Located a 2 minute walk from all the shops, bars and eateries the town has to offer. This four bedroom semi-detached house sleeps up to 8 guests. A stylish modern kitchen, cosy living room, utility room and WC make up the ground floor of the property.
A bright welcoming hallway leads you through this beautiful semi-detached property. Within the living room you will be greeted with a burst of natural light, a feature fireplace and two luxurious sofas, perfect for long days lounging or family nights in. The modern kitchen is a calming space. The two king bedrooms are spacious and bright featuring sleigh beds with plush fabrics and thick pile carpets, this property is nothing short of home from home. The fourth bedroom features bunk beds which sits alongside the family bathroom, hosting a large oval bath, seperate shower, WC and vanity unit. If you are looking for somewhere to take the family for a weekend stay or to relax for a week by the sea with friends, Simba House is the perfect retreat. Simba House is located in the centre of the charming Victorian Spa town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea on the North Yorkshire coast. Located in the heart of the town, alongside the shops, bars, bistros and restaurants, with just a short walk to the beach and lower promenade. Take the oldest functioning cliff lift in the UK down to the promenade and you’ll arrive at the 208-metre pier which stretches out into the sea. The long sandy shores are overlooked by colourful boutique beach huts and high cliffs tower in the distance. Saltburn has plenty of beautiful walks too. The Valley Gardens are a maze of paths and tracks which wind through the flowers and woodland. If you want to explore further, The Cleveland Way National Trail is over 100 miles long and Saltburn is included. If you fancy a 17.5 mile jaunt, start at Saltburn and walk your way to Sandsend. This walk is a great way to explore the North Yorkshire coastline and the views are truly beautiful!
Simba House is within walking distance of all that Saltburn has to offer and within 30 minutes’ drive time of Staithes, Whitby, Middlesbrough and the North Yorkshire Moors. Saltburn Train Station is a short walk away and has routes to Longbeck, Redcar, Middlesbrough and Darlington with connecting trains to Newcastle, York, Leeds, Manchester and London. There are plenty of bus routes throughout Saltburn. Hop on the Arriva North East route and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Staithes, Runswick Bay and Whitby. The Moorsbus route has drop offs at Newton Under Roseberry, Great Ayton, Stokesley and Helmsley.

Nicely decorated house. Very clean and tidy. All bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Bathroom and ensuite are modern and clean as was the toilet on the ground floor. Kitchen diner was fully equipped and the large table was plenty big enough for 8 people. The location of the property is excellent. It is easy to walk to the nearby town and down the steep hill to the beach, pier and promenade. The stop for the cliff tramway down to the beach is again only a few minutes walk from the house but unfortunately tramway was not working as closed for maintenance and driver training until September 2026. There is a bus stop about 5 minutes walk away from the property, near the station where you will also find a Sainsbury and cash point. The bus will take you to Whitby and in the other direction to Middlesbrough. As parking is hit and miss near the property we decided to leave the cars parked and take the bus to Staithes and another day when we went to Whitby. The bus also stops at the beach which is handy if you don’t want to or cant walk up and down the steep hill. The road is short and parking is on the street is limited but you can also use the surrounding streets. We were lucky there was one space outside the house and one a few doors up when we arrived. If these spaces were not there we would have been parking a few streets away which isn’t ideal when you have luggage and young children. Finding the green wheelie bin and the blue recycling bin for number 12 was difficult, the only bins we could find were for number 10 and 8. We eventually found some un-numbered bins so used these for our rubbish when we left. Hopefully these were correct.
