The Surfer's Loft Apartment

The place was lovely, close to the beach and the amenities and was super clean. The pictures didn’t do it justice. Would recommend.

What a wicked flat. 2 spacious bedrooms on a quiet street with a lovely local pub almost opposite. Being on the top floor you hardly notice any noise from the pub and it was a real treat to be able to just pop over and have a drink/food over the festive season. The flat has obviously been well planned and designed to suit the needs of AirBNB. It’s well equipped, warm and a good location. Almost an equidistant walk from shops to beach. Everything is an easy walk.

It was close to the sea and all the attractions. It was beautiful and comfy. Getting to the property wasn’t clear enough. I didn’t read the whole instructions as though it can’t be too difficult but I was wrong. Would help if the code to first locker was first in a message, also clear short instructions rather than an essay how to get into the lockers.

Great place to stay. Quiet and close to the sea, pubs, shops and restaurants. Will be staying there again.

We noticed some wear and tear on the property and reported it to the host. They responded immediately to send someone to resolve it.

It was in a good location Stairs were dirty, flat hadn’t been cleaned properly. Human hair all over the floor and dusty and dirty table and chairs

The facilities available even a first aid box. The bedroom space and living room space. Nicely spacious in general. Within walking distance to the beach. That there was no lift. And a lot of stairs. Shower was basic. One of the double beds was too low and lumpy. Sofa was low and uncomfortable The stairs going up were unclean.

This flat was ideal for us -- very close to the beach in the lovely town of Saltburn. Everything was spotlessly clean and the hosts were very responsive. Because the flat is on the 4th floor, it was quite warm and there was a sign telling us not to open the bedroom window, so it was stuffy. As mentioned by an earlier review, the matress was also uncomfortable in that room -- it tilted me towards the floor. These would be easy things to fix and then the flat would be 5 stars for me.

The apartment is easily big enough for 4 people, all the amenities needed and it is located in the perfect spot. Would recommend going to saltburn if anyone wants a break away from home

went with fiends for the weekend, a good place to use for a base to travel up and down the East Coast. had a few issues with the property and until you get to the end of the process there is an insurance payment to make on top of the rental. the issues Thanks for letting us stay at your apartment this weekend. I have got to say a few pointers 1) the floor of the apartment was very dirty and felt gritty 2) your keypad is very testing in trying to get in 3) the table chairs the bolts that hold the seats in place missing 1 bolt from each chair brackets hanging down 4) the silver light shades and the shower head thick with dust name wrote in the shade 5) crumbs above extra fan inside the cupboard 6) the sink and draining board cleaners must forgot to clean 7) cobwebs in every room and 1 small ? to worry about didn't tell the girls 8) you really need to restore/replace the settee as it has been reported to you in the past Hopefully you will see this as constructive criticism and you can sort the problems out..

Very good location, thats is it, easy to park outside the property, had a good kitchen, wifi was excellant, with you being at the top of the dwelling made it quiter from ohter guests in the building Thanks for letting us stay at your apartment this weekend. Good location and nice apartment. No curtains so the rooms were very light early in the morning. The window in the bedroom didn't open and so the room was very stuffy at night. There was no pole to open the velux windows.

Really lovely place and very conveniently located. The hosts talked to us promptly when we had questions. There weren't any cooking supplies as advertised on the listing (oil etc.) and some other essentials, which although they are not mentioned on the listing, would be really useful and convenient to have rather than buying your own for only a few days' stay (kitchen roll, washing up liquid etc.) so I would just recommend stocking up. Overall recommend the place!

damp in the ceilings, 1 window couldn't be opened and was stuffed with paper to stop any draft. the customer service was extremely poor

The location was good and right by the beach. There were also some handy guides provided by the host company. Unfortunately storm Babet caused some leaking through the ceiling and the windows didn't shut properly, so it was very windy/chilly/loud. As previous reviews said, a lot of maintenence is needed on this property. It also wasn't very clean (used towel on back of the door and needed a good hoover/dust). This was all communicated with the host and hopefully sorted for the next guests.

It was the perfect place, very responsive to questions and would stay again!

Saltburn is a beautiful place to stay and this apartment is two minutes (if that) from the beach. The apartment has been finished beautifully but needs a little upkeep (mattress in one room has a lean on it), sofa broken in the middle (bit still able to sit on) and floors a little dusty (hard due to the sand being brought in I am sure). We'd consider staying again depending on other properties available (we left it too late for Saltburn should have booked a year in advance). A place with potential but not quite living up to that potential (yet!).

The apartment was great. Amount of stairs. Sofa was on its last legs. No instructions for stove or washer. No plug on kitchen sink. Fire alarm broken

Great flat, as the previous reviews state, there are a lot of stairs to reach the loft, so bear that in mind when booking. Great location, very close to the beach. We stayed with our 2 young boys and the flat was well equipped with everything we needed. We had a lovey 2 day break.

Great location. Spacious rooms. Very clean. Could have done with some more cleaning products, sponge etc. It was very warm and with one of the windows unusable it wasn’t ideal. Only minor things!

It’s a good price. Rough area but it’s got free parking and is cheap.

Really only used the apartment for sleeping there at night as we were out early and back late so didn’t really use everything, apart from having a bath which was wonderful. But the place was as we hoped, all of Saltburn amenities right on your doorstep, apartment seemed to be well equipped, it was clean and tidy and quiet at night. The beds were comfortable, so all in all, very pleased and would be happy to stay there again. The 4 flights of stairs up to the apartment have been mentioned several times by others, it wasn’t a problem for us, but it is something to bare in mind if you have any mobility issues.

Great 2 bedroom flat in the heart of Saltburn, close to the beach, train station, food shopping and a good number of bars and restaurants. A few stairs to navigate but good exercise!

We’ve stayed through H&S before, the properties are always well kitted out and stylish. Surfers loft was a little unclean when we arrived. Mainly dusty, floors and some surfaces with one light having clean me written in the dust from a previous guest. We also had an issue with the smoke alarm which wasn’t ideal, at first we were told the job wouldn’t be prioritised and we would have to wait to the next day. Although the alarm was going off every 11 mins so after another phone call maintenance was sent out after 5th/6th time it went off. This was 8pm ish so wasn’t ideal with 2 small kids but these things happen. Was also surprised the TV wasn’t a smart TV. Other than that, was happy with our stay.

Liked the location and the apartment,was a lot of stairs for us and a 4 year old to climb. Would be happier with a fire escape,as we were on top floor.

A really nice little bolthole to explore Saltburn from; it was very clean and pleasant, and had all the amenities we needed. Plus, 30 seconds' walk from the beach! The only downside is the amount of stairs you have to climb to access the flat, but we were warned about that so it wasn't a shock. I'd definitely stay again.

Really good location. Close to everything, but a nice quiet road. Plenty of free parking available too. There are a lot of stairs up to the apartment, so bear that in mind! The apartment was really clean and had everything we needed.

Modern decor. Bright. Good facilities. Staff very responsive to issues. Good location. There were issues with the cleanliness of the apartment on arrival but we were compensated by the management who were very responsive. Also the skylight blinds are hard to close so very bright early morning.

Great little place in Saltburn, just spent the week here. Great location, right near the seafront. Apartment is comfortable and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Bars, pubs and restaurants within walking distance. There are some great walks in and around Saltburn, some like the Valley gardens you wouldn't know are there. Ideal base for discovering the attractions in the surrounding area.

Great flat! Very modern and well appointed with a perfect location to explore the lovely beach and town of Saltburn. We had such a great stay with our two small children!! Would highly recommend this property!

A lovely space in a great location, so close to the surf and to the bars and restaurants. 90% of places were dog friendly or allowed dogs outside, plenty of nice coastline walks . The apartment is well equipped and had everything we needed, the Alexa and tablet a great addition. A great stay, Thankyou.

Great location near to the sea, and local independent bars and cafes - and Sainsburys is very close for provisions. Stylish interior worth the 56 steps to get there. Good communication from our host.

What an amazing apartment! Great location for Saltburn! Very clean, spacious and up to date with the decor (just like the pictures) Quick to reply with queries etc but we had no problems, if you don’t mind the flight of stairs then it’s brilliant. Right on the sea front and a minute walk from bars and restaurants, we provided our own food for breakfast and drinks but there we’re plenty of storage for it. We will definitely be returning to this apartment and to Saltburn! ??

The location of this flat is absolutely perfect for a weekend coastal beach stay. Literally a 5 minute walk down to the beach but a 1 minute walk to the cliffside view of the ocean. It is a loft so it had sky lights which were so nice for lighting and looking up at the sky. The place is very up to date with appliances so it was easy to cook in and stay in for the night. For people who aren't good with stairs it is a good walk up flights of stairs just be aware. Communication and check in were good. They were not as prepared with amenities (toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, etc.) as they could have been but once communicated with them they accommodated us since it was 4 of us staying here. But overall good stay and would recommend. Enough space for 4 people!

A nice clean apartment, with good touches like an alexa and well equipped kitchen. Has no lift or outdoor space which slightly impacted out stay.

Great location and stylish place. The decor is very cool with a beach vibe, perfect for the location. It’s very close to the beach and all of the restaurants and shops in the town.
