Clifton House

Four of us stayed for 3 nights in Dale's place in Scarborough and we had a great time there. The location is great and really near all the main parts of town and easily walkable. The property is super clean and contained everything we needed for our stay. Comms were great and it was easy to check in and out. I'd definitely recommend this place for a few nights in Scarborough.

Clean tidy and has everything you need. Lovely and spacious. We had a lovely stay and would go back. The living room chairs aren’t very comfy and could do with an additional two seater settee where the bamboo chair is. There was 6 of us and we couldn’t all get comfy and watch tele. Also I think more than one key should be provided as it causes us issues on our night out. The front door can’t be locked without the key, so the ones that went back early couldn’t lock them selfs in, they had to go to bed and leave the door open for the later ones.

In summary. Clean property fairly priced. Negatives: May have 8 beds but I wouldn’t recommend more than 5/6 people try using 2 bathrooms and a tiny lounge and kitchen. Bedding super cheap duvets that make you sweat. Checkout at 10am ain’t great when you have 8 people using 2 bathrooms

The bedrooms were spacious with comfortable beds and lovely bedding. The whole house was clean and well equipped. It would benefit from a couple more comfy chairs/extra sofa in the living room.

Location was good. House big enough for the 3 of us. Rooms nice and spacious. Attention to detail on cleaning was poor. Towels could have been of better quality. Only one tea towel for 4 days. Couple of maintenance issues.

We stayed for my mums 60th. The location is close to town which made it very easy. The host let us stay an extra night too. The only small thing that wasn’t perfect was the extra charge for insurance on top of airbnb charges. It would be helpful for this to be made very clear on the listing. All in all a very good stay and we would return. Thanks

Amazing locating , comfort and space perfect for a 6 adults with a baby would highly recommend and will definitely be returning Only small issue was parking with 3 cars we had to pay in the public car park for 2 but would not put us off coming back again

The property is absolutely fantastic. 6 of us stayed for a weekend and the house was great the location is really good there’s bars shops restaurants and takeaways all in a couple minutes walk. The seafront is only a 10 minute walk away. The house was clean and well stocked with everything you need. The very small thing that lets it down was the lack of onsite parking although the nearest car park is a couple of minutes walk I personally don’t like leaving my car away from where I’m staying.

It was a well-located property with a short walk to the main shopping areas. The property was easy to find and there was paid parking close by. Communications with the host were fantastic and all enmities were as described, the beds were comfortable too. The only thing I would suggest is that a physical welcome pack/set of instructions in the property could be used to replace the numerous post-it notes stuck in various areas. Although informative, they take the shine off a little.

Really lovely house, amazing location only 15 minutes to the beach. Great space for the 7 of us and A LOT of space within the house to relax and enjoy our stay. Would recommend to people when visiting Scarborough. Fab hosts very quick with responses. Thank you again

Great place to stay. We stayed as 7 friends for a weekend in Scarborough. The house is clean and well kept inside with everything you need. The house is close to restaurants and pubs and a short walk to the beach and castle. Supermarket nearby. The host was great and was really helpful. Only thing to note is the area around is not the best. Wouldnt walk around by myself. You have to park in the car park round the corner 6 pound for 24 hours which isn’t bad. Overall great for the price and would definitely stay again.

Very clean lovely decor and lots of extra useful items in the house On arrival we wasn’t too sure about the area but it was quiet and no problems at all so really didn’t matter car park was literally just behind and nice walk to the seafront

Clean and comfy beds.

The house was as described, with great amenities. Our host was very helpful when we struggled to park due to some roadworks outside the property. Perfect base for a weekend in Scarborough

Quiet ,spacious house in back streets. Ok for 7 people . . Spotless,simple and light modern decor.Good beds, and new bathroom. Easy walk to beaches, castle and shops. No locks on bathroom doors. V.small cafetiere and teapot for 7people. No big jug for making cocktails. Shame about plastic plants. 10 o' clock early for checkout , especially if you are only there for a weekend.

Lovely spacious and clean house. Nice touches for example hairdryer in each room. Tea and coffee left for you. The only negatives were the lock where the key should have been kept was accessed why we were out as it was wide open when we came back (key safe) luckily we kept the key with us. The area seemed a little unsafe and we were being watched a lot from houses across the rd when we were going out. Also we were told where to park and paid £9 for 24 hours then when we got to the house there were passes we could have used to park on the road! So we paid £36 parking between us when we needn’t have so communication about this would have been helpful. The house was very clean and well looked after. Just a shame about those few issues

Great central location. Lovely property

A beautifully decorated house that was welcoming and extremely clean. The table that was stocked with local attractions and things to do booklets and flyers was really helpful. It was really handy having Tescos and Aldi within walking distance of the house as well as a plethora of nearby takeaways and restaurants. Although parking was a little frustrating the host provided lots of information about parking possibilities nearby which really helped solve the parking frustration. We are an extended family of 6 who had recently lost a husband, father, and grandad and booked this weekend away to spend his first birthday together without him supporting each other during the difficult time. This was such a perfect place to be nice and really near so many great things to do as a family, which we all loved experiencing. Thank you for making a difficult time a much more beautiful time away from home with our loved ones xxx

Great place to base family of 7 for 3 night stay. House very well laid out for us and had more of the little things than most airbnb (washing up liquid, toilet paper etc)

Very clean and comfortable sleeping for 4 adults - six in the lounge end of the through lounge was a bit of a squeeze but fine. Scarborough isn’t the most affluent of towns and it shows a bit but location was just 10 mins from either beach.

very clean good spec really nice property in easy walking distance to both bays. needed more storage in downstairs bathroom, day 1 massive domestic on the street where a man fell out of the window and proceeded to threaten everyone and his ex including pulling off drain pipe etc.

Had a great time in Scarborough. Property was clean and well equipped. Great location for all amenities. One little thing is to improve the outdoor seating area.

A well equipped, and recently renovated house with 2 double bedrooms, 2 twin bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and living/dining area. Comfy beds and clean spaces. Host & Stay who manage the property were very helpful and easy to deal with - we left something behind and they organised posting it to us very easily. It is not the most salubrious part of Scarborough, but there's a Tesco Express and a decent coffee place within a minute's walk, and it's only a 5-10 min walk into town. It worked very well for us.

This property was great and was perfect for our stay in Scarborough ahead of our friends wedding. It was close to the centre and looked as described!

Really nice house, well decorated and good communication from company who run the house. The area isn’t the best and I wouldn’t want to walk around at night on my own but for access to South Beach it was good.

Prefect place to vist very central and loads of place to eat. Walking distance to most places tbh and Nice and clean perfect for families with great Wi-Fi and Tesco is just around the corner to stock up on. Parking outside with a permit is available if you can park there (permit is supplied in the house) and a pub across the road ?

This is a clean and well-decorated property in a central location in Scarborough. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfy and the wifi worked well. Communication beforehand was excellent too.

A lovely stay in a beautifully decorated and maintained property! It was really great for our family (6 people ranging from age 2-60) and in great close distance from the beaches and other attractions. (Walking distance or 5-10 mins by car) We didn’t spend much time in the property but there was TV and comfy seats as well as a lovely large dining table so very accommodating for staying in too. Only marked down on location for the awkward parking which can’t be helped by the owner (we came in two cars due to being 6 of us so had to find parking spaces for both if ever we went out). However, parking permits and parking disc were supplied! Lovely restaurants nearby, including a Shawarma restaurant on Victoria road which we would highly recommend! All in all we had a lovely time, thank you.

Brilliant accommodation, right in the centre of Scarborough. The place was super clean and well kitted out. Highly recommend.

Super clean house, really nicely furnished & comfy beds. The area wasn’t the best though & parking wasn’t easy. The location was handy for walking to everything, it was just far from picturesque!

Accommodation was great, perfect location between both bays, Peasholm park and the town centre, all within walking distance. All the rooms were well furnished, beds very comfortable and a request sent for anti-allergy bedding accepted and repainted to. The kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils needed and facilities for baby including a seat to (Email hidden by Airbnb) munication was good and clear instructions for check-in and check-out with an easily accessible key in a safe lock.

We had a brilliant stay in Scarborough. The accommodation was lovely and we were very comfortable during our holiday. Dean Road car park is close enough to the rear of the property that we could keep an eye on the car which gave us peace of mind. The location is fabulous with South and North Bay within easy walking distance. Local buses provide an excellent service. We went to Robin Hoods Bay on the bus one day because we were unable to park when we travelled there by car a few days earlier. We can recommend one of the many treasure hunts available in and around the surrounding area. They are available from book shops. Scarborough castle is also worth a visit. We enjoyed many meals out in Scarborough and weren't disappointed by any. The Scarborough Arms and the Italian a little way up the main street were the best of a great bunch. We genuinely enjoyed our family holiday and hope you do too.

We had a wonderful stay at this property, which is centrally located for many of Scarborough’s attractions. The property is decorated to a high standard and is well equipped for guests. It was also very clean, which we found reassuring in light of the pandemic. We would definitely stay here again.
