorstep.

This three-bedroom property is ideal for families or friends looking for a stay in North Yorkshire. With a standard occupancy of six, you can increase this to eight with the use of a pull-out trundle bed.

Property Details

The Space
LIVING ROOM
The living room is bright and spacious with views across Skelton high street. The room features pale olive-green walls, natural wooden floors and high ceilings, creating a warm and welcoming space. Enjoy an evening on the sofa watching your favourite show or the latest series. The TV is fitted with a firestick so you can use additional streaming services with your personal accounts.

DINING ROOM
The dining room is furnished with a large wooden dining table and matching chairs. Seating up to six guests you can enjoy home cooked, family meals or enjoy a games night with friends.

KITCHEN
The fully equipped kitchen allows you to make the most of your self-catering stay. The laminated wood style cabinets are complimented with the rustic floor tiles. Featuring an electric oven, hob, air fryer, an integrated fridge-freezer, kettle and microwave you should have everything you need to prepare your meals of choice.

From the kitchen you can step directly into the private yard area. This space is the perfect sun trap to enjoy your morning cuppa or for dining alfresco.

BEDROOM
The three bedrooms at High Street are located on the first floor.

The master bedroom has a natural style with pale green walls, wooden floors, wood laminate wardrobes and drawers and a selection of faux plants. The pull-out trundle bed can be used in this room if you are travelling with children.

The second bedroom is a king room with a cool colour palette. The chest of drawers and hanging space allow you to store your personal belongings during your stay.

The third bedroom is furnished with single bunk beds. There is also an extra mattress available for guest use, increasing the occupancy of this room to three.

Each of the beds at High Street are dressed in premium bedding and luxury linens to aid a peaceful nights’ sleep.

BATHROOM
The large modern bathroom features star patterned flooring, white metro tiles and bold teal walls. This space features a bathtub with a handheld shower, a separate cubicle shower, a wash basin with vanity unit and a WC. An additional WC can also be found in the outside utility room.

Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during guest bookings. For this reason, we require all our guests to transfer a Damage Deposit (refundable, subject to an administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.

Neighborhood
Perfect for those looking for a relaxing escape to North Yorkshire, High Street is located in the cosy town of Skelton. You’ll find a local pub and supermarket near the house but just a short 3 mile walk will bring you to Saltburn-by-the-Sea so it is an ideal base for exploring the coast.

The Cleveland Way National Trail is over 100 miles long and you can join this in Saltburn. This walk is a great way to explore the North Yorkshire coastline and the views are amazing!

In Saltburn, you’ll find a long stretching beach and charming town centre. Take the oldest functioning cliff lift in the UK down to the promenade and you’ll arrive at the 208-metre pier which stretches out into the sea. The long sandy shores are overlooked by colourful boutique beach huts and high cliffs tower in the distance. If you want to explore further, The Cleveland Way National Trail is over 100 miles long and you can join this in Saltburn. This walk is a great way to explore the North Yorkshire coastline and the views are amazing!

The seaside village of Staithes is roughly a 20-minute drive away and Whitby can be reached in 30 minutes.

Getting Around
High Street is within 30 minutes’ drive time of Saltburn, Staithes, Sandsend, Whitby and Middlesbrough.

The closest train station is Saltburn which is roughly a 5-minute drive by car so you can explore villages and towns throughout North Yorkshire easily. There are routes to Redcar, Middlesbrough and Darlington with connecting trains to Newcastle, York, Leeds, Manchester and London.

There are a number of bus stops throughout Skelton. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend and Runswick Bay.

Catching up with friends this place was perfect. Lovely house with loads of space. Great location for nipping into Saltburn but also a handy base for loads of other locations. Coop was dead handy and plenty of free parking. Will recommend.

It was a wonderful stay, and literally everything on the doorstep. Food shop, restaurant & pub and then a stunning walk along to Saltburn. We were so impressed with the house, facilities, location and our trip was perfect. Keep telling friends to go visit the area as it’s a gem of a place to visit.

We stayed here with our boys and dog and had a wonderful time. The hosts were extremely helpful and communicative leading up to our stay ensuring we had everything we would need and more. Great recommendations for local amenities and eateries let us plan a relaxed and enjoyable stay, particularly with the dog in tow. They even went so far as to provide directions for a great hike down to Saltburn. The house is beautifully appointed and spotless and has the most peaceful, comfortable vibe and has space aplenty for a large family / couple of families. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough and can’t wait to plan our next getaway to a lovely part of the country.

This is our second time here and we love it. It truly is a home away from home. Spacious, clean and very comfortable. Situated on the high street with free parking and great local shops. We love the location as you’re minutes away from the Cleveland way that takes you to Saltburn. Great for taking the dog for a walk. We’ll be back.

This is our second visit staying here. It really is a home away from home. Great location on the high street, ample free parking and local shops. We use this as a base to explore and took a great walk along the Cleveland way with our dog to Saltburn. Lovely. We will be back again. Thanks for having us again.

Microondas y hornos muy sucios. Tazas dentro del armario con restos de suciedad. La bandeja de cubiertos sucia y los cubiertos no tenían aspecto de limpios, cuchillos con óxido.<br/>El resto de la casa aceptable para ser una casa vieja acondicionada.<br/>Sólo facilitaron 1 llave de la puerta de entrada a la casa, no es normal.<br/>Fuimos a ver a la familia en Sketon, por eso la elegimos.

100 High Street has ample space for a family with lovely big rooms and a big bathroom. Great location for local amenities and exploring the coast. Downside to our trip was the cleanliness of the kitchen: greasy crockery, crumbs in cupboards and cutlery drawer, even peas that had dried. Very off putting. Host and Stay were very quick to respond to my concern and did offer for a cleaning team to visit the property that afternoon. I felt this should have been taken care of prior to our visit as we were unable to check in early because of their ‘advanced cleaning practices.’ <br/>Booking through a third party was different also, lost the charm of speaking directly with the property owner.

For the price we paid I felt host & stay check in time of 4pm and 10am checkout was fairly restrictive for our stay. I asked if I could check in early and I was sent a generic auto response refusing early check in because of impecciable cleaning standards, I was sat outside for 2 hours no one came in or out of the property and when i did go on i was met by pushing the door over a pile of letters, flyers and other junk mail so clearly the property had not been stayed in for a number of days ( possibly weeks). For an air bnb I prefer to have a more personal service where owners work with the guests for check in and out times. The property itself was lovely and had everything we needed but I would be reluctant to pay the price again in future as checking out a family + children + dogs for 10am on a Sunday wasnt an easy task

Great location to get around the east coast and lots of walking opportunities. Nice relaxing area with plenty of amenities on your doorstep.<br/>Comfy beds and house equipped for all your needs.
