My family really enjoyed our stay. Jeff was a caring, considerate host

We intended to enjoy the day as much as possible being a beautiful area, but got caught in snow. Yet Geoff had the apartment ready for us earlier to accommodate our original plan. Sadly we arrived late, but Geoff was there immediately to help us get in and show us where things were in their stunning house. Nothing was a problem and gave handy local restaurant guides too. The views are amazing and is an easy walk to shops and local restaurants and bars. Local train station probably 8 minutes walk away so easy to jump on a train. The only annoying thing was the house and location was so nice we didn't want to go home as it's nicer than our own home. Thank you so much

This was a lovely place to stay, hosts were great welcomed us upon arrival and checkout, it was very clean and cosy, everything you could have possibly needed was there, there was nothing missing at all and felt like home, would definitely recommend and would like to stay again in the summer! Stylish and comfortable with everything you need for your stay. Great location only a few minutes from the town or beach and lovely view of the beach and cliffs. Host really welcoming and friendly. The noise from the road can be loud with buses and lorries passing.

This was an amazing Airbnb which i cannot wait to return to . Host met us on arrival and gave several great bar and restaurant recommendations. The apartment is high end with beautiful towels and bedding . The kitchen has everything you need . We were treated with a lovely cheese board and prosecco . We did have an issue which the host immediately attended to which was so reassuring . On the whole this a 10/10

We really enjoyed our stay at "The Nook" as a base for exploring Saltburn and the surrounding area. The property is a credit to the owner's interior design skills, and has loads of quirky features that make it even more special. The sea and cliff views from the living room windows were fantastic. The owner was also very helpful by providing extra local information to make the stay even more enjoyable. The on-site parking was very much appreciated given the town centre location. Thank you for hosting us. We hope to return some day!

Lovely house and everything was perfect. Lots of nice touches. The beds were very comfy, showers were excellent, bath looked delightful but never got a chance to use it. Appliances worked well. All kitchen equipment was in great condition and some nice glasses which seemingly is quite rare and very much appreciated. The house is in a great central location with some lovely views. We love to do a jigsaw when we are away, but with so much to do we almost didn’t have time to complete it. It was really nice to explore the local area and head to the beach all without needing to move the car.

The Nook was a fabulous place to stay. Beautifully decorated and equipped for all our needs. Geoff met us when we checked in at 4pm and said if he had our number he would've called to say it was ready for us sooner. That would have been great as my in-laws would have appreciated the earlier check in but did not detract from our stay. He has a number of recommendations of places to eat and drink, didn't make it to all of them so a good reason to return and try the others!. The whole place was lovely, the bunk beds were really comfortable and the bathrooms fab. We would definitely return to Saltburn and to The Nook, the place a credit to Geoff and his family. The weather :).Although we did get out and about and onto the beach .

Such a beautiful home and absolutely perfect location. Immaculate throughout and everything you could need for a family stay by the coast. We will absolutely be staying here whenever we can!

This is our second stay - it is still as super, all very comfortable and clean and a wonderful location and views! The host was very helpful too. Probably the best holiday cottage in Saltburn. I would prefer not to book with Host&Stay as I've had awful experiences with them before - in fact it took me over a year to decide to book this because unfortunately they're with this company which I prefer to avoid, although I am glad I did as it is a nice property and not like the other run-down ones they have. I did ask Host & Stay to confirm there were no additional charges, and they assured me in writing that there were not. Then, days before the holiday, when I was working 17-hour days and very busy, I was inundated with long messages from them asking for a £250 deposit fee or a £25 insurance fee. I had already paid £890 for 3 nights so I was not massively happy at this. In addition, Host & Stay insisted we can only check in from 4pm and must check out by 10am, which is not ideal, and there was only 1 car parking space. I spent the week beforehand feeling quite down about the impending holiday tbh. The actual host, however was far more friendly, and we were able to check in a early. He was also happy to have a later checkout but we did leave at 10am in any case for a day to York. My older son who came for 1 night was able to park as the host was very accommodating.

Fabulous property! I could list a host of superlatives, but they wouldn't even begin to do The Nook justice. The property owner was friendly and helpful, greeting us on arrival and departure. Milk in the fridge and a delicious cheeseboard were much appreciated. I can't fault The Nook in any way, it's just perfect. The interior is surely of professional design. The central position, a plethora of good eateries and walks within a stone's throw, onsite parking and the train station mere minutes away - all of these are extra cherries on an already generously loaded cake! We intend to return at the earliest opportunity!

Cleanliness, comfort, views, facilities, friendliness of hosts. Good proximity to Saltburn town, bars and restaurants. Traffic noise at night. Proximity to main road. Shower was not fixed and kept sliding down.

Great stay at The Nook in Saltburn. Geoff, contacted us personally before our arrival and pulled out all the stops to get us into the property before our actual check in time. Was there to meet us on arrival and talked us through all the need to knows about the property. The personal touch was a welcome change from contactless arrival. A beautiful accommodation with amazing views and a stone throw away from all the local attractions. Will definitely be coming back again. Thank you Geoff and family.

This is our second visit to The Nook, we loved it the first time and feel the same after this stay. It is a beautiful property in a fab location. Host & stay provided all you needed ahead of arriving and the host made contact too. A really friendly family who made us feel very welcome. Cheese board & milk on arrival is a lovely touch. The bath in the downstairs bathroom is amazing. All in all an incredibly comfortable and enjoyable stay. We will definitely be back a third time.

A hidden gem perfect location friendly host in the wonderful Saltburn by the sea.

The Nook is perfectly located for both the beach and town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea. With plenty of bars and restaurant options within just a short walk, as well as other local amenities. Parking space directly outside made it perfect as a base for daytrips exploring local areas by car. We also had a lovely walk over the cliff tops to nearby Skinningrove beach. Spotlessly clean, comfortable and equipped with everything you need. Would definitely recommend! Well managed by host and stay, but special thanks to owner Geoff also for always being on hand and offering great local recommendations.

The Nook was a lovely place to stay and as described. The host was very helpful and available if needed. The facilities were great and the little touches were really appreciated. Would highly recommend!

Very well presented property. Very well equipped and clean. Spectacular views. Host met us on arrival to explain a few things and make sure we had everything we needed. Property close to local shops, restaurants and bars as well as a short walk to the sea front. Really ideal location. Only downsides are that it is right on the main road so lots of traffic noise early morning/tea time - not a problem if you’re just using as a base and spending most of your time outdoors - but will be important to some. Lastly, beware of hidden charges. £75 cleaning fee and £25 damage waiver adds almost an extra nights cost overall.

A great apartment, recommend highly! The hosts were fantastic too. Perfect location, wonderful ambience. A true gem for relaxation. As a light sleeper, the car noise was a bit of an issue. But my fiance slept soundly and it was clear before I booked it might be an issue for me, so I knew what to expect. But when everything else was so exceptional it was hard to complain too much. I would still very happily stay again.

Loved our stay at The Nook. Beautiful property with amazing views, so much care has been put into the design. A few minutes walk from a great selection of restaurants and the beach on our doorstep. The owner was really friendly and helpful which made our stay even better.

Gorgeous stay at the Nook! Geoff and Sue were fabulous hosts who gave clear instructions prior to check in, greeted is and provided good recommendations and where to find everything/work things in the property. Very clean, had everything you needed. Fantastic shower and bath! Really comfy sofa with lots of films to choose from for cosy nights in, also next to bars/food if you go out. Beach view, walk to beach in 2 mins. Would recommend!

One of the best places I've stayed and I've stayed at a lot! Wonderful home, great location, comfortable and could have easily stayed in and not gone out for the two nights we were there!!! Will 100% be returning

The Nook is a special place and clearly loved and cared for by Geoff and Sue who are great hosts. We felt at home as soon as Geoff had welcomed us. The Nook is well designed and a lot of thought has gone into making sure it has everything you could want for a special stay away from home. The accommodation is all very comfortable with generous beds and rooms. The bathroom downstairs feels very luxurious and decadent. Beware the additional charges made by Host and Stay which are not clearly indicated in the cost of the booking. Either £25 insurance or £250 deposit of which only £240 is returned a month later.

Really beautiful and decorated with a Christmas tree and festive lights. Centrally located and great views of the bay. Fantastic pubs and restaurants all within very easy walking distance.

They had thought of everything. The owner met us at the door with the key and showed us around. Beautifully decorated to a high standard. View of the beach and sea. I just wish we knew we would be left a coffee machine, milk, food, toiletries, we really over packed! The host and stay management company were difficult. A lot of unnecessary emails. A lot of emails and links sent in error. Very little information about arrival and finding the venue. Host and stay tried to take a £250 damage deposit, and charge £30 for the admin of it, which turns out was not necessary.

Location, facilities and super attentive host. Nothing.

We had a fantastic stay. The host Geoff is very nice and friendly. He brought us a cheese broad with very nice fresh bread when we arrived. Patiently showing us few things. He also let us checked in earlier. The holiday home is very cozy and excellent location, only few minutes walking down to the coast. Also there are so many restaurants and cafe nearby in town, only 5 minutes walk. The view is amazing and interior design are so beautiful. The bathroom is nicely done. Also, there are some board games available in the cupboard. The bed is very comfortable. We felt like we were staying at 5 stars hotel. We will definitely be back. :)

High end facilities with a stunning view and the host was amazing Nothing

2nd stay ere came last year no hesitation on coming back this year but disappointed for the amount of money for 2 nights check in at 4 out at 10 even if other guests are arriving does it really take 6 hours to clean.... tbh honest 3 oclock check in 11 check out would ave been better ?especially winter season

Great location and a well equipped house. Beautiful views out to the sea. A great place to come back to relax in. The host met us when we checked in and showed us the key bits in the house and gave us some good recommendations for the local area. Would definitely stay again.

Location was great (in terms of Sea View and proximity to amenities). Accommodation was fantastic for a couple - real attention to detail and some very nice touches. Road was quite noisy (not enough to spoil anything). Not sure the apartment works for a family or two couples given only one toilet (en suite to master bedroom) and children would be on another floor. It was perfect for a couple.

The Nook has beautiful sea views and is brilliantly positioned within a short walk from the train station, beach and town. It’s modern and really beautifully decorated. The owners have taken great care to make it homely and stylish, with everything you could need for your stay. The owner Geoff was brilliant too - so helpful and friendly. Nothing - it was perfect for us and our stay.

Wonderfully appointed apartment but aware of road noise during the day. Great view, especially getting up to watch sunrise over the sea. Welcoming cheeseboard and fresh milk were most appreciated.

Fabulous location, clean ,modern and thoughtfully decorated ,and equipped. Great for families, plenty of things to do , and places to eat . Nothing , it was above , and beyond our expectations.

Waking up in mid summer and seeing the sun reflected on the sea. It was a little noisy. The beach road passes right outside the window.

'The Nook' is simply fantastic. My wife and I had a wonderful three night getaway and wished we could have stayed for longer. The place felt cosy and had spectacular views of the beach. We will certainly be coming back. 

The Nook is a beautiful, well-decorated property in an ideal location to explore Saltburn. We came for a long weekend and wanted to stay and explore the local area so it was good to have everything so close and not need to travel anywhere. It was walking distance from local shops and restaurants, and also from the beach and waterfront. It was also very handy that the funicular railway to the beach was just around the corner, which really helped as one of our family is not very mobile. We got a warm welcome from our hosts, with plenty of useful information about local amenities before we arrived and also a meet and chat when we arrived. There was also space to park our car, right outside the property. We had no complaints at all, everything was as expected or better.

This is a wonderful, stylish home with great views and close to everything that is great about Saltburn! We had a great nights sleep with very comfortable beds, fab showers and bathrooms and a really great space to relax! Highly recommend from us and a lovely welcome from Geoff! We had such a lovely weekend at the Nook. The place was absolutely beautiful and we had such a warm welcome. We were greeted by our host who gave us recommendations on where to eat which was very helpful. The Nook had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We would highly recommend this place to anybody. The best experience I have had with an Airbnb as of yet!

We were met by the host who helpfully explained some aspects of the property and recommended some places to eat. Met by a fabulous cheese and bread selection. Really love the decor and the vibe. I would offer some earplugs as the nearby road noise was a little loud for us (partner is a light sleeper)

We had a fabulous stay at The Nook, the owner met us on arrival, he was very welcoming and friendly. The Nook is immaculate, beautifully designed and comfortable. We felt at home straight away and didn’t want to leave. It has everything that you need, there’s nothing the owner hasn’t thought of and the extra little touches make it extra special. We will definitely be booking again. I would prefer to deal directly with the owner than the management company but wouldn’t let this put me off booking again. Saltburn is a gorgeous place, a real gem.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at The Nook. Such a beautiful place and amazing decor! Perfect location for the beach or the shops/bars/eateries. Complimentary French stick and cheese board was such a nice touch also milk in the fridge for a very welcome cuppa. Very well equipped kitchen. Very comfy bed.

We booked a two night stay at The Plaice in Seahouses and had an amazing time. It’s right on the harbour, spotlessly clean, well equipped and so tastefully decorated. The beds are comfy and the views are so lovely. It’s a family run business and they are super friendly and helpful . Can’t wait to return.

Cosy Nook is ideal for getting to the beach, and accessing the Cleveland Way. It is also close to the town centre for shopping plus restaurants and local deli's. Cannot fault anything, even the weather was brilliant for early September.

This is an excellent property - lovely design throughout, equipped with everything you need (and more) with really thoughtful touches. The host personally greeted us and provided a delicious cheese board, as well as milk and tea/coffee which was really kind. Super comfy bed and great view. We would definitely recommend.

Great little apartment. We really enjoyed our few days away. Really close to the beach and walks and places to eat. Great bath tub! Only thing we struggled with was the noise, its extremely loud in the downstairs bedroom from the traffic and footfall from upstairs.

Stunning property in a prime location hosted exceptionally. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. None of us wanted to leave and all want to return.

A lovely place to be with the sea views. Geoff and Sue were there to greet us. Such nice people and when we got in from a long drive there was a fresh french stick, amazing cheese board with grapes for us to enjoy. A coffee machine which I was so happy about. We did arrive on a very hot 4 days so the sky light made the living room and kitchen very warm. But there was a aircon unit which was a god send. Sue and Geoff waved us off as well. We found a lovely Italian in the town and not far from the Yorkshire National. We had such a lovely time. The Sea Views are from the living room in the Nook. We would go back for sure. We had a great stay at 'The Nook'. Wonderful house, everything you need for your stay has been thought of. Very comfortable beds, lovely bath and shower rooms, very modern interior and we were thankful for the aircon unit during the heatwave! Location is just perfect for the beach, bars and restaurants. The Nook is honestly the most serene and beautiful image we have ever stayed at. Everything at the property was just so thought out with everything available. Every little detail was thought of. Right near the beach with amazing beach views, just breathtaking! Absolutely nothing not to like - the property was just so so perfect!

A really amazing little place to stay! Loved the decor and luxurious feeling of the nook. The kids loved the bunk beds! Communication was great and we were very well looked after on arrival with a baby gate for our little one. I would wholeheartedly recommend The Nook to anyone wanting a relaxing stay in a beautiful holiday home. Geoff, the owner, was extremely helpful before and during our stay, giving us lots of advice on places of interests to visit, including good recommendations on where to dine. On arrival we were greeted with an amazing cheese board, and the whole place was spotless and the decor is to a very high spec. It's in a prime position with excellent views of the sea, we will definitely be back!

Lovely clean stay, hosts were there to welcome us and show us around/ how to use some of the appliances. Very helpful folder with comprehensive guide on how to use appliances as well as local information.

Some place is this. Loved the presents hanging from the glass ceiling and the Christmas tree? Geoff the owner was there to meet us and show us 1 or 2 quirks which was nice. The place is immaculate and the photos don't do it justice.Lovely view down to the beach. On the down side,with it being next to the main road traffic noise can be an issue. Also,we texted Geoff as we left to tell him that we were leaving and apologised for a glass breakage. Our message wasn't acknowledged which we thought was poor.

The Nook is amazing! As soon as you walk in the door you are wowed. The view is spectacular and the detail around the home is just perfect. We absolutely loved staying in Saltburn. The holiday home was luxurious , wonderfully decorated and the space suited us perfectly. The kids loved the bunk beds and we all loved the sea view and the sky light! The gorgeous sandy beach is only a short walk away. We also loved going for walks in the nearby nature trail, the playground and the miniature train. We had all we needed for a fantastic holiday.

Do not hesitate to book this place. Absolutely gorgeous. The level of detail in this place is second to none. Gorgeous treats on arrival, super comfy beds and the view is amazing. Saltburn is a wonderful place and this little gem is in the perfect position for the beach and the restaurants. Simply perfect!

This was our first visit to Saltburn by the sea and wow what an amazing place to stay. The Nook, the moment we stepped through the door, simply stunning. Beautiful, chic and modern. The decor was outstanding. The sea views are amazing. A complimentary cheese board was ready and waiting for us which was thoroughly enjoyed, a lovely touch. What can I say? We had a brilliant stay at the Nook. Lovely scenery, brilliant location and a SPLARKLING CLEAN place! Thanks to Geoff and family for making our stay so personal with a complementary bottle and directions to various locations and eating spots! Lots of brilliant walks nearby and our kids really enjoyed looking for fossils on the beach. Cowbar is close by if you fancy a truly unique walk too. The Spa hotel restaurant accross the road and the seafood restaurant by the pier were just delightful. All in all, we would love to stay again. Absolutely fantastic! ?

Best Airbnb we’ve stayed in, without a doubt! Stunning apartment. Great location and wonderful hosts. Will definitely return.

We came for 5 nights at the beginning of September. We had visited Saltburn a few times in the past but had never stayed there. This property is just amazing. I am still missing the views, it was lovely to eat breakfast in the bay window watching the fishermen on the beach. The hosts have thought of everything you would need and it is very comfortable but also trendy. It was very convenient for the supermarket, but there are also so many nice places to eat and drink on your doorstep. We had a nice time in the gun bar, lots of gins to try. Would love to return.

Fantastic place to stay, great host and The Nook is finished to the highest standard, ideal location for all of amenities. Saltburn has a lot to offer and a delightful friendly old fashioned seaside town.

The property is spectacular, it’s literally like something out of House and Home, every last little detail thought of, a cheese board was awaiting us on arrival, plus some milk..bi-folding doors in the lounge, open up for a great view of the beach and to listen to the sea. Walking distance to the beach and a good variety of bars and restaurants are available, the fish and chips from Sea view chippy are the best we’ve ever tasted!! The downstairs bedroom has an en-suite and also a utility room with a washer/dryer and freezer. both en-suites have walk in showers, plus the downstairs bathroom has a gorgeous free standing bath. Lots of homely touches (take a hairdryer tho, the one in the property doesn’t get warm). For a good night out and a chat with some lovely locals, try The gun Bar, 2 min walk (towards town). Geoff was there to meet us and was on hand if we needed anything, but left us very much alone, good to know he’s next door though if anything goes wrong. 100% recommended, we will be back.

An interesting building which has been fitted out immaculately and is in a fantastic location. The hosts were very welcoming. It is a truly unique place to stay.

Absolutely gorgeous accommodation and the hosts were amazing! Lots of good tips about where to eat etc and the home was sparkling clean. The hosts even offered to put up a baby gate for our young child which was very thoughtful. Will definitely revisit.

We had a perfect stay at the Nook. The hosts were very welcoming and attentive. They left milk and a cheeseboard with breads and chutneys on arrival, which was a lovely touch. The Nook provided all the facilities and amenities for our stay. The decor was beautiful and the apartment was very clean and comfortable. We stayed as a group of 6 and had plenty of room. Would definitely recommend and will be returning very soon. Thank you for a lovely stay!

What a gorgeous place to stay the Nook is. 5 Star luxurious understated decor with every single detail thought of to make the guests' stay comfortable. Donuts for the children, fancy coffee machine, beautiful bathrooms and very comfy beds. The Nook was spotlessly clean and Geoff the owner is very welcoming and accommodating. The Nook is a lovely destination on its own - not to mention the beautiful coast right outside, and nature walks around. There are great amenities within the Nook, and also within walking distance to the house. Our stay was perfect, with great support from and communication with the host.

Had a fantastic stay at The Nook! Beautifully decorated, wonderfully cosy and perfect location. Everything was spotlessly clean - and the showers were amazing. Some lovely touches from our hosts, which were gratefully received. We will definitely be back!

This place exceeded all of our expectations-from the location, to the interior. We felt so rejuvenated after our stay. The only regret is that we couldnt stay longer. The tub in the master suite is AMAZING!!! We will be back in 2020!!!

We have stayed in numerous self catered apartments and cottages all around the world, however The Nook was by far the best we have ever booked. Geoff and his family have put together a really stunning cottage located just away from the town centre of Saltburn-by-sea and on the road leading down to main seafront and esplanade. The whole cottage oozed style and class. The decor inside was excellent the scheme with a very masculine feel using brushed copper effect furnishing, utensils and facilities throughout. The space consists of 3 rooms. The main bedroom downstairs was stunning with a large comfortable bed well designed wardrobes and set of drawers, then there is a good sized en suite bathroom with shower, huge bath, sink and toilet. The classy styles of blacks and whites gave it a high level of elegance. Adjoining the en suite was a small utility room with washing machine, small fridge and tumble dryer. Upstairs there is spacious kitchen/living room space with large couch two dining tables, chairs, a wall mounted tv with sky box. The kitchen area itself was fitted with cupboards and drawers all in a very tasteful navy blue with copper affect handles. We did not make use of the cooking facilities however what was there was more than adequate for anyones needs. The kitchen area also comes with an integrated fridge, dishwasher and microwave as well as a kettle, toaster and coffee maker all matching the copper theme. And then there is a small parking space tucked away from the main road. The location was excellent for exploring Saltburn and the surrounding area including the likes of Whitby and Guisborough. A simple walk in either direction and there’s a lot to discover The Nook being very close to many of the excellent seafood restaurants, fish and chip cafes and bars with a wide choice of menus that is almost endless!! The nearby bus stops mean you can take a trip towards either Whitby or Middlesborough. We would thoroughly recommend this accommodation for couples or a small family looking for a delightful place to stay with everything on the doorstep Excellent Excellent Excellent!!!! We would give The Nook MORE than just 5 stars!!!

I don't even know what to say, we were surprised and amazed by the Nook. It is the best rental that I have ever stayed in. The nook is tastefully designed, a wonderful bright main room and plenty of space. The bedrooms and bathrooms were also spacious and immaculately cleaned. It felt like a real luxurious treat with all the little extras. It is a great location for walks along the beach or a stroll through the local shops. The Tassimo machine and pods made delicious fresh coffees and Alexa was a nice extra. We bumped into Geoff who asked for any feedback on how to improve, I don't think there is anything more he can do! You can see why they are rated as super hosts.

The Nook is the perfect place to stay if you're looking for sea views, comfort and welcoming hosts. I could go on all day about how beautiful and comfortable it is (it's unbelievably gorgeous) but the real highlight is Sue, Geoff and Portia who are so attentive and caring, it feels like a home away from home. They really went the extra mile for us and exemplified the spirit of lovely Saltburn, and we were so sad to leave after a perfect weekend break.

Having never been to Saltburn before, my friends and I decided to have a weekend getaway and our time would never have been half of what it was if it hadn’t been for Sue, Geoff and Portia being so welcoming and warm. The Nook is so tastefully decorated and the views of Saltburn Beach are beautiful. It was a very short walk away from all the main attractions of Saltburn - the Valley Gardens, the beach, Saltburn Town - and any questions we had about the area were eagerly answered by the hosts. I won’t be staying anywhere else when I inevitably return!

I didn’t know to expect coming to Saltburn; I had never been that far north and didn’t know what there was around to see. I went for a much overdue girls weekend to celebrate a birthday. I can tell you now, Sue and Geoff are the most wonderful hosts and I’m smitten with Saltburn. The Nook is the most spectacular house, full of Sue’s incredible homemade trinkets (you’ll be begging her to make you something) and the home is built from scratch by the dream team that is Sue and Geoff. I have never felt so welcome, and everything I needed and more - they were ready to help.Only 2 nights here and I feel like I’ve had a 2 week holiday. Stunning walks, fantastic nights sleep and a family that felt like my own! Sue, Geoff and Portia are only next door, so were our guides from exploring beaches, to hikes in the woods and delicious recommendations for dinner.There is no better place to stay,Even if you have no reason to come to Saltburn; go out of your way to stay at this place - you won’t have a better trip!

Great house in lovely small seaside town. 300m from beach. House had lovely decor and up-to-date tech. We loved the bi-fold doors and sea view. Comfy beds, immaculately clean bathrooms. We highly recommend The Nook. Saltburn-by-the-Sea is charming too.
