Good parking near to property, near beach and local amenities <br/>Facilities good.

Location fantastic , beautiful furnishings and decor .<br/><br/>Sofas a little uncomfortable, and stains on them, a big part of flooring was missing in the kitchen which i tripped over .

I've already sent a message on the email trail for booking regarding my stay. It's a bit disappointing not to have received any response to this.

The beds were clean and comfortable.<br/>Great location, able to walk to everything in lovely Saltburn.<br/><br/>The floor covering in the kitchen was torn and unsightly. <br/>There was nowhere to hang towels to dry in the bathroom. <br/>The sofas are old and of poor quality with a broken armrest on one of them. <br/>There was chewed chewing gum on the window sill in one of the bedrooms...disgusting!<br/>The WiFi wasn't connected and we spent ages trying to get it to connect. Eventually, a helpful person at Host &Stay reported it for us but it wasted our time having already waited over 40 minutes to get the access code for the key box. <br/>The communication with H&S was very poor. We arrived at the appointed time but we received no access code for entry to the property. Calling them, but to no avail, we were left on hold then a recorded message that there was no-one to take our call. Eventually, had to contact who, very helpfully tried to sort it out for us. We were stood outside the property for 40 minutes, in the rain. When we did get the text with the code it said that the code was in the email sent. No such email had been received. We did however, receive advance notice, twice for us to vacant the property on time or additional charges would be made. <br/>Beware of the hidden charges with H&S! There is a requirement for £250 deposit before you arrive. It states that it is fully refundable however, they charge a £10 admin fee for the refund so it is not fully refunded! The alternative is to use their insurance of £25, which is non refundable. The fees are certainly not recycled into the maintenance of the property. <br/>Saltburn is a delightful place to stay. It is such a shame that most of the rentals are now managed by this company who gaslight the renter and do not care for the properties.

Overall the apartment is as described and photos are mostly accurate. The team were responsive and helpful. The sofa was damaged and there are quite obvious stains on the carpet - I reported first morning and team offered to send someone, so they were very responsive in that regard, however I’m surprised they weren’t aware. If you’re looking for a base, without any bells and whistles, this is a good place to stay.

The description of the premises and its locality was totally accurate. The administration and booking process was straightforward and very helpful. There was no need to contact because there were no problems, but we felt sure that any would have been dealt with if required.<br/>There are two flights of stairs to the apartment as described, and parking is plentiful, although as we were there over New Year parking spaces were very busy. <br/>Saltburn is a gem of a place. People are friendly, there are plenty of bars, restaurants, and little shops (including a guitar shop!) to keep everyone happy.<br/>The beach is amazing and attracts many people. <br/>The apartment was great. Very clean and lovely and warm, a lot of consideration had been put into every detail. The beds were comfortable, the linen clean, and towels provided. The kitchen and bathroom were excellent.<br/>The only negative was noise from the flat above. In separating these places into flats not enough thought is put into sound proofing.

It was comfortable and had everything we needed except working heating!<br/><br/>Our problem was more with the management company. We had a deposit taken from our account which we weren’t aware of when we booked. It’s a week later and we have not received it back. We didn’t receive our welcome email and access code and had to make numerous calls trying to get through to them to get them to send our access details. Then we couldn’t turn on the heat, carefully following the instructions. Even though we tried to contact them within the designated hours they didn’t respond till after we left in the morning. So we had a very cold, uncomfortable night.

Nice, well kept place ? ?

A great place to stay for our visit to Saltburn on sea.Right on the beach pathway and close to all the amenities . Everything you need in the kitchen, bathroom was lovely and had lots of towels and products to use.

The flat was clean and tidy. The town has several good places to eat out. The beach is fantastic and our dog was totally exhausted when we left. Great break by the seaside. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

As described<br/><br/>Simplicity

Was a lovely apartment . Was clean great location . But entrance to the place needs attention . Very quiet area . So not traffic noise even though near the beach front . Very minimalistic in the living room could do with some proper wardrobes . In the bedrooms . Not a bad place really few extra touches would be really lovely .

Mooie plek mooi appartement mooie keuken top<br/><br/>De wifi deed niks , maar dan kun je gewoon lekker praten als gezin

Spacious, not too hard to find parking even in holiday time, in quiet area but very near path to beach, and near to supermarket and shops.

The flat was perfect for our stay in the gorgeous Saltburn by the Sea. The location is exceptional, and the apartment was clean and well-appointed.

Lovely place close to both the stunning Saltburn coastline and all the bars and restaurants. Easy to park and close to the railway station as well which allowed us to venture to other places nearby. Would recommend this property to anyone looking for a convenient and dog friendly location. Host & Stay were always very responsive to any questions and requests. We had a great week up in Saltburn and will be very likely be back again!

Lovely bathroom. Great location for the beach and the town.<br/><br/>No real problems except WiFi not working.

This was a really lovely apartment and ridiculously close to everything. I mean Saltburn isn’t very big anyway but the location was so close to shopping and businesses as well as the sea front. <br/>The apartment was really spacious and perfectly clean. Generally well equipped kitchen (although the cutlery was a little on the sparse side). Overall we were really impressed with the place although as other people mentioned the sofas could be more comfortable and larger (the living room is very spacious so it could take much bigger furniture). We’d definitely book here again

The apartment was really lovely and in a great location. Our only bugbear was the living room settees which were tiny (for men) and one particularly uncomfortable. Also mainly impossible to get WiFi but was actually nice to have a break from that as well.<br/>Would definitely recommend this apartment and location.

As the other reviews really, overall it's just about what you'd expect for the price and two bedrooms given the location.<br/><br/>pros<br/>• location - easy to get to the beach and the parade with great shops, bars & restaurants<br/>• free easy parking<br/>• nice bathroom/shower<br/>• easy check in/check out<br/><br/>cons<br/>• hallway/enterance is a bit tired<br/>• noise from adjacent flats<br/>• tired refurb, everything was covered with ten layers of white emulsion<br/>• uncomfortable sofas, sat on floor instead<br/>• WiFi didn't work for our entire stay that would have been simple if we'd be staying with a direct host, lots of frustrating conversations with different people

Excellent location, very clean, modern...

Great place, would highly recommend

Great 1st floor flat, so close to the beach front. Main door and stairwell to the flat door is very drab and tired but once inside the apartment it was all lovely & clean. Sofa facing the TV was not very comfy, as family of four it would have been nice to have comfy sofas to sit on but again not a problem. <br/><br/>The only real complaint I have is the noise level of the neighbours above, which is not in the control of Host & Stay.

great location<br/><br/>shower screen didn’t fit properly so leaked.

Lovely decor. <br/>We chose this apartment as it was our daughter Ruby’s birthday while staying there. <br/>Large enough for a family of 4.<br/>My kids loved the bath.<br/>Close to the beach.<br/>Would definitely return. Even the negatives weren’t enough to put us off.<br/><br/>Not a big deal but there were only 3 forks so I had to use a spoon. Just so you’re aware for the next guests. <br/>Also found magnum wrappers next to and under a bed. <br/>The main door was kept open by fire extinguisher all day.<br/>Men drinking outside a house across from us shouting.<br/>The lower floor neighbours shouted at their dog constantly.<br/>Stains on the mattress protector - don’t want you to think it was us. <br/>Blinds in bedroom don’t block the light. Could do with curtains.<br/>There were building materials and a washing machine blocking the entrance hallway.

Location was great - very close to the town and access to the beach. First time we’ve stayed in an AirBnB that was run by a company rather than an individual but it did what it said on the tin. Clean and easy on street parking. Wifi worked fine once you logged into their system. Bring salt! It’s a middle floor flat and could have been a bit noisy but it really wasn’t an issue for us. We had a lovely stay.

clean and furnished in a modern way<br/><br/>excellent array of utensils, cooking dishes. <br/><br/>nice to be supplied with coffee, tea and sugar with coffee machine (with pods)?<br/><br/>very uneven flooring. <br/><br/>shower screen useless and wasted 2 towels drying floor over the stay<br/><br/>no shaving point so unable to charge electric toothbrush

The apartment is beautifully fitted out and has everything you need, home from home. It is only a short walk from the beach, pier, and restaurants. It is also close to other coastal areas which are desirable.<br/><br/>The area is questionable. There are properties on the same street and all around that area which appear to be broken down into flats which are occupied by undesirables. People walking around with beer cans and cider bottles from first thing in a morning until late at night, we saw police go into one of these properties opposite and bring someone out in handcuffs in broad daylight etc. Not what you expect after spending nearly £300 for a 2 night stay. The occupants of the flat below and/or the workmen in the flat above constantly left the main front door to the property unlocked or put a piece of slate in the door to stop it closing. Lastly, we had workmen in the flat above us for our stay, banging, crashing etc which cannot be helped, but the radio on full blast definitley can be helped and was just disrespectful.

Very light and airy. Rapid response to a plumbing issue. Very well equipped. Located very close to the beach.<br/><br/>The knives were pretty blunt. <br/>No iron, so I bought one and left it in the property. <br/>the sofa arm was broken <br/>would have liked either black out blinds or curtain.

This apartment looked freshly renovated and had been done very thoughtfully in terms of everything needed to make a stay easy and comfortable. <br/>The back up was so helpful and friendly when I forgot how to use a key safe ! <br/>Location amazing . You can see the sea . <br/>I would definitely come back

Great place near the beach. Place was very clean and modern.

Really well maintained apartment. Comfy beds & the perfect amount of space for us. Location is great too<br/><br/>The couches weren't very comfortable and the WIFI was very hit and miss

Beautiful flat, great location and a beauitful part of the world

lovely place in a lovely location

location was great- nice and clean and kitchen was lovely. nice and spacious.<br/><br/>the bath screen enabled water to pour onto the floor which worried us as in a flat. The settees were really uncomfortable with one of the arms was broken. the main issue was the couple downstairs who left their big dog alone on Friday night which howled and barked non stop until about 10. it was that bad I have recordings on it. As a result we wouldn’t stay there again unfortunately.

Nice comfortable place great amenities near buy . Parking great

Enjoyed my birthday good location.clean apartment nice and warm .it would have been nice to have had some christmas decorations up the key safe was very stiff on arrival .the entrance hall was very poor missing light bulbs.very dark going in and out .scafolding been put up next door lots of banging about . First impressions terrible a spot of decoration would improve no end .the ruby retreat youcould not fault

Comfortable flat in a great location

Entrance to property is awful but the flat is lovely <br/>Very uncomfortable sofas

Beds were really comfortable, property was clean everything was there to hand.<br/><br/>The entrance didn’t do the property any justice, first impression wasn’t good. could do with a spruce up, paint, flooring and walls damaged.

Clean and comfortable flat with everything you need for a stay away from home and no problem with on street parking. Great location within easy walk to the beach and restaurants and cafes. Unfortunately, we could hear music from a neighbouring flat throughout our stay.

Lovely place! Would stay again. Close to shops and restaurants and bars. Wanted to stay longer. Close to beach and pier which was lovely. Short drive to Staithes.

The location was excellent sea views and near the town and station. and the beds were comfortable.<br/><br/>Uncomfortable sofas, WiFi very weak struggle to eat at table as cramped.Could of done with some more furniture such as drawers in the bedroom. Was expensive as not high season and was difficult to stay in the lounge I'm the evening as sofas very small and hard.

Spacious and comfortable

Location- very good <br/>Very well presented<br/><br/>Steep stairs and loose stair carpet, the shower was difficult to operate and heating came on, even though it was hot because it had been left on the wrong setting (did say ‘leave on manual’ clearly on the unit)

The location of the property was perfect, just a short stroll to the beach. The property did have parking directly outside of the property, this may have been luck but if you couldn’t get directly outside there was plenty of space. The property was clean and had everything you needed.<br/><br/>The outside of the property looked abit worn.

Great stay in Saltburn. It was quiet on the street and we didn’t really hear much but there is a garden courtyard below so it depends on if they are using that outdoor space if the noise travels. Very clean and a lovely flat in a perfect location, two minutes walk to the seafront and two minute walk into town. Great no fuss stay!

Lovely apartment, really well finished and great location. The apartment was laid out well so it felt really spacious.<br/>Free parking on the road outside the apartment, never any issue finding a space. 50 metres (ish) from the sea front! Would highly recommend!!

Amazing apartment a stones throw from the beach. You can see the see as soon as you step out of the front door. Felt right at home as soon as we walked in. Great communication from the company managing it and check in was easy. Will be back soon

Great location, very clean and great facilities<br/><br/>N/A

Great location, clean and smart flat.

Quick response to issues from agent. Very well equipped flat. Very close to amenities.<br/><br/>Initial problem with lock to flat but resolved promptly by agent. <br/>Unkempt appearance of entrance to building in which the flat was located.

Clean, comfortable and close to beach!

Excellent location for the beach and the Milton street cafes/bars. Good street parking and central to the shops too.<br/>The flat is gorgeous, well equipped and designed.<br/>Perfect for two couples as both rooms are comfortable and roomy.<br/>A very light and contemporary space that was a pleasure to stay at.

Had four excellent days in Saltburn-by-the-Sea. Beautiful area and the apartment is ideally situated near the sea, sea view from the lounge window. Also very close to all the shops and restaurants. Some excellent restaurants at the top of the street.<br/>Apartment, once inside, was wonderfully clean and had all facilities that one needs to make it a perfect stay. The exterior of the building needs some tlc but the inside of the apartment is immaculate.

spacious apartment. Recent decor and modern furnishings- lovely. very well equipped albeit that our stay was too short to use the items supplied. Good location. Clean and fresh (with the exception below)<br/><br/>communal entrance and front door. Blinds look nice but let in too much light in the morning. little dusty (blinds and light shades) but overall very clean.

Modern and kitchen well stocked. Close to sea<br/><br/>Toilet door could not close...hinges not fixed on. No desk/dressing table. When arrived nearly didn't go in. Front door broken outside run down with litter. Shower panel on bath mouldy. Not enough glass tumblers for 4 people. No hooks in bathroom or towel rails. Paint and DIY items left outside flat door. Hallway and stairs run down

Absolutely lovely apartment, close to the sea, spotlessly clean and close to all amenities!

Spacious and clean

We stayed for a long weekend at the Ruby Retreat and we’re not disappointed! A really central location in Saltburn, a minutes walk to the beach and sea front. <br/>It was well equipped and spotlessly clean with excellent communication from the hosts. The beds were really comfy and even though it’s a 2nd floor apartment, it’s was really quiet. <br/>We even had the sunshine to explore all that this beautiful coastline has to offer! We’d love to come back again soon!

Fabulous place only a few mins away from the beach and town centre. The location is perfect. Fabulous walks, little coffee shops and independent shops makes it a perfect place for a getaway

Had a enjoyable time. The place was top notch. Clean and well made. Every pic online was what welcomed us. That I would stay again. The only this was the place is not sound proof I could hear other people from other apartments walking and talking but other than that our stay was extraordinary

Just back from 3 nights stay atRuby Retreat. Had a fab time, the apartment has everything you need and more. All new and fresh. In a very convenient place to beach and town

Nice place a stones throw away from the beach.

Great host, fast reply, great location. Would definitely return. Downside- could do with some black out curtains, and also you can hear everything upstairs

This was a great place to stay, close to the beach and shops in Saltburn, only half an hour to Whitby and close to other east coast destinations. It is a really beautiful flat which is well maintained and has everything you need. However i feel it is worth mentioning a couple of things... the shower needs fixing as water leaks all over the floor and whilst we were there we had problems with the lock on the door, however this was quickly resolved. I have one major complaint, if you have children I don't feel this is the best place to stay. The neighbors are very noisy and we were consistently woken up through the night, my daughter was woken up by the upstairs neighbors having some adult time. Not the best experience for us !!

The apartment was great, bright, airy, clean, modern, well equipped and in a great location, just a few minutes from the beach and the shops and supermarket. There was a good attention to detail and nice little touches of milk in the fridge, tea & coffee. Although your have the entire apartment be mindful that you do have neighbours above and below. We struggled a bit with the WiFi set up and connection as it wasn’t straightforward password access. The hosts were always contactable and replied quickly to any messages.

The place is bigger than the pics. Very close to the beach. And the place is sparkling clean. All amenities looked new. The one downside is prob that you can hear everything upstairs, I mean everything. If you are a light sleeper, might need to consider that.

Saltburn was an unexpected surprise, it was a fabulous little town that offered everything we needed.<br/><br/>Saltburn is the quiet gem to Whitby that is located within easy reach of the busier Sandend and Whitby.<br/><br/>The property is greatly situated for the beach, town, rail station and regular bus routes to Middlesbrough and Whitby.<br/><br/>The property was spotless, well appointed and ideal for two couples and a small pooch.<br/><br/>Would highly recommend.

Spotless and in a perfect location, recently renovated, think we’ve found our new home away from home :)

This is a lovely home from home at the seaside. Perfect location, clean, cosy and welcoming. Would highly recommend!

Great appartment

We had a great stay, location is perfect and the property is lovely.

We were back to see the family for Christmas; so needed a little bolt holt to return to sleep in. Ruby retreat had comfy beds and was newly decorated to a high standard. Really pleasurable stay and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again

A true gem! Stylish, spacious + spotless apartment in a great location for all local amenities/attractions with ample parking nearby. We especially loved: the super comfy beds, smart TV and Nespresso machine. Great job + thank you Stay!

Very stylish, clean and spacious. Excellent location, super close to beach and main street.
