Cayton Bay Cottage

The house is in a great location to visit the local places of interest, eg 3 miles from Scarborough. The house is similar to the pictures, unsure why it doesn't show the hot tub though as it's huge and a great asset. It's a hard standing hot tub + for 5 people. The garden has a patio area with seating but the patio hasn't quite been finished around the edges yet but it didn't affect us. Beds are comfy, 3 bathrooms were great + the kitchen was well equipped. The sofas were a bit stained+ itchy and could do with a deep clean. The area is very quiet + felt very safe. We couldn't access the garage for the games room unfortunately. We emailed and they responded quickly to say they would look into it but unfortunately nothing was done before we left, so no games room for us which was disappointing with two boys looking forward to it. I would visit this Airbnb again for the area it's in, the size of the property and the wonderful hot tub.

Perfect base for the east coast.

Lovely place, very spacious. The whole house was very clean and smelt good. Lots of kitchen accessories for easy cooking and the hot tub was a good size and a solid bit of kit. Main bathroom does get water on the floor as shower screen not long enough/doesn’t seal to bath, but a towel on the floor fixed that. The beds and sofas were very comfy and the host allowed me to charge my car, which I didn’t expect so thank you. Few min drive to shops and McDonalds and 8 mins from Scarborough.

The kitchen was well equipt, beds were clean and comfy and there was private parking for two cars. Upon our arrival we found human feces on the floor of the onsuit bathroom and the toilet seat was loose. The garden was scruffy looking and the hot tub was not working as it had been damaged previous to our visit. Of which two weeks after our stay I recieved and email from Host & Stay to suggest we had done the damage and had to pay the repair bills. It got sorted in the end only after causing myself lots of stress over it and complaining to Host & Stay. I suggest any damage you come across during your stay you get photo evidence or report immediately so you can prove it wasn't you.

This is a lovely property with plenty of space both inside and out. Clean and tidy, very comfortable. We would book again if in the area.

Well presented, clean, spacious property with a well equipped kitchen. Great location to access all the East coast has to offer

Nice modern house, and very clean (apart from the sofa and cushions which need a clean). Very fast WiFi (200+ Mbps). 4pm check-in time is a bit too late. Very disappointed with the company that manages the property. ('Host & Stay'). Despite the house not being booked on the days prior to my arrival, when I asked the day before arrival, they wouldn't let me check in a couple of hours early (without a £30 fee, which I found unacceptable). The customer service I received was poor, and frustrating. After I booked it stated, in the Airbnb app, that the garage is a games room (I sent a screen shot to them). When I asked where the key was I didn't receive any response. The master bedroom was warm but the other two were quite cold, even though the radiators were on full. Unable to turn the ones in the master bedroom down as they didn't have thermostatic radiator valves. No recycling bins both internally or externally.

Me & my friends (a group of 5) thoroughly enjoyed our stay within this lovely holiday home! There was shops nearby and the beach was around a 30 minute walk away. The house was lovely and clean and there was plenty of room for all five of us. The hot tub was also a lovely treat! If you are looking for a peaceful getaway this is the one! :)

We have just got back from a lovely New Year’s stay in Cayton. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hot tub was an added bonus! We loved the beach at Cayton Bay which was a few minutes drive away.

Warm and cosy and the hot tub was a great addition.

Nice clean place. I was there on my own so cost me a few quid but it would be ideal at that price for a family of 4. Nothing. All good.

The house was beautiful, very clean and well equipped. The beds were amazingly comfortable. A couple of minute drive to Cayton Bay beach and 15 minutes to Scarborough. Our 2 grandsons wanted to live there forever!! We will definitely be back.

This is very lovely place easily accessible to the main road and Clayton bay. Everything is supplied in house .People who want to live a little longer and to do grocery,there is a shop near at the entrance of the road, only 2 min drive there. We could buy biscuit, bread , and milk for our breakfast. Host is very helpful, and her response is very quick…literally just within few minutes whenever I need information about home. Cleanness is 10/10. We were very happy and very satisfied while staying there. I would recommend to everyone to this place.
