Well equipped apartment in a great location.<br/><br/>All was good.

Overall, very nice place and amazing location - will definitely go back. As mentioned in earlier reviews, some smell of damp in main bathroom, but just needed the fan on for a bit to sort it. Very good communication with host and would highly recommend the place to others.

Brilliant location & easy to access, we didn’t hear any street or neighbour noise. Great facilities inside. The down stairs area was quite cool compared to the living & upper bedrooms. It’s in good condition but would benefit from a kick of paint in the communal & hall areas. Overall, good value for money.

Great stay as advertised

Apartment was spacious and in a very good location. <br/>There was a noticeable smell of damp as soon as you came into the apartment which had tried to be masked unsuccessfully with defusers. There were quite a lot of cobwebs on the walls and there were a lot of places that needed a lick of paint or filler in the walls. <br/>There was I’m assuming the cleaner waiting outside from about 9.40am with checkout at 10am which was a bit off putting especially because host and stay repeatedly emailed to say we MUST be checked out by 10am or incurred extra charges. Over all we had a nice stay but could have been better

The apartment exceeded our expectation. It was spacious and bright and the location was central but quiet.<br/><br/>The shared entrance smelt musty and would benefit from some TLC

Filthy on arrival, no bedlinen,, dirty towels in Bath. Alcohol on surfaces and floor. Broken plant. Just the worst ever<br/><br/>Everything not been cleaned. No bedlinen or towels. Full bins with pizza boxes. Washing up, broken plant. Sticky floor. Not fit or purpose

Great place in the centre of town close to the shops and the sea. Only downside was the WiFi was a little unreliable and a bit slow.

Great location and comfy beds.<br/><br/>The hallway leading up to apartment is smelly and messy. Bad drainage smell coming from bathroom and shower not very powerful. A few things need attention ie carpet on stairs not fitted well and lots of marks on walls so looked a bit run down. Not filthy but could be cleaner. Oven quite dirty but didn’t use it so wasn’t too bothered. Overall not a bad apartment but just needs tidying up a bit.

What a lovely place to stay. Saltburn is such a treat. We loved the location of the property and we had a very comfortable stay in the flat. We enjoyed cooking meals with our family in the lovely kitchen and a walk to the beach just minutes away. The street below is beautiful with shops and restaurants on your doorstep.

We had a great stay at License to Chill, the apartment is in a great location to enjoy Saltburn and the nearly shops, cafes, restaurants were perfect. Short walk to the beach. Lovely layout of spacious apartment. Only negatives were that there are a few things that need mending/ improving in the apartment eg loose toilet roll fitting, windows that won’t open and stay open (not ideal in summer) cupboard door in bathroom wasn’t attached, main clock didn’t work. It was generally really clean and beds were very comfy. Slight smell of damp on entry and in one bathroom. Kitchen was really well stocked with utensils, pans and basics which was useful. Check in and communication was great.

Never been asked to pay a bond before felt like I was being taken for extra money

This is the second time we stayed at this apartment, and it was just as good. The kitchen is really well equipped and the location really great for both the shops and the pier/beach.

great location<br/><br/>blinds didn’t really block any light. the stairwell was pungent. the sink in the bathroom was far too small.

Wasn’t the cleanest, crumbs on the worktop and in the cupboard when we arrived, and we also hoovered the floor and dusted the skirting board. There was no freezer & we had to remover the fridge shelves because there was no where to stand a bottle of milk or wine, no where to have ice cubes or frozen pizzas etc

We loved this property and it’s location and amenities. We enjoyed our stay such a lot. <br/><br/>It would have been really helpful to know that the apartment was up three flights of stairs before booking as we had a guest with us who found this tricky. A note in the listing would be good.

We had a really lovely stay at this property and found the location perfect. Some lovely local cafes and bars!

We loved the flat and its location. It was warm, clean, functional. comfortable, light and one room even had a view of the sea.<br/><br/>We did not realise that we had to specify before we arrived that we wanted the 3rd room as a twin room - but when we asked for it, it was sorted.<br/>There is a dishwasher but not that many plates, cups etc, so be prepared to wash some dishes by hand.

Great apartment! Great location! Amazing views! Loads of wonderful places to eat and places to see. <br/>If you are travelling to saltburn or the surrounding area this is a great location and place to stay.

Great location for a weekend away

the interior of the apartment was extremely well laid out. 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a shower over a bath. plenty of space . corner sofa was very comfortable.<br/><br/>double bed in the bedroom as you come in the front door. bed needs to be looked at as if you turn over or move it is very noisy.<br/><br/>I don’t know who owns the hallway as you enter, but it smells musty and needs tidying up. doesn’t set a good tone and makes you a bit apprehensive before you enter the apartment.

Three very spacious bedrooms , nicely decorated, lovely open planned kitchen lounge. Love the location ideal ., not far to local eateries, shops & walking distance to the beach , promenade etc Also it's pet friendly.<br/><br/>It was very warm when we were there, one of the bedroom s window can not be opened, <br/>Also there is no freezer compartment so if one were to stay for a few days it would be annoying as we like ice in our drinks etc.<br/>It didn't bother us but it's on the top floor so will not be ideal for less mobile/ elderly person.

Decor<br/><br/>The TV system was a smart TV but the internet service was not good enough to operate the TV system evertime you tried to watch the TV it just kept streaming ever minute or so in which made it impossible to watch any TV program.

Lovely, clean apartment located in the centre of Saltburn on a busy street with bars and cafes. 5 min walk to the beach which is beautiful and very clean. Lots of nice places to eat out. Parking outside the accommodation or on nearby streets is impossible (summer) and we paid in a Sainsburys car park. Communication great. Expensive apartment but we did enjoy our stay. Thank you

Saltburn is such a lovely place to visit and the apartment was a great base, near to shops, restaurants and the beach!

the decoration and furnishings were excellent, the kitchen was well equipped. it was clean, comfortable and just what I wanted. The lady who met me was unbelievably helpful and kind.<br/><br/>the blinds didn’t block out the street lights and I could only see one key to unlock the windows but I couldn’t get the key out of the one window which opened so couldn’t open more

We had a great stay, we had everything we needed, the apartment was really well equipped clean and modern! <br/>Excellent location, 5 minute walking distance to the beach. We managed to park right outside too! Lots of places to eat and drink right outside couldn't ask for more!<br/>We look forward to staying again. <br/>Many thanks

Fabulous! Great location, lovely decor, all in great condition, very clean, great communication - wish we had stayed longer! <br/>There was tea & coffee, cleaning products, dishwasher tablets etc all in there which was handy.<br/>Great local info on restaurants which we used too!

Great place. Location wise is ideal - and plenty of space inside with our young family and dogs.<br/><br/>Host was really welcoming and friendly.<br/><br/>The only downside is we didn’t stay in Saltburn longer. We will be back.

The amount of noise from the street and the bar downstairs was terrible. Drunks and shouting until gone midnight with thumping music. The sheets in one of the bedrooms were dirty with what looked like wine and food stains and the window in that bedroom was also dirty with black dust on the window pane and the Venetian blinds.<br/><br/>Roomy and spacious apartment and plenty of effort gone into making it homely and comfortable. It's a shame that the noise and cleanliness let it down.

We were so impressed with the apartment, attention to detail, comfort and location. The beds are fabulous, so comfortable, and, the kitchen is well equipped. The place was spotless too. We really appreciated the art work in the apartment, as well as the tasteful decor. The sofa is so comfy! We couldn't fault the place. It's obviously a 'labour of love', and the owner has thought about everything and made a truly fabulous 'home from home'. We wished we could have stayed longer, but it was booked out, which is no surprise given it's quality and location. The apartment is within 5 minutes of the beach, and has a distant sea view from one of the bedrooms. There are places to eat and drink right on the doorstep, with a supermarket a stones throw away too, so perfect for both dining out and self catering. Will definitely come again!<br/><br/>The instructions to get into the key box were spot on. However, the key box is quite low down, so a bit tricky for the older person to access. We were very happy that the lovely owner, who had been servicing the apartment, serendipitously opened the door just as we arrived, and opened the key box for us.

Location in a quiet but interesting street .lEasy access for food and restaurants. Very easy on street parking close to flat. Short walk to sea front . Bedrooms comfortable and quiet.<br/><br/>Sofa was low for us older generation. A couple more traditional armchairs would have better for us. Getting traditional channels and real time TV was not easy for us. A few more cups would be appreciated.

See above<br/><br/>On the whole this was an excellent property, comfortable and clean and in a great location. But the bedding on one bed had not been changed (black hairs all over the sheet) and the letting company could not get hold of the owner. Their only suggestion was that we bought fresh bedding and would be reimbursed. Not the best response given the time and where we were.

Excellent location if you want good access to the show and bars. The beach is 5 minutes walk and loads of other great places are just a short drive away. Bedrooms are nice and big and the bathroom very clean. A second cloakroom is a bonus. Well equipped kitchen and breakfast bar plus a dining room table if you need it.

Our first visit to Ssltburn and we really enjoyed exploring the area.<br/>The apartment worked well and in a great location, a few minutes walk to the beach. Several flights of stairs to reach the apartment door , plenty of space and in a quiet location.
